The Grateful Dead: Hunter, Garcia, and

Grace-Marie Haddy 1961: The
Brotherhood Part 5A – Welcome to the
REAL Scientology
Note – this post is one of several on the subject of the Grateful Dead that are part of a raw
research collection of posts. The finished articles covering Scientology’s drug, CIA, and
money-laundering connections will be put in the appropriate section of the reading library.
Until then, we decided to leave this one accessible because there has been so much reader
interest (during the last six months especially) in Grace-Marie Haddy and her Scientology
connections.

You might also want to take a look at these posts that are also on the same
scientology-drugs-CIA subject.

Next up – The Grateful Dead.

This is The Brotherhood Series Part 5a. There will be several segments concerning
the Grateful Dead and their relevant time period.

This segment gives the beginnings of the histories of Robert Hunter (real name Burns), Jerry
Garcia, Brigid, Willy Legate, Grace-Marie Haddy (the “communicator” for Terry Milner –
Deputy Guardian for Intelligence of the Church of Scientology), Elaine Segal, Marty Rathbun
– in relation to Grace Haddy – and Alan Trist, son of Eric Trist, British and American senior
Tavistock Institute official. It also covers Lyndon LaRouche and his role in disinformation; a
real life example of what one runs into in research online; FBI VAULT documents concerning
Puharich, Foos and ESP remote-viewing, and Colonel Downie and ACSI; the Black
Intelligence Operation of Harry Smith’s “Anthology of American Folk Music” and…

revelations, for the first time –

of the names of the men involved in MKULTRA sub-project 94.

This is a big post, with lots of images, and it may take some time to load for you. Please be
patient, as I assure you – it will be worth it.

And now…

The Grateful Dead.

.
.

1950’s Hubbard –

Two of the early publishers of L. Ron Hubbard (sci-fi genre) were from Palo Alto and
generally known among the literary and musical folk of the community. They would pow wow
now and then – to exchange notes about who was writing what in the early 60s.

How the name Grateful Dead came about – Jerry Garcia was in bandmate Bob Weir’s
apartment on High Street, thumbing through a Funk & Wagnalls Dictionary, when he came
up with the Grateful Dead name.

1959 – Willy Legate – LSD

…Ira’s other occupation, which was running the Palo Alto peace Center, home to
one of the strangest and most interesting persons in the whole scene, Willy
Legate.

Garcia “We were like the back door of the Peace Center, the front door was Joan
Baez, Willy, and Ira [Sandperl] . We all learned how to think a certain kind of way
from Willy…things that come out of sequence-nonlinear, Zen, synchronistic
thinking…”

Willy Legate was tall and stooped, with an enormous head, a bulging forehead,
and thick glasses. Raised in Arkansas, he’d begun reading up on psychic
research, the Rosicrucians, the theosophist Annie Besant, and yoga in high
school, and while in college in 1959 he learned how to elicit vials of LSD from the
manufacturer, Sandoz Pharmaceutical

A Long Strange Trip: The Inside History of The Grateful Dead – Robert McNally

“These guys [MKULTRA docs perhaps?] seemed to be saying that such hallucinations were
the answer, the end- a religious thing. I considered the experience a mental act, not a
spiritual reality.”

-Willy Legate circa 1959

Garcia described Willy in a 1976 interview:

“Willy Legate is this guy who’s an old, old friend of me and Hunter’s and Phil’s
and our whole scene, and he’s a lot of things…sort of a Bible scholar, and he’s a
madman. We were exposed to him really a lot during a formative period of our
intellectual life; and he’s still around in our scene. He’s the guy who wrote,
‘There’s nothing like a Grateful Dead concert,’ and he wrote the little blurb inside
the Europe ’72 album… We also call on him to do various things [like condensing
deadhead feedback for the newsletter, and writing the Dead’s record-company
bio]. Willy is someone who has a lot of different kinds of gifts. He also even wrote
some lyrics to some of our early songs before we started recording, but we’ve
subsequently stopped doing those tunes. But he’s another creative head in our
scene that operates way back from the public.”

But he’s another creative head in our scene

that operates way back from the public.
.

I’ll bet he did – anyone wonder why?

1959 – At Stanford Research Institute – Ken Kesey MKULTRA

Kesey volunteered to take part in a CIA-financed study named Project MKULTRA at

the Menlo Park Veterans Hospital, where he worked as a night aide in the Psychiatric
Department. The CIA was experimenting on psych patients there as well.

1960 – Jerry comes out of the army and goes to Palo Alto – RED FLAG

Source: Palo Alto History website

In 1960, 18-year-old Jerry Garcia arrived in Palo Alto. The future Grateful Dead
leader had just been discharged from an unlikely Army stint where he had accrued
two courts-martial and eight AWOLs.

Unlikely indeed.

1961 – Tom Constanten is in Berkeley, hooks up with Phil Lesh, they share a room…

Tom Constanten was a Scientologist… In the summer of 1961, TC met Dead bassist Phil
Lesh at Berkeley, where each professed a love for classical music. The two became
roommates and enrolled in a graduate-level course taught by Berio at Mills College in
Oakland.

1961 – April – Robert Hunter hooks up with Jerry – Hunter is a scientologist

Robert Hunter’s real name was Robert Burns, born in San Luis Obispo, California.

Jerry Garcia met Robert Hunter, who was a Scientologist* and would become a
long-time lyrical collaborator with the Grateful Dead, in April 1961. Garcia and
Hunter began to participate in the local art and music scenes, sometimes playing
at Kepler’s Books. Garcia performed his first concert with Hunter, each earning
five dollars. Garcia and Hunter also played in a band called the Wildwood Boys
with David Nelson, a future contributor to some Grateful Dead albums. *ref:
Jackson, Blair (1999). Garcia: An American Life. Viking Adult. pp. 62, 179.

Hunter’s 1940 Chrysler came to rest next to Garcia’s cadillac, and for a time that
spring, they shared the same vacant lot in east Palo Alto.

Yet another military dude. Must be the draft – yeah. That’s it.

.
.

More on Robert Burns “Hunter” –

Hunter had fallen into the Dead’s general scene in 1961 when he’d met Garcia in
Palo Alto, and he’d played in several of Garcia’s early bluegrass bands. But he’d
always thought of himself as a writer. 1

Hunter was one of many people from the Palo Alto community interested in the
hot, new fad at the time (the other one was LSD) ~ known as Scientology. (Well,
not to mention music, naturally!) He has long since been known as the renown,
yet reclusive member of the Chateau cavalcade. My original encounter with Hunter
was related to our mutual friend’s personal notes on the evening he left this
dimension. In fact, Hunter was probably the last person he spoke with at the
Chateau before his fateful ride home. For decades, Jerry Garcia was held
responsible for the car accident since newspapers reported he drove the ‘death
car’. 2

Meanwhile, Bob Hunter, David Nelson and Willy Legate were among a large group
on the scene who became interested in the Church of Scientology, which in the
early 60’s was just beginning to catch on in Los Angeles and the Bay Area. L. Ron
Hubbard’s popular book Dianetics had come out in 1950….”

[description of Scientology]…held down by their own psychological baggage. Of

course, that’s just scratching the surface of what goes on in Scientology-there’s a
whole science fiction side involving human mental evolution to a sort of
super-being, in control over thousands of years of past lives, and much more. 3

Jerry Garcia and Hunter lived with Willy Legate for a time, after Hunter returned in July 1961
from the National Guard training camp, at the Peace Center.

1961 – Grace Marie Haddy –

Grace Marie Haddy was born June 26, 1936 and she died March 19, 2003 in Los Angeles
while still working for the dirty tricks department of the Church of Scientology. Grace has a
long history of conducting cloak-and-dagger work, going at least as far back as this time
period of 1961.

Let’s take a moment here, and examine a few points that are relevant to where this is all
going – with this Brotherhood series.

The dirty tricks department of the Church of Scientology is called the Office of Special
Affairs, or OSA for short. It’s predecessor, the Guardian’s Office, was disbanded in the early
1980’s, not long after an FBI raid on the church resulted in indictments and jail sentences of
some of the top officials in the Guardian’s office. They had been conducting espionage within
the United States, and ran numerous “black” operations against critics of Scientology and
“SP’s” – suppressive persons, as the Church called them. When the Guardian’s Office was
disbanded, quite a few of it’s existing personnel transferred into the Sea Organization, and
the newly created OSA – under Mark “Marty” Rathbun. Marty essentially took all of the
policies and directives that the Guardian’s Office operated under in their intelligence and
“social reform” activities, and simply re-issued them under the OSA format of issues. Per
Marty, he personally oversaw this activity. Mr. Rathbun then personally supervised Black
Operations and counter-intelligence activities for the next 30+ years. He would like it to be
believed that he is “out” of the Church, but that is, in essence, patently untrue.
This is Marty during his days of Black Opping people left and right, which is part of Keeping
Scientology Working. Apparently, in order to do that one must try and destroy anyone who
exposes it’s complete UN-WORKING status:
Marty is second from the left – he’s the guy that looks like a pouting, thugged-up version of
Bill Murray in Ghostbusters.

When the Church took a severe hit on it’s biggest income line, courtesy of your author today,
it never recovered. Marty is part of an operation that I call Operation Save Scientology –
which if you search our blog here (using the search box function), there are several articles
covering various points of this.

Marty personally was involved (and still is) in running Black Operations against myself, my
husband, my pets, my friends and family, for over 14 years now, starting with an arranged
car-accident in 1998 when I first begin to challenge the “six-month check” of OT 7’s.

Incidentally, that picture above of Marty, is from exactly the same year as this was done.
So, take a look at it again, with that in mind.

As we go along here, my friends will be kicking in more and more from their collected hard
evidence on this, and many other things, people, and places, that are way above Marty’s
pay grade in the grand scheme of things.

In the meantime, my husband and I will continue demonstrating just what can be done from
within the limitations and constraints of the internet, other sources and media, and even
despite “missing” information.

So, on that note, let’s continue with spy-woman Grace Marie Haddy.
.

There is scarce information on the surface of most internet searches of Grace, but that is
where we will start and other points of information will show up and be added as I dig deeper
into the “chaos” of information and re-structure puzzle pieces back into existence.

Researching some things is like trying to do the world’s worst puzzle sometimes – missing
pieces, shredded pieces, overlaid pieces – just about everything that could be done to
destroy an accurate picture has been done. The more nothing there is, (where there should
be numerous somethings) the more deadly it is to those that have something to hide. Pretty
much an easy rule of thumb – if I made such things, which I don’t.

The first thing I notice, is that Grace seems to have been “deleted” from most Church
records going way back to this time period of the early 60’s. Her name doesn’t show up on
most of the magazines and periodicals of Scientologists where it should have, although I
recently found one example from 1971.

