Plants also need sunshine and soil to survive. And lastly all biotic, like
plants and animal need land to step on and live in.

III.
 The cactus wren and cactus show commensalism because By
building its nest around the cactus and protecting its young, the
cactus wren profits from the cactus. And the cactus is in no way
disturbed or damaged.
 Desert mistletoe and the desert willow tree show parasitism
because While the mistletoe is rising, the willow tree gains
nutrients from the mistletoe. Although the mistletoe profits, the
willow tree will die because it lacks nutrients from this process.
 The phainopepla and desert mistletoe shows mutualism because
By extracting energy from this food, the bird, phainopepla, eats
the mistletoe berries and benefits. Phainopepla benefits the
desert mistletoe when it drops its seeds to the ground, allowing
the seed of the mistletoe tree to grow.
 The Desert Coyote and the Sidewinder Rattle snake show

competition because both of the animals fight over food, such as

the Pocket Mouse. They also fight over water, since water is very
scarce in the desert.
