1. Date
Before learning how to say the date in English, you should know about ordinal
numbers

at these
ordinal numbers:

• 13th – thirteenth
• 14th – fourteenth
• 15th – fifteenth
• 16th – sixteenth
• 17th – seventeenth
• 18th – eighteenth
• 19th – nineteenth
The numbers ending in -ty, like 20 and 30, change the -y to -i and add -eth. For
example:
• 20th – twentieth
• 30th – thirtieth
• 21st – twenty-first
• 22nd – twenty-second
• 23rd – twenty-third