Of course, Terry Milner, the Deputy Guardian for Intelligence for the entire United States, his
name also went missing for a rather important period of time, as well.
.

I’d say that happened in 1968 or so, and that’s also approximately when Grace became
Terry Milner’s right-hand woman, called a “personal communicator” in Scientology
parlance.

You don’t really hear anything much about Grace, records-wise until over 25 years later.

.
Where we do have some available interesting tidbits about super-busty Grace (apparently
she was hugely over-endowed and wanted a breast-reduction surgery) is in this early 60’s
time period, so that’s where we’ll start.

Apparently Grace had quite a record collection, one item of which was Harry Smith’s
Anthology of American Folk Music, which was a collection of dozens of folk tunes recorded
between the 20s and the 50s that were originally released as 78s. Among The Dead
afficianados, (called Dead-heads) this represents a bit of a ‘holy grail’ of music to have.

Robert (Burns) Hunter (Scientologist) and Jerry Garcia used to break into Grace’s apartment
when she was at work just to listen to this particular music collection.

Garcia’s lyricist and longtime friend Robert Hunter tells the story.

“Back in 1961 there was only one copy around our scene, belonging to Grace
Marie Haddie. The six-disc boxed collection was too expensive for guitar-playing
hobos like me and Garcia, even if we had a record player, or a place to keep a
record player. Grace Marie had a job and an apartment and a record player. We
would visit her apartment constantly with hungry ears. When she was at work,
we’d jimmy the lock to her apartment door or crawl through the window if the
latch was open. Had to hear those records.”3

This story about Grace and her records is even said to say (best represent) “Jerry Garcia” to
a lot of people.

Reading Blair Jackson’s biography Garcia: An American Life, two stories to me

say Jerry Garcia more than any others. First, there’s the story of a record set
called the Anthology of American Folk Music, which collected dozens of folk
tunes recorded between the 20s and the 50s that were originally released as 78s.

And here’s another example:

… As I listen to the CDs, I experience vivid recollections of those listening

sessions in 1961. I can see Grace Marie’s cluttered apartment, sense the season
and the whole flavor of the time in sudden windows of memory. The joy and
excitement of discovery. Reminds me of the astonishment H. Rider Haggard’s
adventurer experienced uncovering the treasures of King Solomon’s Mine.

Tonight on “Down Home” I’ll be featuring songs from the Anthology, plus a few
recent covers of those songs that I dug up at the last minute and at great expense.

Blog post Chuck Taggart Thursday, July 18 – 2002

“…the treasures of King Solomon’s Mine.” is quite a spectacular metaphor to describe

this music collection. Quite makes you want to listen to it, doesn’t it.

Although, I’m personally somewhat hesitant about such a glowing review from people that
think the Dead made good music. Try as I might – every time I listen to any song I find of
there’s I just sit there perplexed as it’s that bad. I came to the conclusion that the only way
you’d call the samples of The Dead music, that I listened to, “great music” – is if you were
completely stoned out of your mind. In which case, I’d imagine crickets would be rated by
such a person as being “as good as” the New York Philharmonic!

So, I decided to go check this out for myself, with my usual aplomb that I could find it online
somewhere.

I found what I was looking for, and it’s a great online source if you would like to listen to
some of these “treasures” for yourself. I listened to each one listed there, and I’d have to say
that most of them are pretty bad representations as to authenticity of the origins of these
particular styles of music. However, there were a few that I felt at least captured somewhat,
America’s early music more properly.

The tracks I liked because they were right, that way, were:

Sail Away Lady

Brilliancy Medley

Saut Crapaud – excellent Cajun representation, title means “jump, frog”

Newport Blues – this one is hilarious

Bob Lee Junior Blues – another fun one

Another author, Robert McNally, talks about the man who put this music collection together,
and refers to him as a “homosexual dope fiend, whose body was stunted and humped.” –
although I can’t say I see such blatant physical abnormalities in this picture of him that I
found.

…Garcia and Hunter [1961] turned to a fundamental source, Harry Smith’s magical
and peculiar Anthology of American Folk Music, on Folkways Records. Early in
the 1950s, Smith had tapped into American popular culture from the twenties and
thirties to assemble the anthology, selecting songs….he put 84 tunes on six
long-playing dics, then wrapped them in alchemical quotations and
decoration…Smith, a homosexual dope fiend whose body was stunted and
humped, Smith was the ultimate outsider, the ideal person to introduce a new
generation to something truly authentic. 4

Smith wrote in “notes” for the songs, which carried cryptic descriptions and a headline
format.
.

The anthology was released in 1952 on Folkways Records as three two-LP sets, and was
culled from Smith’s personal collection of 78’s of music from the 1920’s up until the time of
the Depression.

It was re-issued in 1961 I believe, just in time for the first set of WWII kids coming of age,
with a cover change.

The Harry Smith Anthology, as some call it, was considered the bible of folk music during
the late 1950s and early 1960s Greenwich Village folk scene, of which Timothy Leary was
heavily involved in. As stated in the liner notes to the 1997 reissue, the late musician Dave
van Ronk had earlier commented that “we all knew every word of every song on it, including
the ones we hated.”

Harry designed each cover with a Thomas De Bry type overlay image of a monochord
(one-string) mystical instrument taken from the works of Robert Fludd. Fludd, an
englishman, was also known as Robertus de Fluctibus and is most remembered as an
astrologer, mathematician, cosmologist, Qabalist, (the Kabbala) and defender of Rosicrucian
principles in debates.

Well, that wasn’t too obvious what Harry was wanting to communicate to America’s next
generation, now was it.

Brothers of light it is…again.

.

On the flipside, no wonder! a lot of Harry’s choices were, in my opinion, literally insulting
examples of American traditions of music, and ergo indirectly insulting to “common”
Americans themselves. Some of the songs literally made my ears cringe because I knew
how bad they were compared to the real thing.

The positioning of this anthology as being a valid “insight” into America grows more obvious
in quotes like that of Greil Marcus.

In 1997’s Invisible Republic, Greil Marcus coined the phrase “the old, weird America” to
designate the “territory that opens up out of ” (Marcus 1997, 89) Harry Smith’s six-LP
Anthology of American Folk Music, which he elsewhere describes as:

“Bob Dylan’s first true map of a republic that was still a hunch to
him”

TRUE map???

Do you want to know what that so-called TRUE map was supposed to teach us?

The New York Book Review – Giles Davis:

Dylan was born in 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota, the eldest son of comfortably-off
second-generation Russian-Jewish immigrants. Like many restless and
disaffected members of his generation, he first began rummaging through the
country’s immense trove of traditional folk songs in the late 1950s…These folk
songs…as Dylan writes in his endearingly blunt and disheveled memoir,
Chronicles (2004), were about

debauched bootleggers, mothers that drowned their own children, Cadillacs that
only got five miles to the gallon, floods, union hall fires, darkness and cadavers at
the bottom of rivers…. They weren’t friendly or ripe with mellowness. They didn’t
come gently to the shore…. They were my preceptor and guide into some altered
consciousness of reality, some different republic, some liberated republic.

Bob Dylan, according to Sean Wilentz’s passionate and informative (if at times
lurchingly uneven) new book, “has dug inside America as deeply as any artist
ever has.” This is well put, for it suggests the way in which Dylan’s songs (there
are now more than five hundred of them) seem to unearth a strange, alternate,
subterranean America, an antic shadow country of dirt roads and frontier towns,
abandoned mines and teeming plantations, a land inhabited by outlaws,
vagabonds, crapshooters, confidence men, vigilantes, and religious fanatics, to
name only its most conspicuous citizens.

SEEM is right.

Do you understand how utterly WRONG this is as a true picture of America – as a whole?

Not to mention the horrible vituperous* vicious intent to bring the American people to it’s
knees through a CENTURY of wars, artificial scarcities and depressions, death, drugs and
“mental Health”.

* vituperous – worthy of blame.

ALL THIS DEATH AND DESTRUCTION and why?

Because we the people stood up to those sadistically insane motherfuckers – the British.
Not just once, but twice, and then their money controls were annihilated, which I think for the
TRUE insult to their pride. That last one was instigated by President Andrew Jackson, whom
WE, the real Americans, had caused to be put into office as President.

THAT is why.

This so-called “wonderful“ revolution of the 60’s was anything but. It was a sick, sadistic, and
puerile attempt to “get even” by destroying even the PAST of America. Wiping it, they hoped,
clean out of the “DNA” of America, and replacing it with them.

That there were outlaws, vagabonds, crapshooters, confidence men, vigilantes, and
religious fanatics – was a fact. But, at whose instigation exactly?

Oh, that’s right. These SAME insane motherfuckers.

THEY invented “religions”, they DIRECTLY caused some people to labeled as “outlaws” and
“vigilantes” that were not doing what was wrong, and they most certainly MADE vagabonds
by leaving so many homeless, and even without family due to their WARS and intentional
destruction of the economy.

I hardly have words to describe the hypocrisy of picking the 1920’s and 1930’s as in ANY
way representative of America – this period of time being AFTER they had killed millions of
people in a completely useless and warrantless war that caused untold emotional pain to the
millions who were now left destitute and alone. And all this DEATH was “purging dead brain
cells” and was a good thing, as we were told by men such as Bernard Baruch. And as if that
wasn’t enough – then these psychos deliberately killed the economy causing the very
Depression. And THEN along comes Harry taking this period of America in pain, hungry, and
broken and calls it representative?

Are you fucking kidding me?

Not only that, but deliberately picking the worst possible representations of music and calling
that “the TRUE republic of America’ – is despicable.
These types of utterly insulting, arrogant, and completely undeserved holier-than-thou
attitudes towards America and Americans, to me is literally a calling card of the British
self-styled Lords of Earth, towards their “colonial slaves”.

You may not know this, but the British exiled people here to America that they didn’t want,
much like what they did with Australia.

You have to appreciate the absolutely perfect way to cut their ego off at the knees, that it
was for these written-off “rejects” to rise up and beat the pants off these so-called “Lords” –
with pea-shooters and sticks at times if need be!

Now that had to HURT – and it did.

I think of this vindictive blood-vendetta as literally being passed along from generation to
generation amongst certain families – nursing their still hurting pride like little boys who talk a
lot of talk but in the end – their ass ended up flat on their back and they run home to mommy
sniveling like the cowardly excuses that they are.

This was their REVENGE against the American people – trying to drive them into hating their
own government, their own past, their own people.

A civil war of the mind, you could call it.

Falsely divided, and at war against itself.

