8 SOCIAL MEDIA 360 CONTENT

Every serious business has a Facebook,

Instagram, Twitter and maybe even a YouTube
account. And they’re probably posting to those
accounts once a day, if not a few times.
o compliment the stream of ads, graphics,
T
photos & videos they’re already likely to be
posting, a 360 post is much more likely to
catch their audience’s attention, due to being
different.
Think about the BEST 360 photos you’ve seen on
Facebook. Could you make something similar
to this for a client?

Maybe it’s a great 360 inside their shop (aka a
one photo virtual tour). Perhaps it’s a shot inside
one of their products (for example, the client is
a car dealership and you get a great 360 inside
their most impressive car).
The bottom line is, businesses need great content.
And if you can provide that for your client in the
form of a 360 shot, then it’s something you can
charge for, just like you would with any other
types of content.

9 EVENTS & WEDDINGS

360 photo & video is a powerful way of ‘capturing

the moment’ to watch back with a much
greater level of realism & immersion than flat
photos could ever achieve.
Imagine watching back your own wedding, in
a VR headset, in 3D 360, 20 years later. It would
feel like you were standing there in the moment
once again.
If you’re currently working as a photographer
or videographer and shoot events & weddings,
then upselling 360 content is a great opportunity
to add even more value to your client for more
money. Show them some great examples of
a wedding in a headset and they’ll be sold
instantly!
And it doesn’t have to be just weddings. Any
type of event where a photographer would be
required, could also be suitable for 360 content.

10 REFRAMED 360 CONTENT

You probably know by now that 360 cameras

aren’t only for 360 content. Sometimes you just
need a fun & unique angle to capture a moment
with.
Enter: the 360 camera. While you wouldn’t use
it for an entire client shoot, for your corporate
videos when there’s any kind of action involved,
using a 360 camera will help capture some
amazing B Roll footage you can then reframe,
and splice in with the rest of your footage.
You can even offer your clients extra social media
content, such as tiny planets, hyperlapses,
time lapses, reframed 360 video and more, to
help beef up your videography & photography
packages.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Whether you’re more into 360 photography
or 360 video, this list probably holds at least
one powerful monetisation strategy you’re not
trying.

Therefore, your homework is as follows: choose

the one thing from this list that stood out to
you most, and go do it! Take action now and
get the ball rolling.

With that said, in my opinion, the one that

holds the most potential to become a scalable
business would be 360 Photo Virtual Tours.
This is because the cost of entry is really low,
and you can start attracting clients and getting
paid for your work within just a few days. It also
holds the highest value for new clients that
have never heard of 360, as the benefits are the
most obvious, and you can easily show them
some impressive samples that are similar to
their type of business, to sell them on the idea.
