Part I: Having personality

This is the descriptive section. Through the use of personality

assessment tools, you can develop a description of your personality. You
can refer to tools used in classroom exercises or other tools that you have
access to.

Disclaimer: I did 3 online tests, I do not know how reliable they are but
the analysis that I got was very accurate and so, do take that into
consideration as It is sets limitation to my answer.

The three tests that I did were Eysenck Personality test, Big 5 Personality
test and the Rorschach ink blot test.

All the test scores will be added at the end of this word document
To begin with the I took Eysenck Personality test which includes three main components:
Extroversion, Neuroticism and Psychoticism. I personally like this test because it reflects my
personality in a very accurate way. I ranked 79% on extroversion, 73% on Neuroticism, and 56% on
Psychoticism. Before taking this test, I knew I was a very outgoing person, I love hanging out with
people and making new friends, going to different places, communication, and truly the list goes on.
However, this test validated it with my very high score on Extroversion, because the test does state
that “Extroversion results were high which suggests you are overly talkative, outgoing, sociable
and interacting at the expense too often of developing your own individual interests and internally
based identity. “Which validates what u mentioned above about my personality. Next is Neuroticism
which is relatively close to my score on extroversion. Even though, I’m a very outgoing person I do
tend to worry about many different things, whether people will like me or not, or whether I’m good
enough or even if I fit in. I also tend to merge my worry with being highly emotional on aspects that
sometimes don’t even really matter but for me worry=stress=emotional and that link makes me fear
the future on most days. The test also portrayed my secure on this trait very accurately and stated
that “Neuroticism results were high which suggests you are very worrying, insecure, emotional,
and anxious.” Lastly, is psychoticism which I scored relatively low compared to the previous two
traits. Which I also agree with because sometimes I am selfish, and I want to benefit myself and
myself only especially if the people I am working with are not close to me but at other times where I
trust the people I am with I do disregard the idea of being selfish. Depending on the situation, I tend
to be angry or frustrated I do not work well with others and it is very hard to cooperate with me in
these specific times but when I am in a good mood and everything is going fine, I cooperate
regularly. Lastly, I am a very difficult person to deal with I like my ways and my ways only and
sometimes this “Psychotic behavior” gets the best of me and leads to acts that are not in the best of
my manners. All in all, I found that this test was very helpful and accurate and portrayed my
personality accurately to the degree where I now understand myself in a different aspect and why I
do certain things.

Moving on to the Big 5 personality test, which I believe summarizes my personality in a broader from
then Eysenck’s personality test. My scores did vary on the five dimensions and the way they were
assorted describes my personality in nutshell. As a start, “Openness to experience” where I scored
very low (22%) which is very true, I am a very traditional person I like things to be done the way I am
used to by my parents, I also am very down to earth, and I am very conservative person, I am very
old-fashioned to the point where I don’t tolerate new ideas and topics. Next, is “Conscientiousness”
where I had an average of (72%) which is very accurate, I am a person that is very well-organized and
disciplined, I like to do things in order and do them in good manners, which is what this score
portrays. Moving on to “Extraversion” which is my highest score of (83%) and this shows that I am
outgoing and like making friends and communicating with others which I have expressed before, I
also like working with other in groups to from bonds and make friends. Next is the “Agreeableness”,
which is my lowest score of (3%) and this shows that I am very competitive which is beyond
accurate, I like doing well but I also like doing the best. This also shows that I am proud which is also
very accurate, regardless of how I perform I am always proud that I’ve done something. Lastly, is
“Natural reactions” which is the equivalent of “neuroticism”, where I scored (68%) which is a middle
range meaning that I am relaxed but I am also a worrier, I don’t get upset easily but I also experience
negative emotions which is also very true, I get stressed but I also like to be relaxed it truly depends
on the situation that I am in.

Lastly, is the Rorschach test which I will analyze using an amended version of Exner’s scale to make is
more applicable for us to use as non-psychoanalysts. I chose one image to analyze, the image can be
found at the end of this word document, and below is my response.

“I see a very ugly black butterfly that is flying upwards. The wings are big and fuzzy. However, if
we look at the body part of the image we can see a rabbit with its two ears jumping as the legs
are in a straight upward position. I can also see two crocodile heads at the end of the butterfly’s
wings, but they aren’t as prominent as the butterfly. All in all, the image is very disturbing.”