I feel so strongly about this that I think anyone who reads this article and still wants to call
that time period of the 1960’s as “great” is either one of these motherfuckers, or might as
well be – by their insistence of blindness and ignorance while wearing rose-colored glasses.

Thank goodness, there are still (and will always be) far more of US than there are of “them”.
Some of us silent, some of us not so silent, but all in complete agreement that this is wrong –
there should be MORE.

Sooner or later – the tipping point will come. And it will come without the need for War,
without the need forweapons of mass destruction, without the need to destroy entire cities
and half the planet in the process, it will come without it being necessary to torture, or really,
without the need to use any insane method that these people dreamed up to try and control
the rest of humanity. Things will literally change overnight, and that will be the end of The
Reign of Terror and Madness.

Furthermore, as if the previous characterizations of Americans weren’t insulting enough,

there is also this:

The anthology itself, as Marcus quotes Bruce Connor, “was like field recordings,
from the Amazon, or Africa, but it’s here, in the United States!”

The Amazon and Africa? Positioning Early Americans as primitive natives?

With all that in mind, let’s look at Harry Smith and his intent a bit closer.

When he compiled the first three volumes of his Anthology Of American Folk Music back in
1952 he set out to cast a spell over America.

“I felt social changes would result from it,” he explained. “I’d been reading Plato’s
Republic. He’s jabbering on about music, how you have to be careful about changing the
music because it might upset or destroy the government.”

His Rosicrucian studies showed in this positioning:

“Smith had always intended a fourth volume: the Earth element was needed to
stabilise the other three…”

He had alchemically colour-coded the original three in green, red and blue to represent the
elements of Water, Fire and Air.

The Wire, a British magazine:

Revenant, the new home to the wild esoterica of ‘American Primitive’, have
stepped in and finally released Smith’s compilation complete with copious liner
notes by the likes of Beat poet and Fug Ed Sanders, John Fahey and, inevitably,
Greil Marcus.
Sanders’s notes are a particular joy as he relates tales of Smith claiming Aleister
Crowley as his father, tossing rare books into urinals and rolling in the gutter
pretending to have an alcoholic fit in the hope of bumming a free drink …”

In the 1997 reissue onto cd, there was a note by Harry, (from his reception of a Grammy in
1991) and this…truly says it all:

“I’m glad to say that my dreams came true. I saw America changed through
music.”

All in all, it certainly seems like ole Grace Marie was right on the cutting edge of steering
America’s youth in a certain direction – in this case the band that would become literally the
“house band” for the CIA MKULTRA lsd. Rhetorical question: I wonder why she would help
with that, and who was really orchestrating that.

Another description of Grace Marie Haddy came from a woman nicknamed Brigid, who per
Jerry Garcia, was the “love of his life”, but apparently that didn’t mean much to him as he
wouldn’t even quit drugs in order to be with her.

[My notes in brackets]

…there would be a woman who, though quite young, would be a peer. Barbara
“Brigid” Meier was an extraordinarily beautiful fifteen-year-old high school
student when she met Garcia in March [1962]….Brigid had read Kerouac the year
before, and this daughter of left-wing bohemians whose lives closely resembled
Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s was totally ready for the Garcia-Hunter-Trist scene.
It did not represent “coupling” as she later put it, but mayhem “Where’s the scene
tonight?”.
She describes Grace Marie Haddy:

“…met one of Garcia’s other friends, an older woman named Grace Marie Haddy
[Grace was 29 at the time] who seemed like someone from a Doris Lessing novel.
Grace Marie lived alone and was, Brigid recalled, “arch, erudite, practiced free
love, smoked pot, drank wine, and had something to say about everything.” 4

Lessing’s trademark themes were how love, obsession, self-knowledge, and fate unify her
characters’ lives – so I’m not sure that’s exactly a compliment Brigid gave Grace Marie
Haddy.

Brigid’s mother worked for Stanford Research Institute:

Chapter Two: Recall the Days That Still Are to Come

Page 34, top; more on Barbara Meier’s parents:

They had moved to Menlo Park from Oregon in 1950 when her father was accepted
into the prestigious Stanford Writing Program, “and the whole time I was growing
up my father was working on a novel,” she says. That was never published, but
another book he wrote was: Friend From Harlem, about a black jazz musician
friend. Barbara’s mother was a high-powered executive who worked for the
Stanford Research Institute and translated Russian documents for the Rand
Corporation, an ultra-right-wing think tank that was diametrically opposed to her
own political views.

Brigid is still a very beautiful lady, and she (as of 2009) sells real estate in New Mexico for
Coldwell Banker.

1961, the time period that Grace, Willy Legate, and future Dead members Hunter and Garcia
were all coming together – is the exact same year that her future spymaster got into
Scientology.

Terry Milner.
.

Terry Milner Plain text:

In 1961, when I first contacted Scientology I was afraid of my fellow man. At times
experiencing very deep depression, at other times riding out of it on a wild
dispersed mania. I was living in extreme poverty, was a hypochondriac, had twice
attempted suicide and wandered across the United States four times in search of
some nameless thing which I never found and indeed existed only in my
dispersed universe. This was part of the culminated aberration that came through
the door of the Scientology Organization in Los Angeles in the summer of 1961…

In Church of Scientology magazine – Auditor #24 1967 – Terry is listed as a class 7

auditor, he then leaves Saint Hill in England and goes back to LA , where he will be posted
as DGI US.

Mike McClaughry – July 28, 2012:

Grace Marie Haddy was Terry Milner’s communicator. She adored Terry, and loved
being his communicator.

The next record that shows about Grace, is in 1970, exactly the time period that she is
working for Terry in the Guardian’s Office, and he is running a private detective agency on
the side, as well as being involved with drug smuggling “projects” with Jerry McDonald and
Doug Rambo.

1970 – Grace Marie Haddy

She is listed in Humbead’s Revised Map of the World, 3rd Edition List of Population
published in 1970.

1971 – Grace Marie Haddy

I did just recently find a record of her, along with several other Guardian’s Office personnel,
in The Auditor #60 of 1971. She is on the HSDC course with Joe Lisa, Mitchell Hermann,
and several other GO persons.

The next record that shows up for Grace, is December 16th, 1989. She is mentioned in a
Non-Existence formula (church ethics conditions) by Elaine Siegel (I think Segal might be
the correct spelling), who is the Snow White Programs Chief for the Guardian’s office
replacement – OSA.
.

This is important, because it shows that the Operation Snow White program, which had
been originated in the Guardian’s office in 1973, was carried over into the “new” intelligence
organization under Marty Rathbun and David Miscavige.

Some original Operation Snow White persons:

ELAINE SIEGEL, SHOW WHITE PGMS CHF OSA US

Hi. I think most of you know me, Elaine Siegel, Snow White Programs Chf OSA US.

There have been some recent changes in the Snow White Unit at OSA US,and I
wanted to get out of Non-Existence in a new unit of time, and brief you on my
functions (which have changed a bit), and some changes in the Unit itself.

The Snow White Program is a Program written by LRH in 1973, which has as its
Ideal Scene “All false and secret files of the nations of operating areas brought to
view and legally expunged and OTC, “Apollo” and LRH free to frequent all
Western ports and nations without threat and all required ports open and free.”

So the overall purpose currently for the Snow White unit is to get the false reports
on the Church and LRH in government files brought to view by using the Freedom
of Information Act (a federal US law which allows citizens access to government
files), and get them expunged from the files, to create a safe environment for
Scientology to expand into.

Part of this overall campaign is handling Interpol, the International Criminal Police
Organization, which is a conveyor belt of false reports on the Church and LRH
around the world. Interpol is a private international organization, under the
jurisdiction of no government body, which maintains dossiers on millions of
citizens around the world. It is based in Lyon, France currently.

Grace Marie Haddy is over the Snow White Planning Branch which does analyses,
locates false reports, and gets the false report correction packs compiled, which
clearly show that the government documents have false reports in them.

Grace Marie is currently overseeing the FOIA requests area right now, until the
unit is more fully manned up, so any FOIA matters can now go directly to her.

The next record related to the Church of Scientology that shows up, is from 1993.
.

The last record is a listing of OSA staff members and their positions in 1994, which shows
Grace as still doing Snow White work, FOIA International In Charge (T/FOIA I/C).

Grace Marie Haddy OSA INT T/FOIA I/C

That website also lists:

Mr. Linda Hamel OSA INT

Linda Hamel is mentioned in a blog comment by Mike Rinder, who was head of OSA (but
lower on the totem pole than Marty Rathbun). But you do not see him (or Marty) ever, to my
knowledge, really discuss Grace-Marie Haddy, which is damn odd, if you ask me. Mike
Rinder comments that she (Linda Hamel) became the later Snow White Programs Op. That
would make sense, and must have been presumably after 2003 when Grace Marie Haddy
died.

And in this screenshot, at another post on the same blog, another person brings it up:
.

The interesting thing is that Grace Marie Haddy is first in with the head of dirty tricks in the
Guardian’s Office, and then segues right on over into the new OSA.

An interesting website has a “Life and Times of Marty Rathbun” history detailing some of his
many Black Operations on people, including setting them up with false crimes. You should
have a look, at first glance it looks to be well-documented. It carries the name Linda Hamel
but in one case misspells it Hamil. This particular point, is very relevant:

1989 – At this time, Rathbun first appears on the Snow White International Dissem
List, headed up by OSA official Elaine Siegal.

Note: another different spelling of Elaine’s last name.

That puts him in the exact same office, the exact same year, under the exact same senior,
as Grace Marie Haddy who most definitely an accessory to many nasty crimes with her
former Guardian’s Office senior Terry Milner – if not an outright accomplice.

Watch this man Marty, try to spin this all around – ultimately off of him and his crimes.

In a court declaration of 17 February 2004 Miscavige swore: “When further

investigation proved the documents to be authentic, it was made clear that we had
no choice but to overthrow the GO and dismiss everyone who had violated
Church policy or the law. These activities ultimately led to a complete disband of
the GO.”
Miscavige’s last three remaining closest advisers in the bunker are former
Guardian’s Office criminals.

See? What did I tell you. THEY are criminals, Marty and his cronies were not.

I take offense at the continued attempts to whitewash L. Ron Hubbard and the Guardian’s
Office by OVERLY painting Miscavige black and deliberately giving false impressions that
things were “better” before Miscavige.

They were not “better’ – they were DIFFERENT.

For one thing, The Guardian’s Office intelligence operations were not known for the
Keystone Cops meets Barnum and Bailey mentality that became so prevalent under Mr.
Marty Rathbun heading intelligence activities of the Church. Although, you could say that he
was more true to L. Ron Hubbard, the lying buffoon.

