ஆநந்த³ஸிந்து⁴லஹரீமம்ரு’தாம்ஶுமௌலே-
ராஸேவிநாமம்ரு’த-நிர்மித-வர்திமக்ஷ்ணோ: ।
ஆநந்த³வல்லிவிததேரம்ரு’தார்த்³ரகு³ச்ச²ம்
அம்ப³ ஸ்மராம்யஹமபீதகுசே வபுஸ்தே ॥ 1॥

நிர்நித்³ர-கோகநத³-கோமலகாந்தமம்ப³-
நித்யம் ஸுதா⁴நிகரவர்ஷி பத³ம் த்வதீ³யம் ।
மூர்சா²கரஜ்வரருஜா மம தாபிதஸ்ய
மூர்த்⁴நி க்ஷணம் ஸக்ரு’த³பீதகுசே நிதே⁴ஹி ॥ 2॥

ஶீதாம்ஶுகோடி ஸுஷமாஶிஶிரை: கடாக்ஷை:

அவ்யாஜபூ⁴தகருணாரஸபூரபூர்ணை: ।
கர்பூரதூ⁴லிமிவ தி³க்ஷு ஸமாகிரத்³பி:⁴
அம்ப³ க்ஷணம் ஸ்நபய மாமருணாத்³ரிமாந்யே ॥ 3॥

ஆவிர்ப⁴வ க்ஷணமபீதகுசே புரஸ்தாத்

அம்ப³ ஜ்வரேண மஹதா மம தாபிதஸ்ய ।
யேந த்வத³ங்க்⁴ரிருசிஜால-ஸுதா⁴ப்ரவாஹே
மக்³நஸ்ததை³வ தநுதாபமமும் த்யஜேயம் ॥ 4॥

நாநாவிதை⁴ர்நலிந-ஜாதலிபிப்ரக்லு’ப்தை:
ஆநீதமூர்ச²மதி⁴கம் க்ஷுபி⁴தைர்ஜ்வராத்³யை: ।
ஆஶ்வாஸய க்ஷணமபீதகுசே கராக்³ர-
க்ரீடா³கநத்கநகஹல்லகஸௌரபே⁴ண ॥ 5॥

கண்டே² விஷம் விஷமுசோ பு⁴ஜகா:³ கபர்தே³

பார்ஶ்வே ச பூ⁴தபதய: ப்ரமதா²ஶ்ச பீ⁴மா: ।
ஶோணாசலேஶமுபஸ்ரு’த்ய ப⁴ஜேத கோ வா
ந ஸ்யாத்தவாம்ப³ ஸவிதே⁴ யதி³ ஸந்நிதா⁴நம் ॥ 6 ॥

ஶக்திர்ஜக³ஜ்ஜநநபாலந-ப⁴ஞ்ஜநேஷு
போ⁴கே³ஷு தி³வ்யமஹிஷீ தருணேந்து³மௌலே: ।
ஸித்³தி:⁴ கரப்ரணயிநீ தவ ஸந்நிதா⁴நம்
யந்நாஸி தஸ்ய தத³பீதகுசே ந ஜாநே ॥ 7॥

த்வம் ஸாக்ஷிணீ ப்ரலயபை⁴ரவதாண்ட³வாநாம்

த்வம் ஶேஷிணீ ஸஹரிதா⁴த்ரு’ சராசராணாம் ।
த்வம் மோசிநீ ஸகலஸம்ஸ்ரு’திஜாலகாநாம்
த்வாம் ப்³ரஹ்மஸம்வித³மபீதகுசே நமாமி ॥ 8॥

Note: Once Sri Appayya Dixita had gone to Tiruvannamalai for darshan of Lord
Arunachalesvara. There he was laid up with severe fever. At that time he composed
this poem and prayed to Goddess Apitakuchamba. He got immediate relief. Even now a
devotee can get relief from fever and other ailments by reciting this poem.

A short life sketch of Shri Appayya DikShita (1520-1593 AD) Shrimad Appayya DikShita
was born at Adayapalam village, very near Arni, North Arcot District, Tamil Nadu in the
year 1520 AD. His father Shri Rangarajadhari was the son of Shri Acharya DikShita - also
known as VakShasthalacharya who was in the court of Shri Krishnadevaraya. Appayya
was an endearing form of his real name, Vinayaka Subramaniam. The 16th century
AD, in South India was an age of confusion when begotry and vigorous proselytism were
rampant. Persecution of one sect by another with the help of the ruling dynasties was quite
common. In such an age, the need was felt for a rare scholar with comprehensive vision
and imagination, whose mission in life would be the reconciliation of the various creeds,
cults and philosophies. Shri Appayya DikShita filled this essential need. He was a peace
maker who pleade for harmony, tolera nce and mutual goodwill and understanding at a time
when people were quarrelling among themselves as to who was superior Vishnu or Shiva.

யாத³வப்⁴யுத³ய வ்யாக்²யா, வரத³ராஜஸ்தவ அந்த்³ குவலயாநந்த³। :இஸ் ஸ்தோத்ரஸ்
அரே ஸிம்ப்லே, போபுலர் அந்த்³ ஏப²़்ப²़ேச்திவே, ப²़ோர் ஏக்ஷம்ப்லே, மார்க³ப³ந்து⁴
