Project Charter
The Project Charter is developed to formally authorize a project in response to an approved business case. The Project Charter contains the high
level definition of the project to meet the objectives of the approved business case. It should be relatively brief.

Purpose of a charter: (1) Help management understand what the project will deliver, along with a high level estimation of the time, cost, and
resources required; (2) formalize management’s commitment to dedicate the time and resources necessary to prepare a more detailed, written Project
Plan for formal approval.