.
OSA Intelligence activities – Days of our Lives Soap Opera level

Guardian’s Office Intelligence Activities – Cloak and Dagger old movies level

Well, that should give you the basics on Grace Marie Haddy and the company she was
keeping, I’ll be getting into what other activities she was involved in back here in the 60’s
and 70’s, in a later segment of this series.

TRIST

Remember this excerpt?

…there would be a woman who, though quite young, would be a peer. Barbara
“Brigid” Meier was an extraordinarily beautiful fifteen-year-old high school
student when she met Garcia in March [1962]….Brigid had read Kerouac the year
before, and this daughter of left-wing bohemians whose lives closely resembled
Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s was totally ready for the Garcia-Hunter-Trist scene.
It did not represent “coupling” as she later put it, but mayhem “Where’s the scene
tonight?”. 4

Who, you might ask, is this Trist person?

Well, that’s Alan Trist, son of Eric Trist.

This is Eric Trist –

Alan Trist was there in the beginning with the Dead, and Grace Marie Haddy.

How do I know Alan is Eric’s son? From Eric’s autobiography.

“…While I was at Mill Hill, people from the Tavistock Clinic, who had gone into the
army, visited the hospital, saw what I was doing, were impressed and asked me to
join them. I was in a reserved occupation and couldn’t be released. Sir Aubrey
Lewis wouldn’t let me go. But no one could prevent my volunteering to join the
armed services. So I volunteered and joined the Tavistock group in the army. At
the Maudsley people were furious because they didn’t at all approve of the Tavvy.
To them I had committed treason, I was a deserter. But they could do nothing. I
moved into the military because there was very much more scope there than at
Mill Hill and I wanted to be with the Tavistock people. I had got stale at Mill Hill. I
recommended Hans J. Eysenck as my successor and he performed incredibly
well.

My wife and I went to Edinburgh where I was the psychologist for the experimental
work on War Office Selection Boards (WOSBs). I then became Senior Psychologist
for the whole development of WOSBs. I was a Captain, but within eighteen months
I was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.

In the WOSB experiment I worked with Majors Jock Sutherland and Wilfred Bion.
The scheme was first suggested by the late Ferguson Rodger, a psychiatrist. He
had the idea of a group of selectors working with a group of candidates. But the
form of the Boards was developed by Sutherland, Bion and myself. A very good
account of this is in Hugh MurrayÕs article in Volume I of the history of our work –
The Social Engagement of Social Science (SESS). My first job was to devise a
psychological test program with intelligence tests, projective tests like the
Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) and a life history questionnaire. At that time I
had the only copy of Henry A. Murray’s TAT in Britain and I kept it longer than I
should out of the Cambridge library.

This was 1942 and my son, Alan, was born in Edinburgh. We were then transferred
to Pierpoint Morgan’s country house near London, and the family came back to
London. We worked on WOSBs for three months before they became operational
– see the Introduction to The Social Engagement of Social Science (SESS).

During the last two years of the war, I was the Chief Psychologist to the Civil
Resettlement Units (CRUs), for repatriated prisoners of war. The CRUs were the
second therapeutic community. The first, at Northfield Military Hospital, was
based on a proposal by Wilfred Bion in a memorandum in 1940 – the Wharcliffe
Memorandum – which was never fully carried out.

JP Morgan’s country house…no less. Small world. (choke)

In 1961, Alan was on a year holiday and was going to be attending Cambridge University
later on in the fall. Of all the places in the world to bring his son, Eric brought him to Palo
Alto, just in time for Willis Harmon’s LSD (MKULTRA) student experimentations to be
gearing up to get off the ground
So, there’s a happy coincidence, Eric Trist, a senior official of Tavistock, was in residence
at Stanford essentially that whole year of 1961.

Can you say CASE OFFICER? And he used his own son to boot!!!

My personal favorite, is the following quote from the book A long Strange Trip (ref #4)
saying Eric Trist was “on sabbatical”.

Wow, what a euphemism for what he was really doing there.

Stanford’s Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences…?

What the hell is that – I asked myself.

So, off to Google we go, to check the obvious connection time-wise to both the Grateful
Dead, and Willis Harmon/Ken Kesey and MKULTRA LSD experimentation.

The first search I did was simple, which is what I usually do when I just want to get the “lay of
the land” data profferings wise. The search I did was: stanford “center for advanced studies
in the behavioral sciences” tavistock

Good lord!

It’s an avalanche of results from the Wiley Coyotes of the internet!!!

If you’re not careful, those Wiley Coyote sites try to lead you straight off a cliff
research-wise. Luckily, some of us are kind of road-runners that way. We stop just short of
that “ultimate jump” of buying it as true, and as a result? Ole Wiley falls off the cliff his own
self.

I did this all the time when I was a “scientologist” – when someone was busy trying to
“convert” me into some weird Aldous Huxley Brave New World version of myself – I followed
along and stopped just short, at the last second and whaddya know? The person went
right on over the cliff of their own bullshit and never even noticed I wasn’t following, until
it was way, way too late.
It is a lot of fun messing with the Wiley’s of the world sometimes though – ain’t that the
truth.

First rule of dealing with me? Don’t try to take your delusions and project them as who I am,
and expect me to fall for it just because you did. This is next to impossible for most
Enslavers to not do, by the way. Which, of course, is why they’re always falling off their own
cliffs.

One thing that’s pretty fun, if you don’t tend to driving off of cliffs of reason easily, is actually
following one of these Internet Wiley Coyotes on one of their little journeys, just to see what
kind of Wiley’s Acme plan-in-a-box they are trying to sell people.

One such Wiley Coyote result, led off way into the hinterlands – like you see sometimes in
the roadrunner cartoons. The information road was winding this way and that, with various
traps and deadfalls along the way for the unwary, and finally leading ultimately to a particular
cliff or “big trap”.

I suppose at this point, it’s going to be necessary anyway to get into more history of what
Eric Trist was in all probability, really doing at Stanford in 1961, in order to better understand
the role of the Grateful Dead in the planned “counter-culture” rape of American identity.

Unfortunately, “history” is fraught with mispresentations, diversions, and outright lying – all in
an attempt to hide the true nature of WHO is behind this destruction of American identity,
and why this is considered a “holy and enlightened” mission.

I have decided to highlight a specific example of the above that occurred in my researches of
the Grateful Dead. I will show you in real life, how information manipulation is done, how it
showed up, where, and why. It was leading off one of the Wiley Coyote results I was just
talking about.

Putting aside the more obvious tactics of Wiley Coyote conspiracy theory websites, books,
movies and other assorted propaganda mediums, I’d have to say that one of the worst dirty
tricks that I have seen, would have to be the very few sources that give you close to the real
information. One of those sources that I have repeatedly run into whenever I get onto what
I call “the real trail” of what’s what – is the IHR (the Institute for Historical Review) and
Lyndon LaRouche.
He, and the very few other sources like him, are what I call the last bastion against any truly
serious researcher who is on their ass historically.

The dirty trick is, that La Rouche loads up a serious amount of truth in his writings. For
example, his writings will correctly peg various British men and women, and their role in this
“dominate the world” agenda. This truth-loading, as I call it, is meant to seriously mind-fuck
any erstwhile researcher, and (they hope) cause the outright lies and actual agenda (that is
always there as well) to “go down easier”.

A cliff, if you will – to follow them over.

Besides trained counter-intelligence agent Joe Harrington’s many examples of this

technique, (Joe was a government man I had the dubious honor of having personally target
me for public discrediting back in 2000), I’d have to say that compared to the writings of
Larouche – however thinly veiled under the name of a Larouche acolyte author – Joe was a
babe-in-the-woods by comparison.

For those of you who feel yourselves up to the task, I have found this book in the Internet
Archive. I consider it one of the landmark books of the LaRouche administration of the
“controlled opposition” tactic.

CONTROLLED OPPOSITION TACTIC

“But that’s the way spooks play their games. If there’s going to be a social
movement against whatever you’re doing, it’s best if you secretly create and
orchestrate that movement against yourself right away so that it never does any
unintended damage to your personal fortunes.” – Steven Hager

No Government can be long secure without a formidable Opposition. It reduces

their supporters to that tractable number which can be managed by the joint
influences of fruition and hope. It offers vengeance to the discontented, and
distinction to the ambitious; and employs the energies of aspiring spirits, who
otherwise may prove traitors in a division or assassins in a debate.

– Book II of Coningsby, or The New Generation, by Benjamin Disraeli, 1844

Quotes

The whole book is also available at Project Gutenberg.

This book of the La Rouche clan, is called The New Dark Ages Conspiracy – the very title
choice starts right at you with a very accurate metaphor for what the Brits (and others) had
planned. In PR vernacular – that’s called a hook.

So, like Doc Holliday responding to baiting by one of the bad guys in Tombstone, I feel like
saying –
.

If you would like to hone your actuality (which is what truth really is, however complex or
simple), detection skills, read that book. Practice noting your instant recognition of
actualities (full truth), partial truths, and so on. See if you can detect all the points where
elements of the exact same agenda this book pretends to expose are slid in amongst
the garden of truths – ever so smoothly.

Finally, watch what happens in the final chapter.

For me, that last chapter was all I needed to identify just what this was all really about.

Why?

I’ll give you a hint. The absolute hysterical hatred still directed at President’s Jackson and
Jefferson is literally a dead giveaway. These men literally cannot talk about Jackson without
insulting him one way or another. But this book, THIS book went into an absolute tirade
about how these two men had stopped the wonderful plan for America that of
course…LaRouche was now trying to sell a new generation of Americans on!

I laughed my ass off, when I saw that, because man, that is one hell of a cliff of reason
Larouche just tried to sell people to jump off.
And what was this cliff of wonderfulness we were supposed to leap off of? What was this
fabulously great plan based on? Oh yea. It was Plato and his hierarchy of souls,
(peasants have BRONZE souls) and how “they” (the enlightened such as Franklin and
Hamilton) planned to elevate all Americans to their level of “gold souls”!!!!

Their level?

Hamilton was the man who installed the British/Netherlands control of America’s
finances through the First Bank of The United States!

Oh yeah, now there’s a man to emulate.

.

It is so funny to me how certain people – such as Jackson, often serve quite well as a
divining rod of who’s who, by what they do on that subject.

So.

The reason that I went to look up this book, is because I knew that the Grateful Dead (as
were it’s Scientology adherents) was mixed up with an Intelligence Operation aimed against
America’s youth. As I said previously, I had just come across that Eric Trist had brought his
son to Palo Alto while he was sojourning at this Stanford center that I was unfamiliar with. As
I was searching that down, I came across a rather interesting statement concerning an
alleged FBI memo and I started running it down. It’s like this – if you don’t fall for the various
“stop-points” along the way and you keep wracking around various methods of searching out
data on the internet, that’s when you run into this kind of stuff like La Rouche.

