Criteria
Activity 1
Write a report on Data Management which gives at least 2 reasons why 1.1
organisations need to collect HR data, identifying at least 2 types of data to 1.2
be collected and explain how each supports HR. You should also describe
2 methods of storing records and the benefits of each. Give an explanation 2.1
of two essential items of UK legislation relating to the recording, storing and 2.2
accessibility of HR data.

Activity 2
Identify an area of HR data that you will investigate, (such as absence data,
records of new starters or leavers, performance appraisal statistics), the
time period you intend to investigate and the part of the organisation you
will focus on. Analyse this data to identify any trends, patterns, causes and 3.1
present your findings in a written statement, with relevant supporting 3.2
documents (for example, spreadsheets, tables, graphs or charts) to
illustrate your analysis.

Evidence to be produced

Activity 1:
Report of approximately 750 words.

Activity 2:
Written statement of findings (of approximately 250 words) with supporting documents.
