Peanut Butter Smoothie
With Lions Mane
Well it seems that peanut butter has made a comeback and Im not mad about it.
Its the perfect partner for chocolate and makes a chocolate smoothie pretty damn
next level. This smoothie blends the magick of frozen bananas ( who would have
thought they would replace icecream) with the power of raw cacao and the
mystical brain and mood boosting powers of our potent Lions Mane Extract.
Makes the perfect breakfast, snack or dessert

RECIPE - MAKES 2 SERVES


1/4 cup smooth peanut butter Put all the ingredients into a
2 frozen bananas high speed blender and blend
1/2 cup oat mylk on high until liquid. It will be a
1/2 cup coconut yogurt nice and thick texture so can
2 Tbsn cocoa powder be made into a smoothie bowl
1 tspn chia seeds as well.
1 tspn MDPP Lions Mane
Tropical Kava Shot
With Reishi
Oh kava , a strong skeletal muscle relaxant, anxiolytic and analgesic - it really is a
powerful herb for the tense and worried. Pity it tastes like it comes from the fiery
pits of peppery hell. This tropical shot almost covers up the taste of the kava and
provides the anti-inflammatory and warming benefits of ginger and turmeric and
utilizes the calming adaptogenic qualities of the lovely fungi - reishi. To get the
most out of this shot it is best served as a small shot which is drunk quickly before
waiting to see effects before having another.

RECIPE
1 cup water Mix the kava and water together
1 Tbsn Instant Kava ( I use until it dissolves. Add this into the
Kava Society) blender with the other
Thumb sized piece of ginger ingredients and blend on high
& turmeric until liquefied.
Large slice of pineapple
2 Tbsn passionfruit pulp
1 teaspoon MDPP Reishi
Mocha Greens Smoothie
With Cordyceps
There really is nothing better than coffee in the morning. Well maybe tag teaming
that coffee with a decent whack of greens , chocolate and the energizing
adaptogenic fungi - cordyceps might be better? This is the perfect start to the day
for the coffee, smoothie and shrooms fanatic.

RECIPE - MAKES 2 SERVES


2 large handfuls of greens Blend together the greens, coffee and
1 cup of plant mylk mylk until completely liquified.
2 shots of coffee at room Add in the other ingredients except
temperature the coconut yoghurt and blend.
1 frozen banana To serve, drizzle the coconut yoghurt
2 tbsn of cacao onto the inside of the glasses and
1 tspn MDPP Cordyceps then pour the smoothie into the glass.
1/2 cup coconut yoghurt Top with cacao nibs and powder.
Quick Switchel
With Chaga
Switchel is a traditional American thirst quenching drink consisting of ginger, maple,
apple cider vinegar and water. It was the OG gatorade for folks who worked in the
fields baling hay! You can make a concentrate by infusing chopped up ginger and
maple in apple cider vinegar for a few weeks but this is a quick and easy option using
ginger juice. I have blended in our favourite mineral and antioxidant rich mushroom -
chaga in this blend for extra energy and recovery.

RECIPE - SERVES 4
10cm piece fresh ginger - juiced Juice ginger
½ cup apple cider vinegar Combine ginger juice, vinegar,
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup maple syrup, chaga and lemon
1 tablespoon lemon juice juice in a large jug and stir until
2 tspn MDPP Chaga maple syrup is dissolved.
4 cups soda water To serve, dilute with soda water
Lemon balm or Verbena sprigs (for and pour switchel into ice-filled
serving) glasses; garnish with lemon and
lemon verbena or lemon balm.
Strawberry Smoothie
With Ashwagandha
Oh ashwagandha. It is the herb I reach for in times of strife. When everything
feels a bit hard, when I am tired but sleepless, when I need a hug but feel
irritated. Its the great balancer. It is also a close ally to rose, the great heart
opener and spirit hugger. This smoothie is a lovely, light and fragrant drink
which utilizes the great NZ summer harvest of strawberries.