By the way, that just about only happens when I am directly and specifically on an actuality
line of information – his stuff suddenly “appears” when you start getting onto certain lines of
specifics. Quite a narrow field, actually.

When tracing down this FBI memo thing, the first thing I ran into was a more recent book,
that when what it alleged was “pulled-back” a few layers – there was LaRouche.

But I’m getting a little ahead of myself. So, there I was researching the
Trist/Tavistock/Grateful Dead LSD angle, and this came up:

A 2006 blog post:

Many young people became “dead heads” after Jerry Garcia’s “Grateful Dead”.
Keith writes:
“An FBI internal memo from 1968 mentions the employment of the Grateful Dead
as an avenue ‘to channel youth dissent and rebellion into more benign and
non-threatening directions.’ (They) performed a vital service in distracting many
young persons into drugs and mysticism, rather than politics.” (p.179)

If you then google search that quote, you get a lot of results of odd sites and some of them
point out that the above is from a book called Mind Control, World Control by Jim Keith.

So, I look up the quote and it lists a ref #8.

8. White, Carol, The New Dark Ages Conspiracy. (New York: New York Benjamin
Franklin House, 1984); Hidell, Al, “Paranotes,” Paranoia magazine.

which does not look like it’s a La Rouche thing on it’s surface, does it. It is. But, I decide to
finish wracking google around a bit more first before I track down these references.

I also checked the quote again on google, and it pulls up this:

March 2012 – San Francisco Weekly mag – comments section:

The connection between Jerry Garcia and the FBI was mentioned by Jim Keith in
his book about the Tavistock Institute “Mind Control World Control” (1997). The
footnotes need citation. You can read this excerpt directly from the book for
yourself if you do a Google search.

“According to a 1968 FBI memorandum, Jerry Garcia, the leader of the Grateful
Dead, was employed ‘to channel youth dissent and rebellion into more benign and
non-threatening directions.'” (8) (p. 97)

And again this connection was mentioned in almost exactly the same words later
in the same book: “The first member of the Grateful Dead to take LSD, Robert
Hunter, did so under the auspices of a “government sponsored” Stanford
University drug study. An FBI internal memo from 1968 also mentions the
employment of Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead as an avenue “to channel youth
dissent and rebellion into more benign and non-threatening directions.” It is
obvious with their “laid-back”, non-politically involved stance, the Grateful Dead
have performed a vital service in distracting many young persons into drugs and
mysticism, rather than politics. Whether they knew they were performing the
service is a matter of argument.” (11) (p. 179)

Ref 11 in the book, is a book that some allege is really by Bowart under a pseudeonym of
Lincoln Lawrence, titled Were We Controlled, 1967.

A check of this book shows no results for “grateful dead”.

So, that’s not the source. Now I come back to check the other refs.
8. White, Carol, The New Dark Ages Conspiracy. (New York: New York Benjamin
Franklin House, 1984); Hidell, Al, “Paranotes,” Paranoia magazine.

And that’s where we land straight in La Rouche territory. As I said before, you can read it
yourself in the Internet Archive.

The bottom line is that this quote, as such, does not exist in the La Rouche “Carol White”
book, nor do I find it in the Paranoia magazine.

So, this alarming, and fraught with specifics statement is a hoax, from what I can tell.

However, what DOES exist in the 1984 LaRouche book is this:

The Grateful Dead And Acid

In the 1960s, an unidentified FBI agent wrote that “LSD originates from San
Francisco through The Grateful Dead.” Despite this allegation, the FBI apparently
had very little knowledge of the future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees — the
1971 declassified memo accusing them of trafficking appends the band’s name
with “It would appear that this is a rock group of some sort” — another Fed
agreed to label the rock band as “dangerous” and on par “with organized crime.”

Kesey was joined by Richard Alpert and Jerry Garcia. Out of this setting came the
Merry Pranksters and the Grateful Dead. Kesey’s Pranksters were famous for
administering the “Electric Kool Aid Acid Test” to large groups of adolescents
attending rock concerts given by the Grateful Dead, or otherwise in touch with the
Pranksters, as the group toured the United States.

(The Grateful Dead still operate in an intelligence capacity. In 1976, they were
dispatched to perform in Egypt upon the request of Dumas Malone, an expert of
the National War College.) 62

62. Interview with source at the National War College.

Somehow, that got all spun around by Jim Keith in 1998, into something completely different.
The publishing company name alone gives a rather tongue-in-cheek clue as to the
BULLSHIT level of his book.

Publisher: Adventures Unlimited PR (February 1998)

And, if one really pulls down this “idea” of that there is an official document saying what
our quote alleges is the purpose or use of the Grateful Dead, which was:

“to channel youth dissent and rebellion into more benign and non-threatening
directions.”
You end up at this La Rouche book, which is just LOADED with several of the right lines of
research to follow, (and several actual documented examples, but not all of course). I think
that once the researcher lands here it is supposed to permanently diverge the researcher
off into La Rouche land, or to inspire them to give up entirely.

Be all that as it may, when one searches this Dark Ages book for references to the Grateful
Dead, as you can see from the above quoted section, this book actually serves to help
discredit the whole idea by the fact that it’s only mention of “intelligence” activities of the
Dead is an alleged, and undocumented “interview”.

I’ll give you an example, from the book, of something that is definitely true, and actual, that is
offered the reader:

Cultural anthropologists Margaret Mead and her husband Gregory Bateson were
both involved in MK-Ultra. Abramson administered LSD to Bateson in 1956; later
Bateson established the LSD research center at the Palo Alto Veterans
Administration Hospital in California.

The above is fully documentable, however, as is usually the case with La Rouche materials
– they don’t provide it.

Interesting, isn’t it?

I found the book very educational – but not for the reasons the authors intended, of that I am
certain.

Coming back to Jim Keith’s book for a moment, he is another excellent example of giving
you truth, but not either the right truth, or the actual truth (which all elements must be present
to meet that criteria)

At one of the conspiracy theory websites, Rense.com, you have this:

Keith goes on to document CIA connections to the creation of mind control cults
used to create “controlled chaos.” These include the Symbionese Liberation
Army, Jim Jones, Charles Manson, Scientology, the Unification Church, Son of
Sam and Heaven’s Gate. The John Lennon assassination also ties in. (p.183)

I check Keith’s book, and this is what it has:

“John Starr Cooke was another 60s notable who functioned as a guru to some influentials in
the Haight Ashbury scene. Cooke is alleged to have been a leading Scientology operative
and reportedly was close to Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard in the early 50s. According
to one account, Cooke was the first Scientology “Clear”….Cooke’s sister was married to
Roger Kent, a leading light in the California democratic Party, whose brother Sherman was
head of the CIA’s National Board of Estimates, and was CIA director Dulles right hand man
during the 50s. Cooke is said to have regularly hobknobbed with other CIA personnel.”

Now what’s interesting about this, is that it correctly talks about operatives, the CIA, L. Ron
Hubbard, and Scientology. But that’s about IT. It chooses the wrong person to document this
with, this John Starr Cooke guy, skipping over Hubbard himself with only a cursory mention
of his “possible” connections due to his ONR (Office of Naval Research) background. Plus,
as you will see, it picks a perfectly discreditable person to hold up as an example of a
“Scientology Operative.” – that is not an accident.

The whole thing here Keith has concerning Scientology as a so-called “expose” is a VERY
bad job of it, compared to some of La Rouche’s publications – if you follow me there.

I’ll show you how easy this one is to discredit, if some hapless person was to take it as
actuality.

It wasn’t even hard! Just go to wikipedia and read a much better version of this story.

Not that it is fully truthful either, but you can get an idea of the differences and levels of skill
in propaganda.

After I got done with all that business, then I started pulling hard – really ratcheting google
around until I did find at least something about the FBI and the Grateful Dead.

And that was, funnily enough, at something called The Vault.

The FBI vault that is. Several of these documents were declassified in 1982, one document
was never classified in the first place.

Plain text:

LSD ORIGINATES FROM SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA THROUGH A

RENOWNED ROCK GROUP KNOWN AS GRATEFUL DEAD. THE GRATEFUL DEAD
IS WELL KNOWN TO DEA, SAN FRANCISCO.

Well now, that’s actually accurate, in the sense that “Bear” Owsley was manufacturing LSD
for the Bay area (and was the sound engineer for the Grateful Dead) at one point before
LSD was made illegal in 1966.

But as an actual FBI document, it’s a far cry from what Jim Keith tried to attribute to
LaRouche’s book, which in turn attributed some different “intelligence” capacity concerning
The Dead to some nebulous “interview.”
See how that works? The moral of the story is – pay attention out there. There’s lots of
Wiley Coyotes with information just as badly sourced as this particular example (Jim Keith)
was.

LaRouche’s book did cover this particularly short little blurb fairly accurately – but notice how
he doesn’t give the actual date of the document (in the excerpt below). It is MAY of 1984!

Not even close to “the 1960’s”. Not to mention that May of 1984 is awfully close to when this
book was published – how did the Larouchites get this so fast?

Here’s the heading of the doc that has the excerpt I gave above, on page 2. I made arrows
to the date, and also highlighted the “Unclass” (unclassified) designation.

.
.

I’ll tell you one thing, this kind of horsing around with inaccurate reporting of specifics,
certainly makes it hard for a researcher to track down the actual document, doesn’t it. It was
also left out when it was declassified – another detail there was no reason to leave out. And
the second document mentioned is from September 1970, not 1971 – so that is a wrong
date in the below. This is the kind of bullshit that goes on with La Rouche works.

New Dark Ages Conspiracy –

“In the 1960s, an unidentified FBI agent wrote that “LSD originates from San
Francisco through The Grateful Dead.” Despite this allegation, the FBI apparently
had very little knowledge of the future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees — the
1971 declassified memo accusing them of trafficking appends the band’s name
with “It would appear that this is a rock group of some sort” — another Fed
agreed to label the rock band as “dangerous” and on par “with organized crime.””

Here’s the one they gave the wrong date for:

By the way, the link I put above to the FBI Vault – if you go and look at these yourself, you’ll
notice that pretty much all the other documents concerning The Dead are so heavily
redacted there’s barely even a comma left!

The FBI and the CIA have a history of not exactly getting along as agencies. The CIA tended
to view the FBI as inferior flat-foots whereas the FBI viewed the CIA as a bunch of arrogant,
conniving, psychos who flagrantly disregarded the law at the drop of a hat.

The FBI was pretty close to the mark on that one.

I have a document from the FBI Vault, that shows one example of what pisses the FBI off
about the CIA – they bald-faced LIE to them about operations they were definitely and
illegally* running in the United States.

