1) In the era of modern banking, bankers are much more than persons who merely
accept deposits and collect credit. There are many other forms of financial business
other than banking which deal in money and credit.

With reference to the above statement, critically discuss nature and legal
relationship between banker and customer. (10 marks)

2) In Malaysia, the term ‘garnishee proceedings’ is still retained and these

proceedings are governed by Order 49 of the Rules of Court 2012. Explain the
meaning and procedure of Garnishee Order from banking law perspective. (10
marks)

3) Explain the meaning and procedure of joint-account and the effects of

survivorship clause in joint account. (10 marks)

GROUP ASSIGNMENT 2 (20%) (CLO 3)

1) Discuss and compare the history and development of conventional and Islamic
banking system in Malaysia. (10 mark)

2) Select ONE (1) of the Islamic Banking products, explain and compare its operation
with a conventional product. (10 marks)