RECIPE - SERVES 2
1 teaspoon rose elixir
Blend all ingredients
(or rosewater or just petals)
together and serve. If you
1 tspn MDPP Ashwagandha
want a thicker smoothie -
1 teaspoon vanilla
add some chia seeds when
1 cup chopped strawberries
blending
1 tbsn maple syrup
1 1/2 cup oat or coconut milk
Yerba Mate Iced Tea
With Lions Mane
Mate is a beautiful and both mentally and physically stimulating herb which
makes a welcome health giving substitute for tea . This iced tea blends a strong
brew of yerba mate tea with rosemary for remembrance ( and memory!) and
the nootropic fungi - Lions Mane to make a lovely brain boosting, thirst
quenching tipple for those long summer days.

RECIPE - MAKES 2 CUPS


500ml hot water Pour hot water over mate, cover
2 tspn mate leaves and let steep. Cool tea.
2 sprigs rosemary Sieve cooled tea into blender with a
1 tspn MDPP Lions Mane couple of rosemary leaves , the
2 tspn maple syrup lions mane and maple and blend.
Ice & lemon for serving To serve, pour over ice and add
lemon and use rosemary sprigs as
twizzle sticks.
Magick Smoothie
With Mistys Magick Cocoa
Smoothies can be a good option for those who arent that enthused with a
heavy breakfast or as a mid morning snack. This smoothie is a chocolate dream
and contains a multitude of adaptogens and tonic herbs to support whole body
health. You can add greens, protein powder and hemp seed oil as well if you
wish.

RECIPE - SERVES TWO


2 frozen bananas
2 cups oat mylk
2 level tablespoon MDPP Magick Cocoa
2 tspn hemp seeds
1 tspn vanilla
1/2 tspn of cinnamon
Put all ingredients into high speed blender and blend until smooth.
Bullet Proof Coffee
With Lions Mane
In small amounts, coffee can be a quick and easy brain boost. Bulletproof
coffee is often touted as a good way to prolong the positive cognitive benefits
of caffeine while negating the negative. Lions mane is a perfect addition to
coffee as it has documented benefits for cognition, focus and concentration.

RECIPE - SERVES ONE


1 cup of espresso coffee Put all ingredients into high
1 tspn MCT oil speed blender and blend until
1 tspn MDPP Lions Mane frothy
1/2 tspn vanilla essence Sweeten with monk fruit and
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon serve hot with extra cinnamon on
top.
Mugwort Latte
With Reishi
Mugwort is an ancient women's herb, a dreamers herb and a bitter herbal ally for
the digestive system. This latte is intended as a sweet and dreamy sleep
concoction. Not only supporting a deep sleep but also blurring the barrier
between waking life and the subconscious. Think prophetic and lucid dreams... I
have teamed it here with reishi, which has a similar bitter taste while also being
renowned as the bridge between heaven and earth.

Put the mugwort leaves and water into a

blender. Blend. Put into a saucepan and
1/2 cup of fresh mugwort
simmer for 5 - 10 minutes. Strain out the
1 cup of water mugwort leaves and return liquid to pot.
1 cup sugar ( yes, I know) Add in the sugar, stir together, bring to a
1 teaspoon MDPP Reishi boil. Add in the cinnamon and reishi and
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon then take off the heat.
1 1/2 cups of oat mylk Dilute 1/4 c mugwort syrup with a similar
amount of hot water.
DO NOT USE MUGWORT IF PREGNANT Froth mylk, spoon froth over mugwort and
SYRUP WILL KEEP IN FRIDGE FOR A
WEEK OR MORE
then pour mylk over froth to fill
Earl Grey & Orange Latte
With Shroom Squad
Ahh, if there is one tea I love, it is Earl Grey. That citrus flavour of bergamot
alongside the tea is so fresh and life affirming! I love the idea of a tea latte so this
one is a lovely little blend of Earl Grey alongside the last of the winters oranges
with a teaspoon of Shroom Squad - our 5 mushroom all rounder blend to give you
a whole system boost. This is not just an ordinary cup of tea and is sure to impress.

RECIPE - SERVES 2
1 cup water Make a strong brew of tea.
1 Earl Grey tea bag Leave to steep and then stir in
1 tbsp maple syrup the the other ingredients.
2 cups oat mylk except for the mylk
Juice of 1/2 orange Pour the tea into two cups
1 tspn MDPP Shroom Squad Froth the mylk and pour over
the tea.
Calm Herb Tea
With Reishi
I have a wee garden I call my "calm the f*ck down garden. It contains my three
favourite calm herbs - California poppy, chamomile and the lovely lemon balm.
These herbs are not only easy to grow but also make beautiful fresh herb teas!
This calming tea is simply a few fresh sprigs of california poppy, a couple of
chamomile flowers and some lemon balm leaves made into a tea. I have added
the calming reishi as it resonates with these other three herbs and makes one
almost unflappable.