*The CIA was not supposed to run ‘domestic’ operations, as in operations on American soil.
.

The documents included by the FBI in this collection concerning ESP, mostly concern their
investigations of a Mr. Foos, who in 1957 claimed that he could teach the blind to see; and in
six months teach a person without eyes to see sufficiently well to drive an automobile safely.
An early case of “remote-viewing” – you could say. He would have his daughter blindfolded
and she would read documents that were put in front of her, but the FBI decided that she
was reading through a small hole in the blindfold, basing that on the fact that when
documents were put face down in front of her – she couldn’t read them with her “remote”
seeing.

But that’s not really the point, the point is that one of the documents starts talking about J.B.
Rhine and the Duke University experiments…

.
.

The next document in the file is just about completely redacted, and a form lists the FOIA
exemption reasons as b7c and b7c.
What those are:

Exemption (b)(7)(C) provides protection for personal information in law

enforcement records the disclosure of which “could reasonably be expected to
constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.

Exemption (b)(7)(D) provides protection for “records or information compiled for

law enforcement purposes which could reasonably be expected to disclose the
identity of a confidential source and information furnished by a confidential
source.”

The next document discusses a demonstration for the CIA and military intelligence
representatives – which shows their interest in the area.

The next part of the document shows the tap-dancing towards the FBI beginning by those
involved.

Plain Text:

Lieutenant Colonel John Downie, Special Operations Branch, ACSI, advised

[blacked] at a representative from his office and a representative from the Army
Intelligence Center at Fort Holabird, Maryland, had attended a demonstration
given by Foos held on August 8, 1957, at the Marriot Motor Hotel, U.S. Highway #1,
Arlington, Virginia. Attached hereto is a copy of a memorandum submitted by
George C. Blackwell, the representative from Colonel Downie’s office attending
this demonstration. As far as Colonel Downie knew, there was no representative
from CIA at this demonstration; however, it was his understanding that on August
8, 1957, another demonstration was given by Foos to individuals unknown to
Colonel Downie, not representing the Department of the Army however.

So, what the heck is ACSI?

Here’s a brief history of it:

The origins of the Army’s Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence can be
traced all the way back to 1885 when the Army first established a Military
Information Division within the Adjutant General’s Office as a permanent
peacetime intelligence organization. After 1889, the Military Information Division
began to receive reports from a growing network of military attaches sent to
overseas capitals. [they were acting exactly like the later CIA] In 1903, when the
Army created a General Staff, the Division was upgraded in status and became the
General Staff’s Second Division. However, in 1908 the Second Division was
consolidated with the Third Division, which was responsible for war plans and
training, and under peacetime conditions, the intelligence function soon lapsed. In
1917, when the United States entered World War I, the Army was effectively
without an intelligence organization.

The situation was remedied by the strenuous efforts of Major (later Major General)
Ralph Van Deman, who quickly organized a Military Intelligence Section within the
War College Division of the General Staff. This organization quickly expanded. By
the end of the war, it had become a full division of the General Staff and was
headed by a brigadier general, while its activities had expanded to include code
breaking, conducting counterintelligence operations, and operating the military
censorship organization. Once the country returned to peace, however, the Army’s
commitment to intelligence waned. Due to Congressionally-imposed restrictions
on the number of general officers permitted to serve on the General Staff, the
Military Intelligence Division was normally headed by a colonel. The Division’s
sources of intelligence were limited, and when the Army Signal Corps succeeded
in breaking the Japanese diplomatic machine cipher in 1940,the information
derived from intercept was so closely held that only the Army G-2 and two other
officers had access to the source. As a result, the Division’s intelligence estimates
were prepared without any SIGINT input.

In the aftermath of Pearl Harbor, there was a general reorganization of the War
Department General Staff. All operating functions of G-2 were placed under a
separate Military Intelligence Service (MIS), and the Military Intelligence Service
created a tightly compartmented Special Branch to evaluate (and
later, disseminate) intelligence product derived from SIGINT. As the war went on,
communications intelligence became the single most important intelligence
source, and the Special Branch rapidly expanded. Finally, in the summer of 1944,
MIS was reorganized, and SIGINT made available to additional intelligence
analysts. In late 1944, MIS was given operational control over the Signal Security
Agency, the Army’s main codebreaking organization at Arlington Hall Station,
Virginia. When the Army Security Agency was created in September 1945, it was
given the status of a field operating activity under the Assistant Chief of Staff, G-2.

In 1946, another Army-wide reorganization dissolved the independent MIS and

reestablished the Military Intelligence Division as an operating agency under a
Director of Intelligence. The title of the head of the Army’s intelligence staff was
changed to Assistant Chief of Staff, G-2, in 1950 and to Assistant Chief of Staff for
Intelligence (ACSI) in 1956.

The 1956 redesignation was a step backward for Army intelligence, since the other
General Staffheads were advanced to the Deputy Chief of Staff level. Meanwhile,
the electronic warfare mission had been assigned to the Army Security Agency;
as a consequence, the Army Security Agency had been resubordinated from the
Assistant Chief of Staff, G-2, to the Chief of Staff of the Army.

A major change in the status of the Army intelligence staff took place during the
tenure of Robert S. McNamara as Secretary of Defense. McNamara’s decision to
create a unified Defense Intelligence Agency(DIA) in 1961 resulted in the transfer
of ACSI’s responsibilities for intelligence production to the new agency.

So, in 1957, at the time of this Foos demonstration, Lieutenant Colonel John Downie, was
from the Special Operations Branch of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence (ACSI),
which had just been created a year earlier. One of their primary areas of interest of ACSI
was communications intelligence and that was under the “Special” Branch.

Strangely, a search for John Downie repeatedly lands in various sources discussing the JFK
assassination – one such source is a book, and the references to John Downie (who
apparently became a Colonel later) start on page 75:

I have found, what I feel, is a much better source. This is from a collection concerning
Senator Ervin’s investigations into Army Intelligence.

.
“It is essential, for instance, that the people of the United States know how
widespread this surveillance has been, how many churches, how many preachers,
how many students, colleges, institutions and law-abiding members of society have
been monitored and made subjects of dossiers.”

Wow.

There is a very well-written article called Spies Among Us by Clay Risen. It covers the
lead-up to this senatorial investigation. Senator Ervin is the same man that would lead the
investigations into Human Behavior Modification abuses, as well as Watergate.

In one of the documents in this collection, it mentions a 113th Military Intelligence Group.

What is the 113th Military Intelligence Unit? Here is a pdf file of an excellent history of the
various intelligence units.
The 113th was specifically known for it’s electronic warfare capabilities. It later became
known as:

HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS

DETACHMENT 207th MILITARY

INTELLIGENCE BRIGADE

It’s insignia –

SHOULDER SLEEVE INSIGNIA

Description: On an oriental blue disc a silver gray key

and lightning bolt crossed slightly above center, with

the key s ward at the lower left and the lightning bolt s

point to the right, centered below is a dagger, point up,

with silver gray blade and black hilt; all within a

narrow red outline of a seven-petaled stylized rose.

Symbolism: Oriental blue and silver gray are associated

with military intelligence. Red derives from the

predominant color of the VII Corps shoulder sleeve

insignia and black represents the unknown. The key

and lightning bolt represent electronic warfare and

security and also signify the numeral two of the unit s

designation. The stylized seven-petaled rose has its

origin in the more traditional compass, dagger, and

rose associated with the military intelligence branch

and also represents the numeral seven of the unit s

designation as well as the number of the corps it

supported. The circular shape of the insignia also

refers to the zero of the unit s designation. The dagger

denotes the counterintelligence function of the unit.

DISTINCTIVE UNIT INSIGNIA

Description: A gold color metal enamel device consisting

of an oriental blue five-petaled heraldic rose and

centered vertically thereon a gold lightning bolt surmounted

at the bottom by a horizontal gold key,

surmounting the lightning bolt at center a white horse s

head between two white wings, each with seven

feathers. Attached to the bottom of the device a scroll

of three parts inscribed with the words SEE STRIKE

KNOW in black letters.

Symbolism: Oriental blue is one of the colors associated

with the military intelligence branch. The heraldic

rose, a part of the military intelligence insignia, indicates

the brigade s association with that branch. The

winged horse (Pegasus) with seven feathers on each

wing signifies aerial vigilance in support of the VII

Corps. The key denotes the unlocking of the enemy s

secrets. The lightning bolt represents the unit s electronic

warfare capability and its ability to transmit

information rapidly

So, apparently this 113th unit was engaging in surveillance against American citizens, is
what Senator Ervin is trying to track down (in the above excerpted letter.)

It appears possible that our Colonel John Downie, named in the FBI file we started out
discussing, had something to do with this unit, and from the looks of the next document? It
looks like he was the superior officer over that unit, and others.

Here is where it mentions Downie:

.
Three years later, another document of the hearings then, is available in the Internet Archive
and shows more clearly what John’s position was.

Major General Joseph McChristian, who was then Assistant Chief of Staff for
Intelligence, and Colonel John Downie — who I understand will testify later today
— who handled counterintelligence activities for General McChristian.

So basically, McChristian was the ACSI, and Downie handled all the counterintelligence
activities for him as ACSI – sort of like his right hand man, I imagine. And…it was called
Special Operations Branch back in 1957 at the time of the FBI document.

Ok, so now let’s look at this FBI doc again –

Now isn’t that just fascinating that Military Counter-intelligence head, Colonel John Downie
was interested enough in this early form of “remote-viewing” to ask for a demonstration?
Remember, this is long before the experiments at SRI. Plus, the fact that Foos had been
“checked out by J.B. Rhine at Duke (who was under a covert MKULTRA contract himself at
the time) just adds more to the party here in 1957.

The next document shows that Downie was interested in Andreja Puharich’s work that far
back, as well.

Puharich is a whole other can of worms – we’ll be getting to that in later articles. But in this
collection there is a whole interesting memo of the Army’s meeting with Puharich.

Now the “denials” of esp workability and other assorted tap-dancing start up:
.

Thing is, both the CIA and the Army have projects right along this line at this time, that are
secret, and it looks to me like the FBI is being warned off with “nothing there” story lines.

Keep in mind Downie’s interest, and the CIA’s interest in this Foos character in 1957, as well
as Downie’s military intelligence group hooking up with Puharich and his telepathy
experiments that year. Cuz now it gets really interesting – watch the Army lie here, and the
FBI scientists too!
“no basis in science for the validity of extra sensory perception as described in this
article…”

Oh really…

Well, now that I’m done establishing the excellent example of tap-dancing going on here on
the subject of telepathy and “seeing” at distances, it’s now time to bring out something
interesting that I don’t think most people know about. It’s a little bit of “special” sleuthing I did
on a redacted CIA document.

