1 INTRODUCTION
It is generally accepted that the world is on the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution
that will be based on bio-cybernetic systems. Creating direct and non-invasive interaction of
the brain with external devices will be one of the key steps in the development of technology.
With the advent of new technologies, a new class of business models is created and, as a
consequence, does a new market of products and services, which potential is already
estimated at billions of dollars.

The Brain-computer interface (BCI) technology allows controlling the usual everyday devices
with the help of mental commands. The technology seems new, but the level of current
developments and the needs of various markets ensures that neural interfaces will become a
part of everyday life in the next few years.

In the future there will be no keyboards, joysticks, or touchpads, a person will directly control
the devices exclusively by mental commands. This is the essence of technology
development - simplification of interaction, simplification of use. The pinnacle of this
process, the last stage in the evolution of human interaction with surrounding devices are
neuro-technologies. Advantage of the technology - in the applicability to any sphere of human
life and in the possibility of implementation into any business processes.

NON-INVASIVE NEUROTECHNOLOGIES
ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR INSTALLING BRAIN
ACTIVITY SENSORS DIRECTLY INTO THE
CEREBRAL CORTEX. THE SIGNALS ARE READ
BY WIRELESS SENSORS, PUTTING A HEADSET
ON IS SUFFICIENT.

Today, neuro-technologies enable businesses to create new industries in existing markets,

such as neuro-VR, neuro-games, neuro-prosthetics, smart home and many others.

3
Basis Neuro Research Laboratory is a pioneer in the development of non-invasive
neurotechnologies and neural interfaces. Ten years of experimental and theoretical work
have resulted in a number of publications, numerous software patents and, most importantly,
working prototypes of neuro-controlled devices.

The technology is safe for users. It eliminates the exposure of the users to an active
electromagnetic effect, as well as any interference in mental processes, the psyche, the
decision-making logic. Consequently, neural interfaces developed at Basis Neuro can be
used to create mind-controlled products and services for people of all ages without need for
additional diagnostics.

Basis Neuro team, along with active work on their own projects aims to help modern
companies make neural interfaces a part of people's daily lives, simplifying their
implementation and use in virtually all areas of life.

Basis Neuro is a platform for service companies and developers that will enable them to
create products and services using neural interfaces for business, education, medicine,
sports or art. Using Basis Neuro technological and scientific developments, developers
will be able to create health monitoring systems, systems to control smart device or smart
homes, to develop mind-controlled games and entertainment projects, as well as gadgets.

The participants will be able to remotely purchase the necessary neuro equipment, receive
control software, to get access to algorithms for reading brain signals and an ever-expanding
database of decoded patterns. Basis Neuro team provides expert and technological support,
which will allow the users to exploit a range of new opportunities for their day-to-day product
and service development.

To ensure maximum efficiency of the Basis Neuro platform, the project will be implemented
using blockchain technology.

Application of blockchain is required for:

• verification of users of neural interfaces, which will effectively systematize the data of
their brain activity on conditions of anonymity.

• payment of tokens to users of the neural interfaces for providing data on their brain
activity.

• fixing the copyright of platform users on the created soft and hardware.

• secure storage of information about developers registered on the platform, fixing the facts
of purchasing of the SDK, licensing of the SDK.

• creating an open corporate structure, since all services and products of Basis Neuro are
paid for in tokens, investors will receive reliable information about the company's financial
flows.

Eventually the Basis Neuro platform will integrate service companies, development teams and
end-users into a global ecosystem, providing them with a ready basis for development and
competition in the neuro-products market.

To accelerate the development of the platform, Basis Neuro team made decision to launch
the ICO campaign.

2 NEUROTECHNOLOGIES AND NEURAL
INTERFACES IN THE MODERN WORLD
Neurotechnologies allow identifying brain signals for further processing and provide
opportunities for improving and correcting brain functions. The first developments in the field
of neural technologies were made long ago. In the last 20 years this field has rapidly
developed and now the technology is considered to be a reliable application rather than a
scientific experiment. The turning point was the emergence of neuroimaging that allowed
scientists to observe the brain activity directly during the experiments, to recognize and
decode its signals.