RECIPE - SERVES TWO


A small handful of chamomile, lemon balm & California poppy
2 cups hot water
1 teaspoon MDPP Reishi Extract
Maple to sweeten
Pour hot water over the herbs and cover. Let infuse for 4 minutes.
Strain, mix in the reishi and maple and have a wee sit down.
Lavender Iced Tea
With Butterfly Pea Flower
Oh lavender! As a child of the eighties, it took me a long time to be able to get
over the floral taste of this lovely calming flower. It always tasted like I was
drinking those pot pouri drawer fresheners! Im over that now and love the heady,
intense flavour of lavender and of course love its calming actions which wash
over you with its scent. It makes a beautiful calming afternoon mocktail when
blended with the colour changing chameleon flower - butterfly pea and the
calming fungi reishi. The syrup can be kept for a week in the fridge

RECIPE
1/2 cup of fresh lavender Put the lavender and butterfly pea into
1 teaspoon MDPP Butterfly Pea a saucepan and simmer for 5 - 10
1 teaspoon MDPP Reishi minutes. Strain out the lavender and
1 cup of water return liquid to pot. Add in the sugar,
1 cup sugar ( yes, I know) stir together, bring to a boil. Add in the
Soda water & lemon & flowers reishi and then take off the heat.
to serve To serve -add 1/4 cup of syrup to a
glass and add ice, soda, lemon and
blooms!
Matcha Coconut Latte
With Cordyceps
Matcha has certainly had its time in the sun lately. Its not really surprising - it
has a fresh taste and pretty colour and provides a calm focused energy that
coffee can only dream about. It makes a perfect companion for cordyceps as
they both support healthy energy and focus. I have teamed it here in a
luxurious and creamy latte with coconut and vanilla.

INGREDIENTS Put matcha, hot water , maple,


1 Tbsn coconut oil coconut oil, vanilla and cordyceps
2 tspn matcha powder into blender and blend until
1 tspn maple syrup combined.
1 Tbsn vanilla extract Pour matcha mix into two cups
1 cup hot water Froth mylk and spoon 3-4
1 tspn MDPP Cordyceps tablespoons of froth over matcha
1.5 cups coconut mylk mix then pour over the rest of the
mylk
Vienna Coffee
With Shroom Squad
II love coffee. Its probably in my top three of things I couldn't live without. Its
usually a pretty utilitarian mushroomy espresso for me but sometimes I like to
get a bit fancy ( and 80s) with this Vienna Mushroom Coffee! Its the perfect
morning tea option to whip out for your friends with a couple of scones and
some good chats. I have utilised the magick of Shroom Squad in this one , its
the best all rounder for full body support!

INGREDIENTS INGREDIENTS
2 cups of espresso coffee Make coffee and stir in the Shroom
1 tspn MDPP Shroom Squad Squad, vanilla and cinnamon
1/2 tspn vanilla essence Whip your coconut cream ( leave a can
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon overnight in the fridge and then whip
Coconut cream -whipped the solid component as you would
cream)
Spoon the cream onto the coffee and
top with cinnamon.
Dandelion Ginger Latte
With Chaga
I collected dandelion roots in Autumn and roasted them and still have some coming
into summer! They are highly nutritive while also being a liver and digestive
tonic and make an amazing coffee substitute! You can always get premade
dandelion coffee but there is something so nice about making your own. I have
blended here with the gut calming, restorative and highly nutritive fungi, chaga.

RECIPE - SERVES 2 Put the dandelion root, ginger and


4 tbsp roasted dandelion root hot water in a french press and brew.
3cm sliced up ginger Pour the brewed dandelion, coconut
3 cup hot water oil, dates, chaga and spices in a
1 cup coconut milk blender and blend together.
2 tsp coconut oil Pour the dandelion blend in two
3 pitted dates cups.
1.5 tsp MDPP Chaga Froth coconut mylk and pour over the
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon dandelion blend.
