#1 | PHOTO VIRTUAL TOURS

Virtual tours are becoming essential for any

physical based business to compete online.

Let's say two identical gyms are competing for the

exact same pool of customers. One gym has a
fantastic virtual tour on their website that is seen by
hundreds of people a day, and the other doesn't.
Which gym do you think will win more customers?

Of course, the one with the tour! The immersive

experience of seeing the gym premises in 360,
helps customers visualise themselves being there.
And on top of that, Google (due to higher
discoverability) will rank them better, meaning
even more customers for the business.

And right now, there's a big gap in the market for

virtual tour photographers willing to provide this
service.

Virtual Tour Pro | 04

A virtual tour helps businesses share the look & feel
of their physical location to millions of potential
customers. Done correctly, a virtual tour will entice
real-life visits, and (hopefully) sales for those
businesses.

Let's take a step back & look at this from the

perspective of your future client. Most businesses
want more sales, right? Who doesn’t? And what
helps them get more sales? Well right now, the
best method to achieve that is through online
marketing.

Most successful businesses will make massive

investments into photo & video content each year
for their marketing, with the hope of attracting
new customers. A virtual tour is just another form
of that same content, that can help achieve the
same outcome... and sometimes... will even be a
better choice than flat photo & video content.

YOU GOTTA SPEND MONEY

TO MAKE MONEY.

Think about it. Would you spend $1000 today if it

made you back $10,000 tomorrow? Any smart
business owner or marketing manager would say
yes. While there's no guarantee of results, usually
businesses will invest money if they become

Virtual Tour Pro | 05

convinced there's a solid chance of making it back,
and more.

If you can help a business understand how a virtual

tour will result in more customers through the door
and that they will indeed make their money back
and then some, this will be the quickest path to a
‘yes’.

The best part is, virtual tours are actually really easy
to shoot & edit! All you need is a 360 camera & a
monopod and you’re good to go. There are a variety
of free & paid virtual tour softwares out there that
you can make professional tours with in no time.

If you want a head start on this, feel free to check

out my Virtual Tour Pro course. I cover the entire
process of how to plan, shoot, edit, get clients & get
paid for your virtual tours. I even go through
real-world client projects, giving you exclusive
access to my entire workflow. I cover the whole
process from start to finish, showing you how to
start a profitable 360 business from scratch.

#2 | VIDEO VIRTUAL TOURS

A video virtual tour is very similar to a photo virtual

tour, except it uses 100% 360 video content. This is
very useful when the location is "experience" &
movement-based. Think theme parks, sports
facilities or anything recreational. A 360 video
becomes an invaluable tool that brings the location
to life.

Think of photo virtual tours & video virtual tours as

tools in your toolbox. Maybe you'd prefer one single
video in a photo virtual tour. Or one single photo in
a video virtual tour. Use whatever medium suits the
location best and mix them together, if the
situation calls for it. As long as the tour helps
market your client's business better, then the
choice is yours!

#3 | 360 STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY

Stock photography has always been one

of the best ways for DSLR photographers
to earn passive income. And right now,
the same opportunity exists for 360
photos!

The go-to website for professional 360

photographers to sell their work, is
360cities (https://www.360cities.net/)

Just make an account, upload your

photos, and you’re ready to go. They’ll
soon be available for sale, and you’ll be
notified when someone purchases a
license to use them.

Remember that with stock photography,

it needs to be:

A A high-quality image with

exceptional shooting & editing.

B Thematically appealing to as broad of

an audience as possible.

Virtual Tour Pro | 08

That means no blurry selfies taken in your backyard
with a $100 360 camera. Your photo needs to be
usable in a wide variety of contexts. Think nature,
landscapes, cityscapes & other picturesque
locations.

Many well-known stock photography websites now

also accept 360 photography. This includes
Shutterstock, Istockphoto, Getty Images and more.

#4 | 360 STOCK VIDEO

The same applies to 360 video. If a company is

making a 360 video and needs one single shot to
add to a bigger video (let’s say they’re looking for a
360 video of a boat sailing under the Sydney
Harbour Bridge), it’s much cheaper for them to buy
a clip online for a few hundred (or thousand)
dollars than to fly a team out to Sydney, Australia,
to get one single shot.

As with 360 photos, try to keep it as widely

appealing as possible… think nature scenes,
cityscapes, landscapes, far away places.

Also, make sure there’s enough movement within

the scene to justify it being a video!

#5 | 360 VIDEO FOR CLIENTS

As mentioned before, online video content is hotter

than ever right now. Millions of videos are uploaded
to the internet every single day. And it's not only
personal content but business content too.
Businesses need videos showing their audience
who they are and what they do. They also need
regular video content for their website & social
media channels to stay competitive.

While a 360 video may not be the obvious choice,

many clients are open to it & you can sell them
with the right approach.

If a business is well known for its location, 360 will

showcase it in a unique way, in which no other
medium could. Think tourism, activity-based
industries & anywhere with a strong sense of
atmosphere.

Virtual Tour Pro | 11

Most businesses will already have a few flat videos
made, but likely no 360 videos. So showing them a
great sample 360 video (that’s relevant to their
industry), will likely get them curious to know
more.

Just search YouTube and Google for the keywords

of the business, and '360 video'. For example,
search 'music festival 360 video' if you're trying to
sell to a music festival. Finding the best sample will
give you a leg up when you go to pitch.

