Project Description/Proposal idea :

Rationale

The Skills Training (ST) is a capacity building grant given to eligible SLP participants to enhance
their skills for higher productivity and profitability. It provides the participants the knowledge and skills
necessary to be able to establish (or enhance) and manage their sustainable microenterprise/s, which
should provide a stable source of income.

Through the process of community consultation, the participants identified the need for training on
Chicken egg production, management, production costs and profits, constraints and potential
interventions for their market-driven and resource-based micro-enterprise.

Objectives

By the end of the project, the following objectives should be met.

General Objective: To improve the socio-economic capacity of the program participants through the
provision of skills training for microenterprise development

Specific Objectives:
- To equip the participants with the new knowledge and skills necessary for enterprise
establishment (or enhancement), operations, and management (human capital)
- To provide the basic knowledge on Chicken Egg Production, starter kits and training materials
necessary for the operations of the microenterprise (physical and / or natural capital).

Conduct of Training UNIFEEDS 1 day training on Chicken egg production,

Provision of Starter DSWD To allow the participants to apply their newly

Establishment / DSWD, The DSWD, UNIFEEDS and LGU shall assist the
Enhancement of the UNIFEEDS and participants in the establishment / enhancement of the
Microenterprise/s LGU microenterprise/s, ensuring that the knowledge and
skills gained and starter kits received are fully utilized
and incorporated into the operations of the
microenterprise.

Microenterprise Plan/s, discussing the particulars of
the microenterprise/s.

Business DSWD and LGU The DSWD and LGU shall assist the participants in

for the microenterprise should also be acquired,
through the guidance of the DSWD and LGU.

Continuous DSWD and LGU The DSWD and LGU shall assist the participants in

can provide additional support to the
microenterprise/s.

Monitoring, DSWD and LGU The DSWD and LGU shall conduct periodic
Reporting, and monitoring of the project participants and their
Evaluation microenterprise/s, in accordance with the existing
monitoring and reporting system and guidelines of
the Sustainable Livelihood Program. Key findings
shall serve as basis for the coaching and mentoring
provided to the participants.