THE SIZE OF THE NEW BCI MARKET

SEGMENTS IS ESTIMATED AT
$100 BILLION BY 2020, AND AFTER
2025 AN EXPONENTIAL GROWTH TO
$1.8 TRILLION IN 2035 IS EXPECTED.

S O U R C E: F L I P B O A R D.C O M/@G R AV I T Y I S A H AT

One of the central areas of modern research and development is the creation of so-called
Brain-Computer-Interface (BCI) that enabled a person to control external devices using
randomly generated brain activity patterns. This allows you to control devices both
consciously, forming certain mental commands, and unconsciously, when devices and
gadgets adapt their work with reference to user’s emotions, condition and mood of the user.

7
The number of studies grows exponentially demonstrating that neural interfaces can help
both healthy people and those with severe motor disabilities to control and communicate
with the outside world1. However, despite the considerable success in creating such
systems, they still need to be transferred out of the laboratories and into the market2.

Even now, behavioral therapists3 have developed neurotechnology-based tools to restore

cognitive functions after traumatic brain injury4, when working with children suffering from
attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder5 and autism6. In addition, non-invasive approaches are
developed for training users of brain-computer systems7. The method of
neurocommunication has been supported by the idea that a person is able to control not only
their mental state but also wireless objects through changing their own brain's activity8. The
safety of these technologies for human health and for the brain in particular leads to
expanding the range of their possible applications to education, entertainment and other
fields, as a result, commercializing this area of innovation.

Methods of using brain signals, in most cases, are operant conditioning9, with a person
controlling the mental state and the activity of the brain. Neuroassistive systems (that allow
maintaining or increasing a person's capabilities and autonomy) become an effective
non-drug treatment, diagnosis and correction.

9
A NEURAL INTERFACE IS A NEW WAY OF INTERACTION IN
WHICH A PERSON CONTROLS A DEVICE WITH MENTAL
COMMANDS.

The neural interface simplifies the control and makes it more efficient: using a
forehead-mounted headset and wireless transmitters you can mentally interact with your
smartphone or other household gadgets, transfer information to monitoring devices
(for example, health trackers) and control wheelchairs.

Despite the fact that wearing a neuro-headset seems unusual, it does not cause any
inconvenience. In addition, there are growing opportunities for integrating neuro sensors
into everyday devices (for example, VR glasses, smart clothes). With the development of the
wearable device market, neuro sensors become more miniaturized and more convenient;
they no longer require any special training or cumbersome control units.

Moving neural interaction technologies into mainstream will significantly change the world
we are familiar with. Modern neural interfaces often look unfinished or have limited
functionality in this regard the developments by Basis Neuro laboratory solve many of the
existing problems, which allows the formation of a mass market for neuro products.

Neural interfaces include three categories – control technologies, monitoring technologies

and stimulation technologies.

CONTROL Convert mental commands into

T E C H N O LO G I E S digital signals to control devices

MONITORING Monitor user’s response to

10
CONTROL TECHNOLOGIES

Control technologies allow reading and interpreting mental commands and converting them
into digital signals to control various devices. This category includes the integration of neural
interfaces into the gaming industry and virtual reality, smart home and Internet of Things, as
well as medical and educational spheres. The potential of these markets for the next 5 years
is estimated at $800-900 billion.

MONITORING TECHNOLOGIES

Neuromonitoring allows tracking brain response to events or information. For instance, it can
be used to assess user perception of advertising, to control the psychophysiological state in
dangerous occupations. At present monitoring technologies tend to develop into
neuromarketing that gradually becomes more accessible and understandable for commerce.
At the moment the market for neuromarketing technology is estimated at $30 billion, but
the prospects for its development are enormous as it studies the mechanisms of consumer
behaviour and ultimately helps the business to reduce advertising costs and increase sales.

STIMULATION TECHNOLOGIES

Neurostimulation comprise unique methods to safely stimulate the brain and its activity.
Information fatigue syndrome and stresses lead to brain fatigue and increased tension,
which can adversely affect the state of memory and the overall effectiveness of thought
processes. Neurotechnologies allow safely toning up "tired" areas of the brain to support
healthy brain performance.

