A Visual Introduction to the Modern Isosceles

While there are many pictures of Mod Iso variations scattered throughout the PSPs and elsewhere, I
figured this posting this to go along with the Weaver Stance pics just made sense.

The Mod Iso is based around a 4-count, 90-degree

drawstroke. Count 1 is establishing grip, Count 2 is the
end of the vertical lift and the beginning of the horizontal
line, Count 3 is when the gun first cuts into the
peripheral vision & a two handed grip is established and
Count 4 is full extension.

Count One:
Count Two is also the retention position. Some Mod
Iso shooters will have a retention position that falls
outside of drawstroke. That is a less efficient way to
accomplish the goal.

Count Three should be very high on the chest. I tend to

run the gun higher than most. Body type and personal
preference will dictate the exact location of Count Three,
but it should never be lower than Count Two.
Full Extension...Sights have been refined throughout the movement of the gun from Three to Four, trigger
was manipulated as the gun was in motion and all is right in the heavens as the gun reaches full
extension.
