Customer reported that 110-2780 Final Drive (RH OR LH ?) hesitate. There was found that -
metal particles embeded on the magnetic plug.
ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON
THE CAUSE OF FAILURE ?
Suspected this problem was caused by the Bearing preload, that having enlarge clearance after
5210 hours operation. Before disassembly, checked the end play of the carrier to the shaft was found + .003" to
.004", while the spec. is .003" to .002". It was to cause the Bearings become move / not alignment and damaged.
