Evolutionary Theory of Emotion

As per the evolutionary theory of emotion, our emotions exist
since they serve a adaptive role. Emotions inspire individuals to react rapidly to boosts in the
climate, which improves the chances of progress and endurance.

If you encounter a hissing, spitting, and clawing animal, chances are you will quickly realize that
the animal is frightened or defensive and leave it alone. By being able to interpret correctly the
emotional displays of other people and animals, you can respond correctly and avoid danger.

The James-Lange Theory of Emotion

This theory proposes that seeing an external stimulus encourages a physiological response. Your
emotional response is dependent upon how you translate those physical responses.

For example, if you run into a snake, your heart rate increases. James-Lange theory suggests that
the increase in heart rate is what makes us realize we're afraid.
The Cannon-Bard Theory of Emotion
This theory proposes that seeing an external stimulus prompts a physiological response. Your
emotional response is reliant upon how you decipher those physical responses.

On the off chance that you experience a dashing heart and perspiring palms during a significant
test, you will likely recognize the emotion as tension.

Schachter-Singer Theory
It is also known as the two-factor theory of emotion. This theory proposes that the physiological
excitement happens first, and afterward the individual must recognize the explanation behind this
excitement to experience and mark it as an emotion. A stimulus prompts a physiological reaction
that is then intellectually decrypted and named, bringing about emotions.

For example, on the off chance that you experience a dashing heart and sweaty palms during a
important test, you will likely recognize the emotion as tension.

Cognitive Appraisal Theory

As per appraisal theories of emotion, thinking must happen first before come upon emotion.
Richard Lazarus was a pioneer here of emotion, and this theory is often referred to as the Lazarus
theory of emotion.

For example on the off chance that you experience a bear in the forested areas, you may
promptly start to feel that you are in incredible danger. This at that point encourages the
emotional experience of fear and the physical responses related with the battle or-flight reaction
Facial-Feedback Theory of Emotion
The facial-feedback theory of emotions proposes that outward appearances are associated with
encountering emotions. Charles Darwin and William James both noted from the get-go that
occasionally physiological reactions often directly affected emotion, as opposed to just being an
outcome of the emotion.

For example, individuals who are forced to smile pleasingly at a social capacity will make some
preferable memories at the occasion over they would on the off chance that they had twisted or
conveyed a more fair outward appearance
