ACNE
Pimple starts when pores are
clogged with an oil called sebum.
Sebum is usually use to lubricate
hair and skin.

Acne is common in teens during


puberty when their hormones
reached its peak and produced
excess sebum.

Most oil producing glands are


found on the forehead, nose and
chin, this is called the “T-zone”
where most pimple occur.
TIPS IN TREATING
ACNE
1. Wash your face no more than twice a
day with warm water. Use mild soap
for acne. Never scrub, it will cause
the skin to irritate.
2. Don’t pop pimples, it can cause
infected material further into the skin.
3. Don’t touch your face as it can
spread bacteria onto the face.
4. If you wear glasses, clean the area
around your nose and eyes
frequently.
5. If you have acne on your body, avoid
wearing tight clothes
Sun and Skin
Sun Ray have a lot of affect to our skin. It can
cause us skin cancer and many other skin
diseases. Therefore, we must protect our skin
by doing the following step:

● Wear sunscreen that have a sun


protection factor of at least 15. And
reapply the sunscreen every hour and a
half.

● Use a sunscreen that block both UVA and


UVB rays.

● The strongest time of sun’s ray is between


10 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the time, reapply
the sunscreen frequently.
● If you are around reflective surface ( water , snow
or ice) , use more sunscreen

● Also protect your eye and face so that the sun can
not damage them.

● If you are taking skin medication, there is a good


chances that your skin will be more sensitive. So,
increase the amount of sunscreen you put on.
Cold Sores
Cold sores are show up as tender blisters on
the lips. They are caused by a type of herpes
virus (HSV-1, which most often is not
sexually transmitted) so they are contagious
from person to person.

Once you get this virus it stays in your body,


meaning you'll probably get cold sores every
now and then throughout your life.
Tips for Cold Sores

● Avoid Sharing anything that would come in


contact with your lips and skin that will contact
your lips, to prevent contamination.
● People who have the virus should be aware that
stress, sun, and sickness can cause cold sores to
happen, so they should should put on suntan
lotion, eat well, exercise, and get plenty of sleep.
Tips for Cold Sores
If you do have a cold sore, here are some tips for keeping yourself comfortable:

- Take acetaminophen or ibuprofen if the cold sores are painful.


- Suck on ice pops or cubes to ease pain and keep cold sores cool.
- Stay away from acidic foods and salty, spicy foods, which can cause irritation.
Tips for Cold Sores
● Don't pick at cold sores while you're waiting for them to go away. They may
bleed or become infected with bacteria or you could spread the virus.
Usually, cold sores go away on their own after a week or two.

● If you get them often or they're a problem, talk to your doctor or


dermatologist, who may be able to prescribe medication to alleviate
symptoms and shorten the amount of time cold sores last.

heavily fragranced lotions.
● Should wear the gloves when you are
going to have your hands in water for a
long time.
● Use moisturizer lotions.
● Stay away from materials like wool or
spandex that may cause irritation
(RECOMMEND COTTON)
● Keep stress in check
● Aware the ingredients in the make up
(have to free of dyes and fragrances) When your skin become red , itchy and dry.
You must go to the doctor for the best
treatment if you are having warts at your
genital area.
