Community Involvement Narrative Report


Full Name: Jan Elmer L. Labesores
Course and Year: BSN-1B

Climate change is one of the issues that we are currently struggling to face and even
way before. It is the root for the catastrophic floods that we’ve experienced and has been
damaging a lot of resources and worst-case scenario, has taken lives. In addition, more
capitalists have been engaging in deforestation to make subdivisions and this has somehow
afflicted in the way we cope with these calamities.

In this photo, our club together with other environment-affiliated organizations, have
initiated to take part in the tree planting that took place near the Cagayan de Oro River. The
activity highlights that a tree planted is planting a hope for a better future. Moreover, the
activity is also rooted for the purpose of giving back to the community or the environment
where we live in. As a youth expected of bringing about change for the next generation, tree
planting is one of the many activities that can contribute to the wellness of the community. It
may be just a single tree but the effect it gives off is greater than what we expect. Lastly, after
participating in the event, I felt relieved that in a simple way, I was able to lend a hand in
pursuing a great cause for the community.