Not all will say yes. But if having a 360 video

genuinely makes sense for them (and you can
demonstrate that effectively), you might gain their
curiosity & potentially their marketing dollars.

#6 | VR HEADSET BASED CONTENT

For some businesses, 360 content tailor-made for

VR headsets can be extremely valuable. One great
use case is for training purposes. A VR experience
has the power to simulate dangerous, hard to
reach or once-in-a-lifetime experiences for team
members of the business. This level of immersion
& realism can't be achieved on a phone or a
computer.

Virtual Tour Pro | 13

OR

A business could have a VR headset in its reception

or visitor area to showcase high-quality VR
experiences.

Maybe it's a cruise company, and they want to help

their customers' feel' what it will be like if they take
the cruise. Perhaps it's a museum, and they want to
show their visitors something they may never see,
like the Northern Lights, in 360. A dedicated VR
display is an excellent way for businesses to show
off their content in the most immersive way
possible.

If you can show your prospects the "feeling" they

will get from a great 360 video in a VR headset... it'll
be much easier to sell them, as they’ve experienced
it first hand.

VR headsets are also relatively cheap, ranging from

$10 for a cheap cardboard type headset to
$500-$1000 for something more high end. You also
can provide your client with a bunch of headsets
with the content preloaded as part of the package
you offer them.

#7 | 3D, VR180, 3D 360

Another cool medium to consider is

Stereoscopic (or 3D) photography and
video. Many 180 and 360 cameras are
now capable of capturing 3D content,
and the results are truly amazing.

When viewed in a VR headset, the content comes

to life with an incredibly realistic sense of depth
through the 3D 'layering' effect that regular 360
cameras can't achieve.

Any business savvy enough to know what 360 & VR is,

will be an easy sell. You can position stereoscopic
content as basically an upgrade to regular 360 (as it
still displays as 2D when viewed outside of a headset).

Always try to show your client an example of 3D

content in a headset instead of describing it. A VR
headset is a potent sales tool. And if you don't own
one, buy one ASAP and open yourself up to the
fantastic world of 3D photo & video!

3D is yet another medium that most people won’t

have experienced yet & that businesses (with a
budget) may be willing to gamble on.

Virtual Tour Pro | 15

#8 | SOCIAL MEDIA 360 CONTENT

Every serious business has a Facebook, Instagram,

Twitter and maybe even a YouTube account. And
they're probably posting to those accounts once a
day, if not several times.

A 360 post is the perfect addition to compliment

the streams of ads, graphics, videos & photos
they're already posting. But the added edge is that
360 is much more likely to gain attention because
it's different.

Think about the BEST

360 photos you've seen
on Facebook.
Could you make something similar for a client?

Virtual Tour Pro | 16

Maybe it's an excellent 360 inside their shop, (aka a
one photo virtual tour). Perhaps, it's a shot inside
one of their products (for example, the client is a
car dealership and you get an awesome 360 inside
their most impressive car).

The bottom line is, businesses need great content.

And if you can provide that for your client in the
form of a 360 shot they can post to their social
media, then it's something you can charge for, just
like you would with any other type of content.

#9 | EVENTS & WEDDINGS

360 photo & video is a powerful way of "capturing

the moment forever". You can watch the same
moments back years from now with a level of
realism & immersion that flat photos can’t.

Imagine watching back your

wedding in a VR headset,
in 3D 360, 20 years later.
You would feel like you were sent back in time
to that very moment. Like you could reach out
and touch your bride (or groom) again.

If you happen to be working as a photographer or

videographer for corporate events & weddings, you
should consider adding 360 content to your

Virtual Tour Pro | 18

15
offerings. You can add it as an upsell to any of your
packages. Show them awesome examples of
weddings in a headset & they'll be sold instantly!
This additional content lets you deliver incredible
value to your customers.

And it doesn't have to be just weddings. Any type

of event where a photographer would be required
could also be suitable for 360 content.

Virtual Tour Pro | 19

#10 | REFRAMED 360 CONTENT

You probably know by now that 360 cameras aren't

only for 360 content. Sometimes you need a fun &
unique angle to capture a moment with.

Enter: the 360 camera. While it wouldn't be ideal

for entire client shoots or corporate videos, a 360
camera is great when there's action involved. You
can grab some amazing B Roll footage that you
can reframe & cut in with the rest of your work.

You can even offer your clients social media

content, such as tiny planets, hyper-lapses,
time-lapses, reframed 360 videos & more. This will
help you beef up your videography & photography
packages.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Whether you’re into 360 photography or

360 video, this list likely holds at least one
powerful monetisation strategy you’re not
trying.

So your homework is as follows: choose the

one thing from this list that you liked the
sound of the most, and go do it! Take the
first steps now, to get the ball rolling.

With that said, from my observations the

one that holds the most potential to
become a scalable and highly profitable
business would be 360 Photo Virtual Tours.
This is because the cost of entry is really
low, and you can start attracting clients
and getting paid for your work literally
within just a few days.

It also holds the highest value for new

clients that have never heard of 360, as the
use case is the most obvious. Also they’re
easy to sell - you can easily show potential
clients some impressive sample tours that
are similar to their type of business, to get
them excited.
