Progamme Focus
The training includes the following subjects, such as pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry,
pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, pharmacognosy, management and economics in pharmacy. There are
elective courses in the curriculum reflecting modern trends in the development of the specialty, such as
pharmacoeconomics, pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical terminology, instrumental methods of pharmaceutical
analysis and extra disciplines for comparing and evaluating the health systems, the pharmaceutical market, the level
of pharmaceutical care in different countries, namely: national aspects of pharmacy, ethnopharmacy and world
pharmacy.
Programme advantages
The programme is practice-orientated (27 weeks) including training practice in botany, first aid, pharmaceutical
propedeutics, pharmacognosy; pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical chemistry, management and
economics of pharmacy. Practices are held at the botanical gardens, pharmacies, pharmaceutical warehouses
and pharmaceutical production plants.
