My primary leadership skill that helps me be a great leader is that I am a great active listener.

By

engaging in active listening withing my team I will be able to resolve any issues that will arise by

concentrating on listening to the problem and then evaluating the problem and responding with a

solution to the problem for them team member. Another leadership skill that will help me

leading me team would be great communication skill! I can communicate my vision of what I

would like and listen to the team members ideas to make that vision even better!

While leading is important it is also ideal that a leader can be comfortable in a follower’s role.

This increases the likelihood of the leader being a team player. A work environment where the

leader is also a team player makes for a great day at work. This opens communication between

leaders and followers to make the whole business run better. Also, followers are necessary to run

the company. Without followers we would not have teams! By leaders taking on a follower role

and allowing a team member take on the leadership role it enables the team member to learn

more and grow further as an employee and team member.

My leadership style is democratic or participative leadership. I like to encourage my team

members to take express their ideas help make the company decisions. This style helps include

every team member to be a part of the decision-making process within the company. Taking into

consideration everyone that is a part of our company is affected by how we choose to run the

company the team members should have their opinions heard and taken int affect when making

company decisions.

Overall, I am a leader that includes the team in making company decisions. I love to be able to

communicate with my team of what I want, and they come up with ideas to make the vision

happen and usually make the vision even better than I had visioned! Being a leader that is also a
team player makes people want to go to work because they know their opinion is heard and taken

into account on making the day-to-day operation of the company.
