It all started when the COVID-19 (Corona Virus) start to enter Indonesia in the early of march of
2020 and start to spread wildly from that point from just 2 infected people to 890 infected people in just
20-ish day. Because of that virus people start to panic buying all the stuff that they needed to prevent the
transmission of the virus such as masks and hand sanitizers.

According to the data that has been gathered by http://telunjuk.com , the total combined sales
of hand sanitizer sales from three e-commerce sites namely Tokopedia, Shopee. And Bukalapak from
march 2 to march 11 2020 amounted to Rp652,964,118 which is 81% increasing from before march 2020.
The sales hand sanitizer is rising because that the government has been suggested to use it every time
and if possible, we have to carry it everywhere.

Many people tend to resell the hand sanitizer that they buy online with higher price and have a
big gap on the pricing because they want to make more money by taking advantage from the pandemic
situations. For that reason the sales of the hand sanitizer has sharply increasing because of the panic
buying and the people who resell the hand sanitizer that cause the rarity of the product on the offline
store, so they have to buy it with a much higher price or buy it in online store with slightly higher price
that the original price.