Even at the current level of technology development all three categories of neural interfaces
are ready for application both as individual technologies and a combined solution. The only
obstacle can be the unavailability of "box solutions" that businesses could use as they use
standard operating systems, application software, printers and gadgets.

11
NEURAL INTERFACES: APPLICATION
The application of neural interfaces is similar to that of any currently used wireless
technology which provides communication between people as well as interaction with the
outside world. At the same time, due to unique features and embedded functions neural
interfaces offer a new approach to the implementation of user interfaces and human
interaction with the outside world.

MEDICINE

According to WHO, 190 million people in the world have significant difficulty in functioning
and live with some form of disability1, mostly with limited mobility. And much more people
with physiological impairments are not able to fully enjoy the achievements of modern
technologies, gadgets and services, which significantly limits their communication.

Being integrated with a wheelchair, dentures and life support systems, neural interfaces can
improve the lives of millions of people with voice or visual impairment allowing them to
control all necessary devices.

ACCORDING TO WHO, 190 MILLION

PEOPLE IN THE WORLD HAVE
SIGNIFICANT DIFFICULTY IN
FUNCTIONING AND LIVE WITH
SOME FORM OF DISABILITY,
MOSTLY WITH LIMITED MOBILITY.

Neural interfaces are able to improve the life quality of million of people, because they can
be integrated with a wheelchair, prosthetic devices, life support devices, they also give the
opportunity to control certain devices without the help of voice or keen sight.

In addition, it is possible to develop special applications adapting neural interfaces for reha-
bilitation of stroke patients. According to the World Organization of Stroke, 15 million people
suffer stroke worldwide each year2. Neurotechnologies facilitate and accelerate the process
of rehabilitation and their widespread application will significantly reduce stroke mortality.

1 http://www.who.int/disabilities/world_report/2011/report/ru/
2 http://www.world-stroke.org/

12
Neurotechnologies developed by Basis Neuro enable to:

• Significantly accelerate rehabilitation of stroke patients by neurocontrol and VR

technologies.
• Expand physical abilities of fully or partially immobilized patients.
• Monitor patients requiring constant care and control.
• Improve positive dynamics of patients with cognitive impairment.
• Make a variety of services and technologies accessible to people with visual and
hearing impairments.
• Provide psychologists and psychotherapists with deeper understanding of what a
disabled person really feels and experiences.

According to our estimates, the market of neuro-applications and devices for medicine will
reach $50.5 billion within five years.

VIDEO GAMES AND VR

Nowadays we are living in a modern post-industrial society where robotic technologies,

machine learning and artificial intelligence are gradually relieving people of their work. What
is more important, entertainment is becoming one of the main drivers in the development of
modern technologies and businesses, while neural interfaces are now suitable for the role
of a new "joystick" which does not require any motor and physical efforts.

AR / VR industry will be developed even more rapidly than gaming industry as a whole
because of the educational and professional application of AR/VR technologies. They are
becoming smaller, smarter and more user-friendly. IDC’s research indicates that by 2021
AR/VR market will grow from $12 to $215 billion1.

Neural interfaces and video game industry:

• Single-player and multiplayer games with a non-linear storytelling. The plot of the game
depends on the online status of a user.
• New virtual reality: neuro commands are used to control the avatar and interact with VR
objects.
• VR sickness can be minimized due to the precise adaptation of the "virtual
environment” to the user.
• Gaming industry accessible for people with disabilities.

13
SMART HOME AND IOT

Smart house technologies have been around for a long time, but right now they are
becoming commonly available in terms of production and commercial application due to
cost reduction and rapid development. Nowadays neural interfaces can be intergrated into
software applications for controlling smart house systems. The market is expected to reach
$58 billion by 20201.

Neural interfaces for smart house allow to:

• Turn on/off the light, water and household appliances with the help of mental
commands.
• Reduce response time.
• Allocate parametric tasks to household appliances, media centers and other modern
devices.
• Home automation system can respond to the host's physical condition and create the
most comfortable environment by monitoring the psychophysiological parameters in
real time and transmitting data to smart home systems.

