automatic inertia reel which, in the event of severe acceleration effects
due to gusts or impacts, locks the shoulder belts and prevents the
passenger being thrown forward.
The seats are fixed to adaptors by the means of quick release pins.
These adapters are available in three different types to suit cabin
configuration and engage into the rails of the cabin floor.

Impact Attenuation System

The seat bucket is connected to a “T” shaped section machined on the
outer surface of the left and right main frames via two plug inserts on
each side. This position of the seat bucket is kept by roller carriages
and attenuation tubes thus links the seat bucked to the main frames.
With a load of more then 2700 N applied to the seat, the seat bucket
moves down. As the seat bucket moves, the rollers apply a crushing
effect to the attenuation tubes. Energy is absorbed by the continuous
crushing process. The friction generated by the effect of the rollers on
the tubes prevents the seat rebounding.

Operation Heating System Duct Overtemperature Switches

If the switch BLD HTG is set to position NORM and the temperature The overtemperature switch, in the ducting just behind the mixing
control potentiometer is turned out of the OFF position, the two shut-off valve, monitors the temperature of the air mixture. If the temperature
valves inside the mixing valve will open and the metering valves control raises above 105 °C the switch causes the bleed air shut-off valve to
the bleed air flow according to the desired temperature. In the MISC. close. The caution light HTG OVTEMP will illuminate on the CAD. The
column of the CAD the green advisory HEATING illuminates as long same will occur if the overtemperature switch in the recirulation duct
as the selected temperature is not reached. For normal operation the detects a temperature above 71-82 °C.
n1 of both engines must be above 50 %. If one engine drop below 50
% n1, the shut--off valve will close automatically and the advisory
HEATING disappears.
In case of single engine operation the heating system could be
activated again by setting the switch BLD HTG in position EMER. This
causes the shut-off valve to open, ignoring the n1 below 50 % signal.
The heating system is electrically supplied via a circuit breaker
HTG V on SHED BUS 2 and the circuit breaker HTG CONT on ESS
BUS 1.
The open and closed position of the shut-off valve is detected via limit
switches. Should the valve remain open, the caution BLEED AIR
illuminates at the CAD while the BLD HTG switch is set to OFF and vice
versa.

Cabin and Duct Temperature Sensor

The cabin temperature sensor is installed at the cabin ceiling. The duct
temperature sensors are installed in the ducting just behind the mixing
valve. Both informations are transmitted to the control box which
causes the metering valve to change the ratio of bleed air to recirculate
air according to the selected cabin temperature.

Operation Ventilation System

The ventilation blower can be switched on / off and regulated via the
potentiometer CKPT VENTILATION in the overhead panel. The
system is electrically supplied via the circuit breaker CKPT VENT on
ESS BUS 1 and the circuit breakers BLWR CONT and BLWR on
NON-ESS BUS 1.
If the NON-ESS BUS 1 is not available the blower will be automatically
supplied via the ESS BUS 1.

Flap Valve Control

Via a operating knob, installed at the aft center console and labeled
PUSH FOR AIR, both flap valves can be controlled (cockpit ventilation
and instruments cooling). An opened flap valve allows ambient airflow
from the NACA inlet to the ventilation blower. If the flap valve is closed,
only recirculation air can be sucked from the blower.

Air--Switch Control
Via an operating knob, mounted at the aft center console labeled
PUSH FOR DEFOG, the air-switch can be controlled. If the knob is fully
pushed down, the whole airflow coming from the blower is routed
through the ejector to the windscreen ducts. In the ejector the cold air
is mixed with warm air coming from the mixing valve. If the Bowden
cable is fully pulled out, the total airflow is routed to the air--nozzles in
the instrument panel.

EM/EXIT LT Switch
The EM/EX LT switch is installed to approximately the center of the
cabin ceiling. The switch is fluorescent and can be used by the
passengers to switch on the emergency lighting in case of an
emergency, independent of the impact switch function.

Exit Light
Three EXIT lights are installed to the helicopter. One each above the
center of the passenger sliding door and one at the canted cabin frame
of the co--pilot side.
The LED type EXIT lights are controlled by the emergency exit light
system.

EMS Exit Lighting (Stairway Light)

The stairway lights are installed to left and right side shell just below
the sliding doors. The bulb type of light illuminates the exit area
including the boarding steps and is integrated into the control circuit
of the emergency exit light system.

Passenger Dome Light

The passenger dome lights are installed to the cabin ceiling over the
first and second row of passenger seats. They can be controlled
individual by push button adjacent to lights. In case of an emergency
condition they are integrated into the control circuit of the emergency
exit light system.

Interior Fairings

General
The interior fairings are made of phenolic-prepreg glasfibre reinforced
plastic, with a material thickness of 0.8 to 1.5 mm. The panels are
reinforced with nomex cores with a thickness of 5 to 8 mm.
On the cabin frame are three mounted panels. The center frame panel
is fixed to the frame with spring clips and screwed together with the
compass bracket. The two panels at the horizontal frames are
mounted via plastic straddling dowels.
The interior fairing in the passenger and cargo compartment consists
of three roof panels, six side panels and three small panels which
cover the gap between the cargo and the passenger compartment
panels.
The panels are fixed with a type of quick release screws and spherical
typehead pins fitted in spring clips. Additionally the side panels are
retained with Velcro tapes. The three small panels are mounted by
Velcro tapes only. The aft two roof panels are supported additionally
with two spring clips each at the mainframe of the fuselage.

Installation
To install the fairing, first the three small panels have to be fixed with
the Velcro tapes. After that the side panels can be installed, followed
by the last two front ones, as they are overlapping. Finally the three
roof panels can be installed, the middle ones shall be the last because
they overlap too.
For deinstallation the order must be reversed.

The weights of the absorbers are moveable at the springs via electric

attachment points of the absorbers, measure the oscillation of the
mass and the fuselage. These signals are computed to output signals,
and cause the servo motors to move the weights to the necessary
position.