I’m not going to explain right now how I can just “know” things – I just do, and that’s exactly
what I did with these documents I’m about to get into.

(Note: those that have further interest in the FBI vault documents, can always read them at
the link I provided initially)

Back in April of this year (2012), I suddenly took off onto a track of research that it was now
time to do, and was heavily documenting things that had not been – not how I was doing it.
Just after I put together this one particular part, was when various idiots set about trying to
come up with “dramatic life events” to try and distract me off of what I was doing (you
wouldn’t believe what those consisted of). The second time I picked this up again, a couple
months later, lo and behold!! More “dramatic life events” were manufactured.

The moral of the story here is –

.

So, this is now the third time that I have picked this up again, and you’ve been seeing some
of that large body of work coming out in my recent articles.
With that said, there were two particular things that I was last on, before the first “drama”
cycles began (in an attempt to distract me).

One of them was this CIA document:

http://stargate.collection.free.fr/PDFs/MKUltrasubproject136.pdf

This is a project researching extrasensory perception, apparently previously begun in 1959,

but also there is some evidence to suggest that work on this began as far back as 1952 as a
crossover from Project Artichoke.

Briefly, here is what code-name Artichoke was, and when it started – documented for you in
such a way that you can actually track the documentation yourself. Not too many internet
persona out there make this easy-which is why I decided to spend the time doing it so that
others would have a resource that doesn’t send them on a wild-goose chase trying to
establish the proof.

First, here is a complete listing of declassified MKUltra documents, although it is difficult to

tell what is what, even from the index this website provides. There are errors in the index,
such as some Project Bluebird files are misnumbered as 140392 series. The CD listings
(the cds are available directly from the government as well), give a different numbering
series which I had to just intuit to track these down. Which always works in a pinch – you
should try it sometime! The correct number series on the CD listings is 147… not 140… The
CDS are purely numbered docs folders with further numbered files within the folders – in
other words, you can’t tell what is what on it’s surface.

These scanned images of declassified MKUltra documents are all also available at the
Internet Archive using the same numbering system. This was not easy to track down, let me
tell you, and I thought I should provide this backup version just in case something should
happen with black vault’s website.

Using Black Vault’s layout, the following documents are on cd #1 main directory. The first
couple are being included just to help people find them easier – always a daunting task with
these MKultra files.

Folder 147392 – is about analysing medical experimentation and other information “gained”
from Project Bluebird.

Folder 147394 – is about Frank Olson – the man who died from LSD experimentation on
him.

So, what is this project ARTICHOKE? Well, let’s back up just a bit…

First you had the importation of the NAZI doctors and other personnel – called Operation
Paperclip.

This picture is of just the Nazi rocket scientists, taken at Fort Bliss.

.
.

And after wiping their Nazi History clean off the record, they were then “approved” and were
promptly sworn in as American citizens –

Other former Nazi Personnel, had decidedly less publicly palatable histories compared to the
“rocket scientists”. Some of them were doctors that carried out the horrific experiments at the
German concentration camps – and were “inspirations” to people like Ewen Cameron.

From the second article in my Brotherhood Series; Sneers, Queers?, and Puppy-Dog Tears

Where did Ewen Cameron get his ideas from? Why, from the freshly imported Nazi
Doctors who had just completed doing horrific experiments on “political
undesireables” such as Jewish people, gypsies, etc. – over in Germany! The
Operation Paperclip Scientists were blanche given cartcourtesy of SOE (British
Special Operations Executive) and it’s American OSS flunkies General Donovan
and Allen Dulles.

Note about the above image: If you’re not familiar with Dana Carvey’s Saturday
Night Live character Church Lady, you may not know that one of the things
Church Lady would respond in skits with “Isn’t that special”, were horrific things
like people shooting each other etc.- and she would characterize it as “boys
playing” by saying “isn’t that special”.

Very much like embracing of these horrific MKULTRA and Nazi experiments as
being “a good thing” – like Ewen Cameron did.

You can see Ewen Cameron and the Operation Paperclip Nazi scientists live, in
the following video compilation by Mike McClaughry, entitled Dr. Ewen Cameron
and Operation Paperclip.

.
Operation Paperclip was the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) program (ordered by their
masters British SOE and MI6) and it was used to recruit the scientists of Nazi Germany for
employment by the United States in the aftermath of World War II (1939–45). It was
conducted by the Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency (JIOA), and was part of laying waste
to Germany’s scientific and productive capabilities as a country. It was said by one British
official at the time, essentially; that every factory, every mine, every anything at all that could
be a place to produce scientific discoveries was to be destroyed completely. One way this
was done was by getting control of suppliers of any equipment that could possibly be used
“in someone’s barn” or anywhere, for scientific experimentation.

Although the JIOA’s recruitment of German scientists began shortly after “victory” was
declared (8 May 1945), US President Harry Truman did not formally order the execution of
Operation Paperclip until August 1945.

In an obvious public relations maneuver – so that the President would not be “seen” to be
supportive of such a monstrous injustice to all the people horribly experimented on and killed
by the Nazis – Truman’s order expressly excluded anyone found “to have been a member of
the Nazi Party, and more than a nominal participant in its activities, or an active supporter of
Nazi militarism.” However, those restrictions would have rendered ineligible most of the
leading scientists the JIOA had identified for recruitment, among them rocket scientists
Wernher von Braun and Arthur Rudolph, and the physician Hubertus Strughold, each earlier
classified as a “menace to the security of the Allied Forces”.

To circumvent President Truman’s anti-Nazi order, and the Allied Potsdam and Yalta
agreements, the JIOA worked independently to create false employment and political
biographies for the scientists. The JIOA also expunged from the public record the scientists’
Nazi Party memberships and régime affiliations.

Now that those nasty little truthful “details” have been erased, Truman’s administration can
pretend to not know what they are approving. Accordingly, the U.S. Government granted the
scientists security clearance to work in the United States. Paperclip, the project’s operational
name, derived from the paperclips used to attach the scientists’ new political personae to
their “US Government Scientist” JIOA personnel files.

The aeromedical library at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas had been named
after Hubertus Strughold in 1977. However, under public outcry at the revelation of
documents from the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal that linked Strughold to medical
experiments in which inmates from Dachau were tortured and killed – it had to be renamed.

Strughold, is a perfect example of a mentor of Dr. Ewen Cameron, and also projects
BLUEBIRD, ARTICHOKE, and MKULTRA.
Hubertus Strughold supervised the murderous experiments performed at Dachau.
More than 32000 people died at this camp due to malnutrition, disease, execution, and
unethical experiments.

But hey, he’s a real white guy to bring into the U.S. right? Wrong.

.
So, people like Strughold and others were rolled into Project BLUEBIRD, which was a
project researching “interrogation methods”. BLUEBIRD was approved by the CIA director
on April 20, 1950. It was run by the CIA’s Office of Scientific Intelligence.

It was renamed ARTICHOKE on August 20, 1951. Artichoke is alleged [not verified yet] to
have been rolled over into Project MKULTRA on April 13, 1953.

ARTICHOKE was an offensive program of mind control that gathered information

together with the intelligence divisions of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and FBI.

In addition, the scope of the project is alleged by wikipedia (I have not verified with a
document as yet) to have been outlined in a memo dated January 1952 that stated, “Can we
get control of an individual to the point where he will do our bidding against his will and even
against fundamental laws of nature, such as self-preservation?”

I suspect that’s accurate, considering the other actual documents I have been studying from
black vault’s MKULTRA archive.

Now we’ll get into the ARTICHOKE documents I have been able to identify, so far.

The following documents are on Black Vault’s cd #1 main directory.

Keep in mind, this is Allen Dulles writing this document –

“I am sure that you will recognize the implications which might be drawn should it
become known, generally, that CIA or the Military Intelligence Agencies are
directly concerned in this matter, even though this concern stems primarily from
the defensive aspects of the problem….The Code word “Artichoke” has been
assigned and is unclassified when used in such a way that it does not reveal the
nature or scope of the problem.” – Deputy Director of the CIA Allen Dulles

OSS case officer Allen Dulles with some of his agents in Prague – 1944

.
.

A word about the functions of the Director, and Deputy Director –

The Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (D/CIA) reports directly to the
Director of National Intelligence (DNI); in practice, he deals with the DNI, Congress
(usually via the Office of Congressional Affairs), and the White House, while the
Deputy Director is the internal executive.

Allen Welsh Dulles became the DD/CIA in August of 1951, just in time to rename
BLUEBIRD to ARTICHOKE. He held this position until February of 1953, when he was
promoted to Director of the CIA, and his Deputy position was filled by General Charles
Pearre Cabell, until Cabell was forced by President Kennedy to resign, on January 31, 1962,
following the failure of the Bay of Pigs Invasion.

a little closer…

.
“Medical Science, particularly in the fields of psychiatry and psychotherapy, has developed a
variety of techniques whereby some control can be imposed on the will of an individual. The
techniques include neuro-surgery, electric shock, drugs, hypnosis and others.”

Bringing this out in extreme highlighting –

“…the fields of psychiatry and

psychotherapy, has developed a variety of
techniques whereby some control can be
imposed on the will of an individual.”
.

That makes it pretty damn clear what the real functions of psychiatry and “psychotherapy”
have been all along.

Get that? Imposing control on YOUR WILL.

Can you believe the arrogance of these people – what the hell gives them the right to
impose THEIR control of what YOUR will should be?

Now there’s a question – since these people aren’t exactly what you could call… STELLAR
ROLE MODELS.

What they are is, ugly monsters – like something straight out of an old time horror movie.

.
Next up on CD #1, is one of the document series that I figured who was involved in this
particular dark (top secret) MKULTRA sub-project.

Just to recap, these documents are from Black vault’s website that has a complete listing of
declassified MKUltra documents. Using Black Vault’s layout, the following documents are on
cd #1 main directory.

This is sub-project #94, which was research initially using dogs and other animals, with
goals of identifying brain areas, implanting micro-electrodes directly in those brain areas,
and then controlling brain action by remote-control, with the ultimate goal of human
application.

I figured out that this involved a company called Panoramic Research, which one of the
heads was private citizen Woodrow “Woody” Wilson Bledsoe, and he was accompanied by
his friend Iben Browning. I have never seen anything linking these two with this particular
MKULTRA subproject.

I’ll be getting to more about all that as we go along, but first, let’s familiarize ourselves with
subproject 94 itself.

the 17497 document series

The docs are mostly out of order time-wise, and I decided to present the portions of interest
in a time ordered arrangement. I will list the doc number for each one, so anyone can find it
within the 17497 doc series folder on cd #1.