EDUCATION

Research and Markets reports indicate that by 2021 education market will exceed
$586 billion2. So neurotechnologies can find a number of potential applications in the
process of learning and teaching. VR and AR technologies as well as distance learning
provide us with unlimited creative opportunities.

14
Monitoring and neurostimulation can be introduced into the process of education to improve
its quality. Monitoring is used to determine the time phases most suitable for remembering
information. Educational services will be able to rely on the speed of thought of a particular
person and analyze the way this person assimilates information. A teacher will be able to
modify their work to fit the special needs of low-performing students.

Basis Neuro platform will allow to create special products and services that adapt the
interface to the demands of universities, schools and private educational institutions.

Neural interfaces in education are used to:

• Monitor the state of a student to determine the effectiveness of training.

• Provide neurostimulation to improve cognitive processes.
• Provide neurocontrol of gadgets or learning environment (smartphone, VR software and
hardware).

NEUROMARKETING AND BEHAVIORAL ECONOMICS

Neuromarketing - a new area of research that applies the principles of neuroscience to the
study of consumer responses to a particular product. Neuromarketing can be intergrated into
a special research project or be a part of real life processes which involve the use of
different goods, services and media content. By analyzing consumer responses neural
interfaces provide important feedback and offer new options and services.

Due to the benefits and high effectiveness of neuromarketing many large retailers are
introducing this technology into sales performance improvement. Today neuromarketing
research has already captured the market and is still growing at a rate of 18% per year.
According to Research and Markets reports, by 2021 the market volume will exceed
$50 million1. However, the growth and development of this market are affected by the
shortcomings of modern solutions and the lack of special software.

Neurotechnologies allow to:

• Clarify targeting of promotion actions and special offers, taking into account a person's
response to an offer.
• Stimulate consumption according to the particular condition of a person.
• Save a full range of customer – specific settings.

15
PSYCHOPHYSICAL MONITORING: A NEW MARKET

Technical solutions provided by Basis Neuro will help the developers to establish a new market
for monitoring psychophysical condition of a person. Nowadays there is a need for systems that
will allow to monitor psychological and emotional condition of people being employed in some
high-risk occupations. Besides, such systems are able to control people with depression or
mental disorders.

Monitoring systems can be used by air traffic controllers, drivers, pilots, the military and doctors,
that is, by people whose job involves risk and danger and requires maximum concentration. To
organize monitoring systems, we need to use a neural interface and adapted software enabling
real-time diagnosis of a person's condition and, if necessary, anticipate undesirable
consequences. The potential of this market is huge as it covers millions of people and thousands
of companies around the world, all being prospective customers.

Neurotechnologies and neurogadgets could be universally applied in virtually any industries

and any processes that will help the developers to enter new, only emerging markets. As it
was said above, the only barrier can be the absence of ready-made out-of-the-box solutions
that companies could use without carrying out their own cutting-edge research.

16
BRAIN-COMPUTER INTERFACE MARKET
The modern market of neural interfaces is represented by several companies that produce
and sell their devices to mass consumers. However, most of these devices have limited
functionality and a number of disadvantages that prevent neural interfaces from becoming a
truly mass product.

The key drawback is inefficient recognition of mental commands and limited number of
recognized commands. As a result, BСI-based devices do not work properly enough. This is
due to the fact that different people do not give their mental commands identically. Therefore
BCI should be based on a constantly developed and regularly verified and calibrated set of
recognized mental patterns.

THE MODERN MARKET OF NEURAL

INTERFACES IS REPRESENTED BY
SEVERAL COMPANIES THAT PRODUCE AND
SELL THEIR DEVICES TO MASS

S O U R C E: T H Y N C.C O M
CONSUMERS. HOWEVER, MOST OF THESE
DEVICES HAVE LIMITED FUNCTIONALITY
AND A NUMBER OF DISADVANTAGES THAT
PREVENT NEURAL INTERFACES FROM
BECOMING A TRULY MASS PRODUCT.

