“Sometimes in life, whoever we consider to be good, they

often have a bad conscience, and whoever we think is bad, they
are really those who have a good conscience ”.
The character in Greek Mythology that I really liked was
Medusa. Before Medusa changes into a monster, she had smooth,
darkish skin, with big clear hazel eyes and dread locked hair. She
was the most beautiful person in Greece. After she has been
cursed by Athena because of Athena jealousness, Medusa turned
into a gorgon, with green skin and snakes for hair. In the Percy
Jackson movies, Medusa has 30 heads. Her eyes are green. She
also got two long sharp teeth in the front. She wore Greek rebes
and after she was cursed, she would wear a veil to cover her face
with snake belt. Based on my research about Medusa, I’ve found
out that her name means "guardian" or "protectness". Medusa
represents a lot of things. But she would mostly represent
vainness, women's rage, or jealously. Vainness means excessively
proud of or concerned about one's own appearance, qualities and
achievements. Since Medusa was a woman she would represent
women rage meaning violent uncontrolled anger because she
would turn men to stone. She would feel jealous because she was
different. Most people think that Medusa was a ugly and evil,
merciless, and a cold-hearted monster. She was not always this
way. As what I have mentioned above, before Medusa being
cursed by Athena, she was a kind of woman who is dedicated,
loving, obedient, genuine and had a pure heart and intention to
the one she idolized since she was a child, which is Athena the
fierce and ruthless battle-Goddess also the Goddess of Wisdom
and War. That is why I’d rather choose Medusa as one of the
character in Greek Mythology that I really liked.

"Not all protectors will going to protect you".
The character in Greek Mythology that I didn’t like was
Hera(Juno). Hera is the goddess of women, marriage, family and
childbirth in ancient Greek religion and mythology, one of the
Twelve Olympians and the sister and wife of Zeus. Hera rules over
Mount Olympus as queen of the gods. A matronly figure, Hera
served as both the patroness and protectress of married women,
presiding over weddings and blessing marital unions. One of
Hera's defining characteristics is her jealous and vengeful nature
against Zeus' numerous lovers and illegitimate offspring, as well
as the mortals who cross her. Despite of being a protectress,
because of her character as a jealous wife towards to other
woman of her husband Zeus, Hera did a lot of things just to
revenge the other woman of her husband even if she needs to do
bad things like trying to prevent the birth of Heracles by her
mother Alcmene from occurring by having Eileithyia (the Greek
equivalent of Lucina), tie Alcmene's legs in knots. Her attempt was
foiled when Galanthis frightened Eileithyia while she was tying
Alcmene's legs and Heracles was born. Hera thus punishes
Galanthis by turning her into a weasel. Heracles strangling the
snakes sent by Hera. It means that Hera did not stop to revenge
to Alcmene and especially to his son, Heracles. Hera’s heart full of
jealousy and revenge inappropriate to her character as a Goddess
of women, marriage, family and most especially childbirth. These
are the reason why I didn’t like the character of Hera in Greek
Mythology although she served as both the patroness and
protectress. She still possess a good character but maybe because
of her love for her husband/brother Zeus, she can do anything just
to protect her marriage and family.