So, here we go…

If you google search this phrase:

The records on Subproject 94, part of Project MKULTRA, dated 22 November 1961,
describe the purpose:

You’ll see the usual assortment of weird and pretty much unreliable sources. The main thing
here, is that they give you the LATER dated document, and don’t make it clear that this
phase of experimentation started a year earlier. They give it as being a November 1961
document, but as you will see, that’s a re-submission “for the record” basically.

Now, let’s get into the PEOPLE.

1959 – Panoramic Research Inc/Bio-Research, Inc. gets first contract from MKULTRA.

David Price is THE ONLY source that connects Bledsoe with ANYthing mkultra-wise, but you
will notice that the 80,000 dollar contract to Panoramic is NOT connected to Bledsoe, nor
is the particular sub-project named. [images provided a bit later]

Colin Ross is THE ONLY source that connects subproject 94 with Panoramic, but I saw no
mention of Bledsoe in his book.

Most MK-ULTRA research concerned biological, chemical, or hypnotic means of

behavioral control, but Contract 94 (classified Top Secret) with Bio-Research, Inc.,
and Panoramic Research, Inc., in 1959 was for “Brain stimulation studies – remote
control of animal behavior”;
(Colin A. Ross, MD, Bluebird: Deliberate Creation of Multiple Personality By
Psychiatrists [Manitou Communications, Inc., 2000], pp. 326, 328, 330; reissued as
The CIA Doctors: Human Rights Violations by American Psychiatristsin 2006)

– The second link (above) takes you to the book itself.

I am happy to report that I have solved exactly who and what were involved in
subproject 94.

This was the key:

A memorial from the University of Texas:

Panoramic Research, Inc.

In 1960, Woody, [Woodrow wilson Bledsoe] along with Iben Browning and Lloyd
Lockingen, left Sandia to start Panoramic Research, Inc. (PRI), in Palo Alto,
California. The majority of the work involved AI-related contracts from the U.S.
Department of Defense and various intelligence agencies.

We were constantly, repeatedly, searching for, proposing and trying out ideas
which we hoped would “move the world.” That was one of the first AI groups
before the term “Artificial Intelligence” came into use (Bledsoe 1976).

Bledsoe already had top secret clearance because he had worked with Sandia, a
Department of Defense contractor, doing nuclear weapons research starting in 1953. This is
also where he met Iben Browning and they became friends.

Put that together with this, from David Price:

.
.

And now you know that Bledsoe and Browning (and Lockingen) were involved with the
creation of Panoramic Research, and that they went to SRI (Stanford Research Institute)
territory – Palo Alto.

Stanford’s property and buildings sort of spans across both Palo Alto and Menlo Park, with
basically one major street being a separation point between the two “towns”.

First, let’s track down the actual corporations mentioned, Bio-Research, Inc. and
Panorama Research, Inc.

The following online background search resource found the following:

.
.

Lloyd is another name associated with Panoramic Research, he worked together with
Bledsoe and Browning.

The Corporation wiki website – has it listed as a Texas Foreign For-Profit Corporation,
status: Inactive.

If Panoramic was supposed to have been created in California, (as several online sources
allege) why are there no records of it with the Secretary of State?

And why is it registered as a FOREIGN corporation in Texas – of all places.

It means that it is registered SOMEWHERE ELSE, and since the Department of Defense
was actually backing it’s creation monetarily, my guess would be somewhere back East.

I also checked New Mexico, by the way, Albuquerque being where Bledsoe and Browning
worked at DOD defense contractor Sandia – no records.

However, I did find Bio-Research, Inc., and it was actually incorporated in 1958, so it sounds
like these plans and projects of SECRET BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH were started earlier
than 1959.

Imagine that.

From chart by Colin Ross. 7

.
.

Wow. This Bio-Research place was apparently mixed up with tons of subprojects. MKULTRA
Subproject 22, 44, 43, 45, 51, 53, 58, 62, 70, 91, and 94!!!

It’s entirely possible that Bio-Research was a shell corporation or a DBA of Panoramic
Research, which itself was incorporated in a different state than California.

Whatever happened there, it is patently obvious that there was a distinct effort to hide the
companies actual originating point and perhaps it’s officers as well.

The important thing is the timing – it is EARLIER than all the other online sources would
have you believe.

Now let’s talk about Woodrow Wilson Bledsoe – nicknamed “Woody”.

“While working at Sandia, Bledsoe, Iben Browning, and Lloyd Lockingen received
encouragement from department of defense sources, promising financial support
to set up a small research firm to pursue topics related to pattern recognition. The
three left Sandia in 1960 and established the company Panoramic Research in
Palo Alto, California, Panoramic grew to a staff of about 10 people. …Panoramic
was a very early company to focus upon research in the general area of artificial
intelligence, including pattern recognition, facial recognition, genetics, and neural
nets.“ 6

Bledsoe and Browning’s PRI (Panoramic Research, Inc.) company also had a contract from
MKULTRA (funded through the cut-out of the Human Ecology Fund as documented by David
Price) to develop facial recognition software for mass population surveillance. This had the
shore story of being primarily to catch “bad guys”, I’m sure.

Bledsoe was one of the first researchers in this area. That itself, served as a nice “cover” for
what he was really doing for the insane Slavemasters of the world.

MIND CONTROL EXPERIMENTATION

.

REMOTE-CONTROLLED MINDS OF MEN

.

In-between torturing rats, burros, dogs and other small animals for the CIA in a quest
to figure out how to radio-control humans, Bledsoe found time to produce the following
reports:

Bledsoe, W. W. 1961a. Lethally Dependent Genes Using Instant Selection,

Technical Report PRI 1, Panoramic Research, Inc., Palo Alto, California.

Bledsoe, W. W. 1961b. The Use of Biological Concepts in the Analytical Study of

Systems, Technical Report PRI 2, Panoramic Research, Inc., Palo Alto, California.
Also 1961. Presented at ORSA-TIMS National Meeting, San Francisco, California,
November 10.

The media has gone out of it’s way to portray this man as a role-model “citizen”. He sounds
like Ghandi, Robispierre, and Benjamin Franklin all rolled up into one.
“He was perhaps the most wonderful person we have ever known. He was the sort
of perfect embodiment of faith, hope, and charity. It’s almost as though he was not
subject to the common human frailties. We never saw him discouraged, we never
saw him depressed, and we never saw him unkind.” – Ballantyne; AI magazine Vol
17, No 1, Spring 1996

“He was universally calm and fair-a model citizen of the world.” – Leonard
Gillman, 1996, describing Bledsoe

To me, lionizing this man is going beyond the pale, and is just about as bad as that Nazi
doctor that ran the Dachau camp getting awards and buildings erected to his “genius” in
Texas!

The following are a couple of examples of the lack of knowledge (or outright whitewashing)
of Bledsoe’s Jekyl and Hyde persona evident in MKULTRA sub-project 94.

Some of the earliest research on machine recognition of faces can be traced back
to the 1960s at a company called Panoramic Research, Inc. in Palo Alto, California,
one of many companies springing up in California at the time to conduct research
in what was later termed artificial intelligence. The work at Panoramic Research
was funded largely by the US Department of Defense and various intelligence
agencies [unnamed], and thus was unavoidably entrenched in the US fight for
cold war technological dominance. Research on machine recognition of faces was
conducted by a man named Woodrow Wilson “Woody” Bledsoe, one of the
cofounders of Panoramic Research. Bledsoe is now widely recognized as one of
the early researchers of artificial intelligence and a pioneer in the field automated
reasoning. A member of the Army Core of Engineers during World War II and a
devout Mormon, he was a firm believer in incremental scientific advances as
opposed to major leaps or paradigm shifts. –

Engineering started to show interest in face recognition in the 1960’s. Oneof the
first researches on this subject was Woodrow W. Bledsoe. In 1960,Bledsoe, along
other researches, started Panoramic Research, Inc., in PaloAlto, California. The
majority of the work done by this company involved AI-related contracts from the
U.S. Department of Defense and various intelligence agencies. During 1964 and
1965, Bledsoe, along with Helen Chanand Charles Bisson, worked on using
computers to recognize human faces. Because the funding of these researches
was providedby an unnamed intelligence agency, little of the work was published.
He continued later his researches at Stanford Research Institute. –

Automated Reasoning: Essays in Honor of Woody Bledsoe by Robert S. Boyer

“…an unnamed intelligence agency.”

It’s not unnamed anymore.

Do notice the drop out of about 4 or 5 years in the last one above.

Yeah, we don’t need that part, right?

.

Now that you know what sub-project 94 is, I think that this particular speech by Bledsoe
really takes the cake as far as being truly SICK.

This man is trying to be Martin Luther King here!

In 1985, Bledsoe gave the presidential address at the annual meeting held at UCLA.

“Twenty-five years ago I had a dream, a daydream if you will. A dream shared with
many of you. I dreamed of a special kind of computer, which had eyes and ears
and arms and legs, in addition to its “brain.”

When I awoke from this daydream, I found that we didn’t have these things but we
did have some remarkable computers, even then, so I decided then and there to
quit my job and set about spending the rest of my life helping bring this dream to
reality.”

(p.57, Bledsoe, 1986)

This is also the guy that helped invent “shakey” – the robot shown briefly at the end of
the last episode of Battlestar Galactica (the second version).

So, you could say, this man is a CYLON lover.

.
.

.
I particularly laughed at this part of Bledsoe’s speech:

“When I awoke from this daydream, I found that we didn’t have these things…”

He didn’t know that before – how out of it was this guy? Did he take some LSD or something
in 1964?

Wow man….I’m trippin’ – I’m seeing computers with eyes and ears and legs. Whoa!
Far-out.

After all, he was there at SRI just in time for the CIA projects of Willis Harmon, Gregory
Bateson, and Al Stolaroff’s second-generation LSD testing to begin it’s initial preparatory
stages.

1959.

An LSD trip – or just a “daydream”. You decide.

YOUR BRILLIANT

[Flipped by Mike]
You are brilliant. Your articles are pure genius, and you are obviously very well read. I’ve never
seen someone be able to find the things that you have, simply using a laptop and a search engine.
You’re like the Sherlock Holmes of the internet! Please, please continue, you are enriching
people’s lives by giving them access to some real documents – not just the stupid conspiracy
theories like so many other websites and book authors. It’s incredibly nice of you to to take the
time to do this, and for free, no less. Thank you.
*Note from Mike – There has been an increase in deliberately hysterical comments during the last
month, and I thought it’d be fun to play with one of them. This comment (including the posting
“name”) has been edited to reflect the real problem that the commenter had a shitfit about, and in
the spirit of that, I flipped it to better reflect the real view.
Enjoy.