This ensures not only precise execution of mental instructions, but also creates
multifunctional neuron interfaces that are “tailored” to more than one specific product with
several fixed instructions. Such knowledge-intensive approach involves specialized
equipment as well as highly-qualified and experienced professionals to make it technically
feasible, but not all manufacturers can afford it.

As BCI market is a comparatively young area, industrial design of neural interfaces, their
usability and performance often leave much to be desired.

PRACTICAL VALUE OF BASIS NEURO RESEARCH
ADVANCEMENTS

Basis Neuro solutions are the missing link between knowledge-intensive and specialized
neurotechnologies and creative freedom of business in developing their products and
services.

To confine the application of neurotechnologies to a single industry means to artificially

restrain their development. In this regard, Basis Neuro strives to provide an open model for
applying the achieved results and enabling the business to employ neural interfaces while
experimenting and competing in the market.

The end-user will benefit from the ability of a neuroproduct to control wireless devices using
the power of thought, without the need for any physical effort, as well as the ability of
services to adapt to the psycho-emotional state of a person.

Manufacturers will appreciate the ability of neural interfaces to offer a new level of service
and a new kind of products thus emphasizing the development of technologies that allow
working with human brain and creating adaptive reality rather than upgrading devices.

BOTH END-USERS AND MANUFACTURES WILL ENJOY THE

ABILITY OF NEUROTECHNOLOGIES TO OVERCOME THE PHYSICAL
LIMITATIONS OF THE BODY ALONG WITH THE POSSIBILITY TO
INTERACT FASTER, ACHIEVE GOALS QUICKER, MANAGE MORE
TASKS.

SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATIONS OF THE METHOD

The development of self-learning data processing methods is one of the significant factors
that will help popularize brain-computer interfaces (gadget or other device).

It is necessary not only to learn how to read and distinguish between different brain signals,
but also to accurately decode what the person wanted to do (movement or action) in sending
a particular mental command. Without an accurate mechanism for interpreting brain signals,
the production of applied products and services for everyday use would not be possible.

The main goal of the project is to develop a neural network system for isolating patterns from
the multivariate "electroencephalogram" signal (hereinafter EEG). A head mounted device
registers the activity of the key parts of the brain thus obtaining a bio currents curve, then the
received patterns significant for the human-machine interface are classified.

25
Basis Neuro achievements include the certificates and patents in the field of human-
machine interfaces. One of them is the method for planning the actions of a multipurpose
autonomous robot that interacts with a person using gestures and recognizes images in real
time through predicting the behavior of an object in the field of view (RFBR, MOL_A_2012
No. 12-01-31266). A method for transmitting brain signals to a computer has been
developed, which made possible non-verbal communication (draft. Federal Target Program
No. 02.512.11.2196).

New neural network methods for classifying human mental commands in the multi-
channel signal of the electroencephalogram (Certificates of state registration for software
No. 2011612814 and No. 2013619351) have been developed for BCI, mental commands
being based on imaginary arm, foot and tongue movements1.

26
The features of EEG signals were studied experimentally for real and mental performance of
arm, foot and tongue movements1. It is shown that specific EEG patterns associated with the
performance of mental movements can be detected in real time at a rate of up to 500 ms. In
order to construct brain-computer interface the possibility to use the spectral EEG
characteristics of a human and EEG patterns related to the mental pronunciation of words
was explored2. To study the spectral characteristics of the EEG a program interface for visual
feedback of the mental command results (Certificate of state registration for software
No. 2013619430) was developed and the human learning ability to control the spectral
characteristics of their brain activity was studied3.

A neural network method for analyzing the structural organization of data in a feature space
is proposed to classify EEG patterns. The method allows extracting hidden knowledge about
the data structure4.

The conducted studies have virtually solved the significant problem of short-term
forecasting.

27
The novelty of the project consists in using the patented method of human
electroencephalogram (EEG) event-oriented analysis based on neural network algorithms
that provide recognition of arbitrary mental commands in real time. Interface settings and
calibration allows taking into account the individual characteristics of the user's brain and its
current functional state1. The software that provides neural feedback uses spatial-
frequency-temporal characteristics of the brain signals. The algorithms and methods aimed
at decoding and interpreting these characteristics allow wireless transmission of the
selected control commands to a variety of mobile devices2.

