Roads
I have traveled down the road of many vices,
I have traveled down the road of fractured dreams,
I have traveled down the roads of lovers leaving,
and I have traveled down those roads enough, it seems.
I have traveled down the highways of injustice,
and traveled on the highways of deceit,
I have traveled down the many roads of doubt,
and traversed too many roads of ' incomplete '.
I have driven on the turnpikes of destruction,
and I have rested on the sides of these at night,
I have traveled down the roads of wrong selection,
and I have known the fear that comes with needless
fright.
I have ventured down the highways of reflection,
and gazed upon the pathways of despair,
I have traveled down the road of self-deception,
and found, that in the end ...
nobody really cares!
In all my aimless travel,
I have found it to be true ...
that no matter what you think you know,
... there always is a different point of view!

He viajado por el camino de muchos vicios,

He viajado por el camino de sueños rotos,
He viajado por el camino de amantes que se separan,
Y he viajado por esos caminos lo suficiente, así parece.
He viajado por las autopistas de la injusticia,
Y he viajado sobre las autopistas del engaño,
He viajado y atravesado muchos caminos incompletos.
He conducido sobres peajes destruidos,
Y he descansado a los lados de estos en la noche,
He viajado por caminos equivocados,
Y he conocido el temor que viene con el miedo innecesario.
Me he aventurado en las autopistas de la reflexión,
Y he contemplado los pasajes de la desesperación,
He viajado por los caminos de la propia decepción,
Y encontré que al final...
¡A nadie le importa!
En todos mis viajes sin propósitos he encontrado que ha sido
cierto...
Que no importa lo que tu pienses o sepas,
¡Siempre habrá un punto de vista diferente!

(Significado)

El significado de este poema claramente indica los procesos de la

madurez que atraviesa una persona a lo largo de su vida. Todos
aquellos conflictos en los que pudo haber estado, todas las
decaídas, bajones, problemas y decepciones que pudo haber
sentido tanto consigo mismo, como con los demás. Estas cosas que
precisamente ayudan a una persona a salir adelante, a crecer y ser
más fuerte... es lo que refleja el poema, añadiendo que también se
trate de una persona la cual se siente más a gusto con la soledad,
experimentando nuevas aventuras, sin compañía de alguien más;
debido a que se dio cuenta de lo cruel que puede llegar a ser la
gente. A pesar de todo, incluso de su solitaria vida; aprendió a
respetar las opiniones externas, porque cada quién tiene una forma
muy diferente de pensar, y aceptar que tus pares tienen puntos de
vista muy antónimos a los tuyos, es parte de madurar.
