"drug, poison" and -λογία, -logia "study of", "knowledge of ”.

Terms in Pharmacology
Therapeutic effect (Efek terapetik): the primary effect intended that is the
reason the drug is prescribed.

Side effect (Efek samping): secondary effect of the drug is one that
unintended, side effects are usually predictable and may be either harmful or
harmless.

Pharmacogenomics (Farmakogenomik): the relation of the individual’s

genetic makeup to his or her response to specific drugs.

Systems Pharmacology (Farmakologi Sistem): the application of systems

biology principles to the field of pharmacology. It seeks to understand how
drugs affect the human body as a single complex biological system.
