Aim(s) of lesson:
Objectives of teaching:
1. Cognitive objectives: by the end of the lesson the Ss will be able to:
- Identify places of interest and institutions in a city
- grasp the meaning of some words and list them accordingly;
- ask for directions and give directions
2. Affective objectives:
- to give Ss confidence in their ability to use the English language;
- to have fun while studying the English language.

Vocabulary: places in a city
Grammar: prepositions of place
Communicative areas: asking for and giving directions
Skills: Speaking, Reading, Writing
Assumed knowledge: Ss have already studied/heard about places in town and prepositions of place, so they
can understand the new information better.
Students’ problems:
I anticipate that the following may cause problems:
Ss. may find it difficult to pronounce some words in English;
Ss. may have difficulties in using the English language to express themselves, or when speaking;
