What are the factors of a good friend?

- Support:
+ A true friend is a mindful listener, giving you confidence, encouraging you to
pursue what you want in life. They give advice without judging. However, they
will also be the ones who will not hesitate to speak out their own opinion,
point you out if you’re wrong. They will always be there for you not only on
your high but even when you’re on your low.
- Forgiveness:
+ What is the difference between a friend and an enemy? It's forgiveness.
Being a good friend doesn't mean the two of you never fight. Far from it. In
the process of getting to know each other, having conflict is inevitable.
However, no matter how big or how intense the argument could be, true
friends stay and together they resolve it eventually. Whenever we overcome
hardship, we inadvertently make the bond become stronger.
- Mutual interest:
+ The two of you probably clicked over some mutual interest, and despite your
differences, those mutual interests are a big part of your relationship. Friends
geek out over the same TV shows and comics and bands, pursue the same
activities together, and/or have the same likes and wants and hobbies.
-> And that is what I think how enduring and long-lasting friendship should be
defined.

How do people make friends?

Making friends sometimes can be awkward, but you shouldn't be shy. Remember that every
relationship needs time and shared moments to nourish, so just take your time, open
yourself to them, make a first good impression and be creative with what you do. Speak little
but make every word golden, be spontaneous, and encourage. Just be yourself and
eventually you'll find a good friend.

Besides, friendship has positive and negative effects in life. If we have good friends, they
make us a happier and worthy life. In contrast, they may ruin our life if we choose bad
friends. So these are the signs of bad friends.

What are the signs of bad friends?

- Take advantage of you when they can

+ Friendship is based on a give-and-take relationship. Bad friends take
advantage of your naivete.
- Act carefree when you're in trouble
+ When you're in trouble, those people only mind their own business, they don't
even try to find a way to help you and don't care how bad you feel that means
they aren't good friends.
- Unforgiveness
+ They always remember your fault, keep talking about it and sometimes
seek revenge on you.

Do we need friends in life?

It depends on your definition of friends and your situation. Personally I do have a good time
being by myself when I am alone. Sometimes I am with people who although not best friends
but in the end we get along well. The presence of having someone you like, to share
moments with them even makes it better. But good friends do not come in handy most of the
time, so we need to choose them wisely.
