Final Term Performance Task #1

“Spiritual Self”

1. Enumerate some of your religious teachings and practices.

 One of the religious teachings that has been taught to me
is to love our brothers and sisters, in other words, we
should love one another. Love our neighbors, families,
friends. Our belief in God the Father, Jesus Christ as the
Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. We should treat others as
you would want to be treated yourself.

2. Explain how these teachings and practices help you in

cultivating your spiritual self?
 The teachings and practices I have mentioned helped me
in cultivating my spiritual self because it creates an ethical
framework and also a regulator for values in my day to
day life. It helped me build my character to become a
better person and it helped me also in building values like
love, empathy, respect, and harmony to my brothers and
sisters.

3. From 1 to 10, how do you rate your spiritual life as of the

moment? Justify your rating.
 Honestly, I would rate my spiritual life as of the moment
with 7. I was baptized Catholic. I believe in God, Jesus
Christ and heaven & hell. I know the important Bible
stories and the commandments, as well as how to be a
good person. However, I’m not perfect person. I also
make mistakes. I occasionally visit our church because I
have many works to do that needed to be passed on that

certain day and I felt bad to myself for not visiting the
church because the mass is only held once in a week.
The worst thing I have done is that I sometimes talk back
at my parents, to my sister and to my younger brother
because of my anger and hatred and I didn’t realize that I
did a terrible mistake for talking back at them. I regretted
everything I have done. That’s why I keep praying to God
that I hope the hatred and anger inside me will fade away
and hope they will forgive me. I always thank God for all
the everyday blessing we have received, the good health,
our safety, and for his guidance that he gave to my family.
