Market:

We will sell to : Health Conscious Individuals, other consumers and other


stakeholders in the province Tarlac and other neighboring
places

Competitors : Producers of organic vegetable products which have


established their connections and linkages to buyers

Product Promotion Scheme : The price of organic vegetable are much more expensive
than the inorganic vegetable and that many consumers are
now health conscious. This increased cost results from the
increased production costs associated with producing
organic foods. Inorganic Foods use synthetics during the
production process. These synthetics commonly include
chemical fertilizers and pesticides. I can promote the
product through the use of social media since we have a
crisis that we are facing right now.
Business Operation:

a. Production Plan for one year (schedule and quantities)

Vegetable production in the Philippines is highly seasonal, with the bulk of


production of different vegetables. There are five (5) production cycles in a year. A total
of 150 bags @ 50 kilograms of different vegetables that can be produced per cycle and
there is 20% of increase in every season.

b. Project staff and their respective duties


Worker and owner shall be subject to preparation sessions and will ultimately act
as their guide for project execution in order to promote and optimize service.

Business Opportunities and Challenges:

The business opportunities and benefits (positive features) that this project can offer are
as follows:

1. Reduced chemical residues in food and the environment

2. Potential for cooperative rural and regional development

3. Provision of ecological services, such as crop protection, yield stability and system
resilience

4. Indigenous knowledge is valued

5. Few strongly negative environmental impacts

The Business Risk Challenges are as follows


1. This project may be affected by natural calamities and could be attacked by insect
pests, other vertebrates and diseases
2. Competition with other producers of organic vegetable is a challenge in marketing

What Fresh start best practices that really inspire me to considered establish the business are:

1. Fresh Start Organics continues to expand while maintaining the company vision of being
a vibrant eco-enterprise that implements ecologically, socially and economically sound
practices in organic agriculture.
2. They Quantify Healthy Soil.
3. They encourage biodiversity and rely on building and maintaining healthy rich and fertile
soils to grow our crops, and they use certified organic fertilizer, compost, vermi-tea,
worm castings, and indigenous beneficial microorganisms to enrich the soil and increase
"organic matter"
4. They use natural farming botanicals and attractants for pest control as well as
incorporating the practices of crop rotation, green manuring, companion planting and
cover crops
5. Lastly their principles that natural, sustainable methods can produce healthy, rich and
fertile soil. This soil, in turn, will produce nutrient-filled, healthy crops, which in turn leads
to healthy animals and healthy people
