PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION

Participant: Ms. Karen Hagupit (my bestfriend)

Me: Good day Ms. Hagupit

Ms. Hagupit: Good morning dave……

Me: How’s your day

Ms. Hagupit: It’s great hahaha…How about you?

Me: I’m good… Uhmm can I ask you some questions? This is a sort of interview

Ms. Hagupit: ok sure! Why not

Me: alright, thank you…. uhm I just want to be specific hahaahaha if it’s ok to you?

Ms. Hagupit: Yeah sure, you may start hahaahahha

Me: Can you tell me about your interest in life?

Ms. Hagupit: I am interested in quite many things that must of you find boring. I always like
reading, from fictional books to novels because it awakens my creative imagination and it also
help me in expanding my vocabulary and grammar. Besides reading I also like to listen to the
sound of music, especially those songs which suits the current emotion that I am feeling. I want
music because it soothes and mends my stress and problems. I also interested in cooking and
being in the kitchen. I am interested in trying new things like playing guitar and chess.

Me: I love to hear you’re interesting since we meet you always doing your interest, I love it
Ms. Hagupit: thank you, since then you are one who truly know my interest and you always
supporting me on what I ‘am doing

Me: Because you’re my best friend, I will always by your side…..

Me: uhm from your interest, what is the significant to you as a student?

Ms. Hagupit: Aside from that the things interest me also includes peculiar things like,
superstitious beliefs and science. I am always curious to know the trust behind those
inexplainable matters that even scientist couldn’t explain.

Me: Good afternoon, Ms. Escalora!

Lovely: Good afternoon Mr. Surbano!

Me: Can I ask you some questions? This is a sort of interview

Lovely: Yeah, Sure, you may.

Me: Ok thank you

Lovely: You’re welcome

Me: How do you come up with the new normal?

Lovely: I like to discover new things. I can say that I am not that great at anything but I know
something and I am still learning on the things and field that I love.

Me: So, what is your daily routine or hobbies at this time of Pandemic? Or what is your interest
in life?

Lovely: I love to make arts, and I prefer traditional one where I can make use of my art
materials and experiment on different colors, shading and techniques. Writing is also my
passion, specifically Journalistic writing, more on News Writing. I also love Filipino language and
baybayin. In Music, I like to play guitar and to sing, but I am not that good at it, still, I am willing
to improve. I like the book and film Harry Potter and I find people who are poetic and musically
inclined attractive.

Me: Very well said, thank you, I love of what you’re doing, it is very inspiring.

Lovely: hahaha! Thank you Mr. surbano, hope you already read my journals and seen my arts

Me: Yes, of course you’re such a talented person and I love your being innovative

Me: So, what is the significant of that things to you Ms. Lovely?

Lovely: Doing the things that I love is like an escape to me from all the stressors of the world.
Also, having the things that interests me helps me to know more about myself and how to
make use of my strengths and weaknesses to for my self-improvement and in building my self-
esteem.

Me: Wow! How’s spectacular you are…. Very courageous person and talented

Lovely: Thank you so much… hahahaha. For being consistent friend and my supporter

Me: hahaha as is bebe

Me: Can I know what's your strategies to go with the flow?

Lovely: I think life is designed to be complicated and going with the flow makes it a little bit
simpler. For me, when you say go with the flow, it is like entrusting your future to someone. I
lean and depend on God; I surrender everything to him and let His will be done. In that way, I
can go with the flow, with what is expected on me without worrying how things will turn out
someday.
Me: Thank you for spending your spare time to me, I am very thankful for what you given to
me…super thank you...

lovely: No problem as long as I ‘am not busy hahaha….