DEVELOPMENTAL QUALITY:

Part I-A: Location

W: which means that I have analyzed the entire image which in this case is the butterfly. However, I
did look at other parts and made sense of them as well which are the crocodile and rabbit.

Part I-B: Developmental quality

O: When I analyzed the image, I saw objects that have clear form, structure and outline, however do
not interact together.

DETERMINANTS:

Part II-A: Form

- Movement was involved thus no code was given

Part II-B: Movement

- FM: which means that partial movement was seen as the rabbits in the picture where
jumping upwards in a straight motion, furthermore, the black butterfly was flying upwards
which also indicates movement.

C-Chromatic colors: My picture did not include colors it was black, white, and grey. Hence, it is not
chromatic

D-Achromatic colors:

- FC’: Which means that I only used monochrome colors and thus indicates that my priority is
form rather than the actual color of the image.

Shading/Texture:
- FT: Meaning that my primary focus is form and then texture as I perceived to describe the
image initially based on the way it looks rather than the texture itself.

Shading dimension:
- FV: Which means that I focused mainly on the form and then the dimension came next for
me thus making the form the primary basis for analysis.

Shading-Diffuse:
- YF: Meaning that the shading of the picture gave more depth and analysis to the picture
however it wasn’t my main of focus of examination.

Form Dimension:
- No 3D dimensionality was needed to understand the picture thus this is not applicable.

Pairs and reflections:

- 2: Meaning there was a pair response, the crocodiles in the picture are on the opposite side
of the image and are equivalent to each other.

FORM QUALITY

MOVEMENT SUPERSCRIPTS:

- P (Passive): Which means that the objects do less than just talking and that is true, the
butterfly in the image is flying while the two crocodile aren’t facing each other thus no
communication.
- U (Unusual): Meaning that it is uncommon, and truthfully people might recognize the
butterfly but might not recognize the crocodiles nor the rabbits.

Contents:
- Whole animal- A: I saw an entire butterfly with its wings.
- Animal detail- AD: As mentioned previously, I saw distinct details in the animal figures, such
as the wings, the crocodile faces, and the rabbit ears.
- ART: The figure also looked like an illustration because of how abstract and un-realistic to
reality.
POPULAR RESPONSES:

- P: It was a frequently given response; most people tend to see rabbit ears and the crocodile
heads therefore it is a commonly given answer.

ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITY:
- Z: The image integrated 2 adjacent figures which in my case are the two crocodile heads and
since they are on adjacent sides not touch was involved.

SPECIAL SCORES:

Unusual Verbalization:
- Deviant Verbalization: DV1, meaning that there are a pair of some object which in my image
is, two pairs of rabbit ears and two pairs of crocodile heads.
- Deviant Responses: DR1, meaning means an inappropriate phrase, which in my case is the
following sentence:” All in all, the image is very disturbing.”
- Circumstantial responses: meaning that there is an inappropriate elaboration that includes
rambling, but this isn’t applicable to me as my explanation was short and straight to the
point.
- Inappropriate Combination: meaning that the image is merged together to form one distinct
object and, in my case, this also isn’t applicable as I see four different distinct objects, two
crocodile heads, rabbits ears, and a butterfly.
- Inappropriate Logic, ALOG: I tend to link butterfly to a black color as I have a phobia from
them and so black for me equals ugly and this is how I formed the link of the butterfly/moths
because in my head it’s an ugly animal and thus should stay away from me.
- Preservation and Integration Failure:
- Content Perseveration PSV: Meaning that the objects identified was seen previously and, in
this case, it was the butterfly in my image, it is something that I have seen before even if I
am afraid of it I still do see it on a day to day basis.
- Special Content Characteristics:
- Aggressive Movement, AG: Meaning that the movement response is related to current
aggression and this does apply to me as I see the butterfly moving in a staright upward
motion as if its attacking someone, I also see the crocodiles mouth open as if they are
condemning someone.

The Final Code:

On an ending note, I liked doing these online tests it was a very eye-opening experience and I do
believe that they portrayed my personality in a very accurate way, but I am also keeping in mind that
these are online tests and might not be fully reliable or valid but as a general idea they fit my
personality scale quite well.
