CREATIVE NON FICTION

Quarter 3 Module 3 (2nd Semester)

Pre-test:

March 16, 2020, during the Pandemic Jenny was diagnosed with lung problem or Tuberculosis. It
was really hard for her. She cannot stand or even sit for a long time. She always experienced back
pain. She always vomit, she always think that she can handle her situation anymore, her parents
decided to skip grade 11 for this year. She always felt supine, she cannot eat well. She is always
lying on her bed waiting for the day to end.

Every morning she take 2 big tablets as a medicine. Then, she go outside to have some sun with
her mom. Jenny was so skinny. She always eat fruits and vegetable but her body cannot handle the
foods and she always spit it. Jenny was really tired. After 7 months of continous medication, Jenny
recovered from her illness. She super skinny jenny returned from being normal. She can do
exercises but not the vigorous activities. She can now eat anything she wanted. She can do
bicycling. And her parents decided to enroll her as a grade 11 student this year. She is now healthy.
And her bright smile returned.

LEARNING ACTIVITY #1
1. Creative Writing is a form of writing which is written with the creativity of our mind. Its aim is
always to communicate something, whether it be desires, opinions, or perceptions. Creative
writing is created to encourage or teach people, to spread knowledge about something or to
express ones personal emotions, rather than just presenting knowledge or compelling the audience
to perform an effort helpful to the author. The example of creative writing is fiction, poetry writing
and many more.

Creative Non Fiction is a form of writing which is only focused on the story, meaning it is based
in truth or real life experiences of the writer. The example of creative non fiction is journals,
personal essay, memoir or articles. Its goal is to communicate the information to the audiences or
readers.

In short the difference between the two is that creative non fiction is based on facts, and it is
objective while the creative writing is subjective.

LEARNING ACTIVITY #2.

In a matter of fact I prefer to write any of the two because it always depends with my mood.
Sometimes I prefer writing fictional stories becaused I used to read fictional stories from books,
facebook pages and other websites. I also like creative writing because I enjoy poetry writing. I
also like to write creative non fiction because it is not really hard to write because it is based in my
personal experiences. I enjoyed writing in my journals about my day, about my habits or anything.
