U Irskoj na dan svetog Patrika sve je u znaku djeteline i zelene boje, koja je simbol

Irske. Na ovu svetkovinu, 17. ožujka, Irci prekidaju korizmeni post te jedu
tradicionalna jela i piju pivo. Uz usoljenu govedinu ili dimljenu šunku neizostavni
su krumpir i zelje. Krumpir je temelj tradicionalne irske kuhinje. Colcannon,
tradicionalno irsko jelo, priprema se od kelja, pire krumpira i komada svinjetine ili
slanine. Najpopularini desert u Irskoj je Brownie s pivom.

Japanska jela bogatstvo su okusa, mirisa, boja i onog neponovljivog duha Japana
koji zrači iz svake delicije. Uz rižu i konstantno prisutne morske plodove japanska
jela su vrlo hranjiva, bogata dragocjenim hranjivim sastojcima, laka za probavu i ne
debljaju. Japanci mnogo paze na ishranu pa stoga imaju sladoled od zelenog caja
ili soje.

U pogledu sastava i raznovrsnosti jela, azerbejdžanska kuhinja je među izuzetno


ukusnim i zdravim kuhinjama. Odlikuje se obiljem raznovrsnog mesa, povrća i
upotpunjena aromatičnim biljem i začinima. Glavna jela azerbejdžanske kuhinje su
preko 30 vrsta supa.Jedno od najpoznatijih jela je plov. Plov je riža sa šafranom,
poslužena s različitim biljem. Crni čaj je nacionalno piće i pije se nakon jela sam ili
sa sušenim voćem. Još jedno popularno piće je šerbet, slatko hladno piće od
voćnog soka pomešano ili kuvano sa šećerom, često zamirisano ružinom vodom.

Traditional Cuban dishes generally lack seasonings and sauces. Black beans, stews,
and meats are the most popular foods. Root vegetables are most often flavored
with mojo , a combination of olive oil, lemon juice, onions, garlic, and cumin. Hot
spices are rarely used in Cuban cooking. Beef and seafood are rarely prepared,
with the exception of lobster (which is so popular that it is becoming endangered
in Cuba). Other common dishes in Cuba are ajiaco, fufú and flan.

Russia has a history of a diet based on crops that can thrive in cold climates, such
as grains, root vegetables, and cabbage.Traditional dishes include roasted meats,
vegetables, soups, and stews. A staple of the Russian diet is dark, heavy bread. It is
not uncommon for a family of four to eat three or four loaves of bread a day. lso
popular are bliny (thin pancakes), and a variety of savory and sweet pies called
either piroghi. They are usually filled with fish, cheese, jam, cabbage, mushrooms,
chopped hard-cooked eggs, or meat.