THE METHOD OF NEURAL

NETWORK
APPROXIMATION OF
INPUT DATA

The project team has developed and successfully applies the procedures of spatial
(multivariate) EEG signal filtering in order to increase the signal-to-noise ratio and informative
character of detectable EEG patterns. New methods for interpreting the brain signal
"constancy" and the method of automated mental command detection are created, by
virtue of neural network-based self-learning algorithms such as self-organizing incremental
artificial neural networks. This enables a user to adaptively build an individual set of mental
commands. The method is based on constructing an autoregressive neural network model
for predicting the EEG signal for a short time interval.

EEG Spectral Characteristics in the Course of Neurofeedback Training. J. Human Physiology, 2015, Vol. 41, No. 3, pp. 269–279

28
The proposed method makes it possible to develop new interactive mobile applications using
the technology of augmented and virtual reality, to manipulate controllable objects through
the neural interface and voluntary mental commands representing motor imagery.

Thus, the developed classification method consists in neural interface ability (1) to learn
quickly and efficiently having small amounts of data and (2) to be trained in real time. A
neural network system consisting of three co-operating neural networks - a neural network to
interpret the background signal constancy, a neural network to detect mental commands and
a neural network to classify commands - has a new property not typical for self-learning
signal recognition methods, namely, the automatic generation of training samples.
Moreover, the architecture of neural networks is original due to the heterogeneity of its
hierarchical structure because it is composed of specialized data accumulation modules.
The heterogeneous structure allows an open loop brain-computer interface. Contemporary
practice of applying learning methods to process data clearly shows that using a
combination of algorithms often improves the characteristics of the system1.
The combinations of algorithms to improve the accuracy of classification or regression have
become a standard. In addition, the developed sliding data training scheme with a constant
dynamic training algorithm to a new context adds to the novelty of the proposed model.

Development of such neural network structures is aimed at obtaining qualitatively new

characteristics of a human-machine system. The neural network system application that we
propose can be easily generalized to other types of human-machine interfaces, for example,
gesture control of technical devices through analyzing video signals, voice or multi-channel
electromyographic signals.

What is more, it made it possible to significantly reduce and simplify the person's
"acquaintance" with the neural interface minimizing time and optimizing the process of
calibrating the devices for a specific user and training them to interact with each other, which
is the key factor in creating customer-oriented neuroservices and products.

WHITE LABEL: BASIS NEURO INSIDE
A key opportunity for the technological development of the Basis Neuro project is the
integration of the neuro-control into third-party devices and systems. Basis Neuro is
not just a platform for the development and implementation of neuro-technologies; it
is primarily an opportunity for developers to create their own services and products
using mind control and neuro-monitoring.

Working with the platform will allow partner companies to use the scientific and
technical development of Basis Neuro to create applications adapting neural
interfaces for the management of any devices, develop their own neural interfaces
and create services for monitoring the psychophysical state under their own brand.

The advantage of using the Basis Neuro Inside franchise lies in the simple
implementation of ready-made neuro-solutions to existing products. This will allow
businesses to create rapidly a new generation of products and services in existing
markets, such as VR / AR, game industry, medicine, smart home and IoT,
neuro-marketing and monitoring and others.

The user’s data collected by the partner companies will be used in a common data
storage and processing system for the development of the technology.

BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGIES
The key benefits of the blockchain - decentralization, security of data storage and
anonymity - will be used on the Basis Neuro platform for the following purposes:

• Digital identification of users of neural interfaces.

• Payment of tokens to users of neural interfaces for providing data on their brain
activity.

• Fixing the copyright of platform users (developers) for the produced soft and
hardware. Registration of new products and services.

• Secure storage of information about developers registered on the platform, fixing

the facts of purchasing of the SDK, licensing of the SDK.

• Creation of an open corporation and optimization of business processes of the

platform.

