When I took the test, I got that I am an auditory learner, so I learn better by hearing rather than

by seeing things. This makes sense because in lectures, I learn better when I listen and then write

notes than if I was given only pictures and videos. For auditory learners, I can do

discussion/lecture-based classes to help them learn. I am also an applied learner, meaning I

prefer practical, real-life examples. I can help my students by having them learn through

experience, or problem solving. Most of the time I need examples after an explanation in order

for complete understanding. I can give my students a set of critical thinking questions to work

through when reading a text. Additionally, I am a verbal learner because I enjoy reading,

language and writing (which makes sense since I have an English concentration). I express

myself verbally. This connects to the fact that I am also a social learner. I like to work with

others and have interactions in class. To help social learners, I can have students collaborate in

class or assign group projects. To help verbal learners, I can utilize discussions and

presentations. Lastly, I am a pragmatic learner. I am logical and systematic, preferring to have s

set list of directions when completing a task. When I give my students an assignment, I can write

out a specific list of instructions for them to follow. Knowing a student’s learning styles could be

an advantage because when an ELL student is new to a school, they will need a lot of help

adjusting. If a teacher knows their learning style, they can adjust their instruction in order for

them to learn better and make the transition easier. It will help them become more comfortable

and learn the content better.
