CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
All this relates to the particle theory of matter. We learned that the particle
theory of matter shows that as you apply heat to something, the particles vibrate,
and move away from each other, which causes the objects to melt. Well, in the
same way if you apply the opposite of heat, which is basically really low
temperatures (because obviously there is less heat in them) the particles contract,
and become close together. Instead of saying apply the opposite of heat, you could
also say removing heat. But there is a time when something changes from a liquid
to a solid. this demonstrates it. There is something called nucleation which is also
very important in the action of crystallization.

A. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Well I think that our favorite water is a cold water. Drinking cold water does
have its benefits. Drinking cold water during exercise can help keep your body from
overheating and make your workout session more successful. This is probably
because drinking cold water makes it easier for your body to maintain a lower core
temperature.

B.PROBLEM STATEMENT

When cold water hits the stomach, the body is forced to use energy in order
to warm up that liquid inside your body to match that of the body's natural
temperature. Instead of working to extract all the foods nutrients, your digestive
system is instead working on regulating the temperature of the cold drink.

C.HYPOTHESIS
When you add a small ice crystal to supercooled water, the cold ice piece
causes a chain reaction, which results in instant ice. ... To conclude, when purified
water is put at its freezing point, adding the ice cold water creates a chain reaction
causing it to freeze instantaneously.

D.SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
CHAPTER 3: EXPERMIENTAL DESIGN

A.VARIABLE
1. Dependent
A purified water bottle was used as a dependent variable because we are
testing the experiment if purified water bottle can really freeze instantly.

2. Independent
Materials was used as a independent variables because we are testing of
the experiment can really turn a purified water bottle cold and helps to
make purified water bottle solid.

3. Controlled
The step by step procedures remain the same. Big bowl, ice and purified
water bottles are

B.Materials(with pictures)
-Purified water bottle (not yet opened)

-Big bowl

-Ice cubes

C. Methodology
1. Put the purified water into the freezer for 3 to 4 hours.

2. Put an ice into a big bowl.

3.Then pour some super cooled purified water into a bowl with ice.

4. Observe the water making instant ice.

CHAPTER 4: RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Trial/s
1st trial Failed I forgot to remove the
bottle at right time so it
freezes.
2nd trial Success I put an alarm so that I
can remove the bottle at
right time.

The 1st trial was failed due to overtime freezing.

The 2nd trial was successful because I waited for the righ time to remove the
bottle.

CHAPTER 5: CONCLUSION AND

RECOMMENDATION

A.Conclusion
There is some people whose work is making ice shake.
Some of them need to buy blender that costs a thousand
money just to make a shake.
B.Recommendation
Many peoples don’t know how to crush an ice without a
blender. So I recommend to do this experiment to make
their work easier and faster.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I would like thanks Mr. Wilson T. Gomez for giving
us this kind of project, I learned much about my topic
“Making Instant Ice”. I want to thank God for giving me
knowledge about this topic.
I also want thanks my parents for their full support, if
they didn’t did that support, I might surrender. Thank
you Mr. Wilson T Gomez for making us to do this
project. To God be the Glory.

GLOSSARY
Big bowl- is a rounded dish that holds food. Many people start the day
with a bowl of cereal. You might keep your sugar in a sugar bowl, or stir
up a batch of brownies in a big mixing bowl.

Ice- is a frozen water

Purified water- is water that comes from any source, but has been
purified to remove any chemicals or contaminants. Types of purification
include distillation, deionization, reverse osmosis, and carbon filtration.