38
Digital identification of users of the neural interfaces

The use of blockchain is necessary for the effective systematization of data on the brain activity
of the user of the neural interfaces taking into account anonymity. To implement the project, it
is important that users trust neuro-technologies and are not afraid of passing on information
about the processes taking place in the body. At this stage there is a combination of blockchain
technologies and neuro-biometry.

Payments of tokens to users of the neural interfaces

Effective development of the platform is possible only with further large-scale research of
human brain activity. In the foreseeable future, hundreds of thousands of people will use neural
interfaces in everyday life and work. All users will willingly provide data on their own brain
activity for research and receive a fee for it in tokens. The use of blockchain at this stage will
allow to pay fees to users efficiently and autonomously, which will reduce transaction costs.

Fixation of copyright and storage of information

The technology of blockchain has shown its effectiveness taking into account copyright for
patents and technological developments. The use of blockchain in the project is necessary
for fixing copyright on intellectual property of developers who produce their own services and
products on the Basis Neuro platform. And also for fixing the facts of purchasing of SDK and
licenses.

Creation of an open corporation and optimization of business processes

To increase the efficiency of business processes, settlements with investors, users and
consumers of platform products will be made in an internal currency - a token.

Funders investing in the platform of Basis Neuro, will see the real revenue, because data on the
number of goods and services sold will automatically be recorded in the blockchain of the Basis
Neuro token. Thus, for investors at the IСO stage conditions for absolute transparency and
reliability of business processes are created.

39
KEY ADVANTAGES

BASIS NEURO

Accessibility Expansion into new

markets

Flexibility Security Versatility

Accessibility

For small and medium-sized businesses or independent users, the development of

neuroproducts from scratch is considered to be as a large-scale project, which is not
feasible in terms of financial resources and scientific content. Basis Neuro platform
is based on proven and confirmed studies. Basic Neuro specialists have already
done all technology-intensive work so that developers can focus on business models
and functionality of their products.

Versatility

Existing market solutions are not universal. As a rule, they are focused on the end
user, and integrating such solutions into new business models results in long-term
and labor-intensive projects.

While most developers on neurotechnology market concentrate on the end user and
develop specialized products with a limited range of functions, Basis Neuro offers a
universal ToolKit that can be successfully applied in a wide range of areas (medicine,
entertainment, education) for a variety of needs (monitoring, management,
development of cognitive abilities or gaming).

Expansion into new markets

Since neurotechnologies have appeared quiet recently, they are not popular among
non-professional users and aren’t applied in everyday life. As a result, businesses are
reluctant to introduce neutotechnologies into their focus area because of the risks
associated with marketing, promotion and people’s unpreparedness to use them.

40
The versatility of Basis Neuro products will eventually turn the platform into a
large-scale online resource. This will create a loyal audience of end users and
provide developers with easy access to potential customers.

Flexibility

To start working on your own product it will be enough to buy Basis Neuro ToolKit,
which includes SDK and access to the database of mental patterns and algorithms
for recognizing brain signals.

Nevertheless, Basis Neuro team has sufficient expertise and experience to support
projects that involve integration of sensors into already used headsets (for example,
VR helmets or headsets for air traffic controllers).

Security

One of the top priorities of Basis Neuro is providing security for end-users and
platform developers.

Algorithms for decoding mental commands and the database of mental patterns are
verified by scientific research and publications and proved by practical applications in
various device prototypes.

Based on the existing neural interface the Basis Neuro team will develop facilities for the
BCI mass production and marketing, as well as the manufacture and legacy support of the
ToolKit for Basis Neuro platform users. To launch mass production requires the investments
of $7.5 million that will cover creating a production line, debugging the production process,
training staff, promoting and marketing the finished product.

The advantage of Basis Neuro is that the features of the neural interface have already been
developed and are ready for mass production, since all research studies have been carried
out. The launch of mass production is a large-scale project but due to cost optimization at
the initial stage, the amount of investment required is lower than the average in creating
similar high-tech devices.

43
For example, to develop and launch mass production of BCI devices required the following
investments by:

Jowbone Oculus Rift Pebble

$165 mln $75 mln $73 mln totally

Fitness tracker VR headset Smartwatch
