Discussion and conclusion

3.1. Discussion and conclusion

The study and topic of the research is to study the impact of Pay Satisfaction and
Satisfaction from Supervisor on overall Job Satisfaction. The employees’ Satisfaction
from their Jobs is very important for the organizations. They cannot avoid this
importance for the positive attitude, performance and production of the employees.
Satisfied and happier workers are more modern and imaginative and more fruitful for the
organizations. Organizations need to identify the factors that influence the overall Job
Satisfaction of the employees. They have to take care of the employees well being and
safety and ensure better work environment. If the Supervisors give good supervision and
communicate the tasks clearly, encourage the employees to be innovative and
imaginative, concern about the better careers of the employees, give positive feedback
and solve their problems. This will ensure better work environment and increased
performance level of the employees and so the overall Job Satisfaction of the employees.
I have selected only bank employees to know that whether there is impact of Pay
Satisfaction and Satisfaction from Supervisor on the overall Job Satisfaction. Banks are
considered to be the only well established and modern organizations in Pakistan and they
are more innovative and modern in their approach. So for that reason I always wanted to
know the Job Satisfaction of bank employees.
As the literature suggest and tells that there is positive relationship of Pay Satisfaction
and Satisfaction from Supervisor on overall Job Satisfaction. Therefore organizations
should be able to know their employees needs. If the employees are satisfied they tend to
produce positive Job performance.
Thus the alternate hypothesis that i developed has been accepted according to the results
of the data. Which shows that the null hypothesis (H o) that i developed for rejection has
been rejected in this case and the alternate hypothesis H1 has been accepted. That means
there is positive relationship between the dependent and independent variables.
Chapter-6 Discussion and Conclusion

The results show that there is positive correlation of both the variables on the overall Job
27
Satisfaction. If the employees are satisfied from their Supervisors and Pays they will
surely be satisfied from their Jobs.
Banks are able to provide employment opportunities and career enhancement
opportunities to the younger generation as they tend to be clear, faster and innovative.
Their products and services have been more attractive to attract and retain customers.
According to the results the positive relationship shows that Pay Satisfaction has been
directly related to the overall Job Satisfaction. Companies have to Pay the employees
according to their Job nature and skills of the employees. If the company’s Pay structure
is encouraging for the employees, it will automatically have a positive impact on the
performance and dedication of the employees. The employees will work for the enhanced
output of the organizations. Pay structure also includes the benefits that the company
gives to the employees.

Similarly Satisfaction from the Supervisor plays an important role in the total Job
Satisfaction of the employees. According to the results it is positively correlated with the
overall Job Satisfaction. Supervisors should give clear tasks and help the employees to
get their problems solved and set clear goals for them. They should also be concerned
about the promotion opportunities of their employees and give credit to their new ideas.
They should provide a sophisticated work environment which encourages the workers to
feel freedom and interest in their Jobs.
It is also important for the workers to work sincerely for the betterment of the
organization if they know that the company is providing them good supervision,
opportunities, and salary.
There are many other factors than Pay Satisfaction and Satisfaction from Supervisor that
has influence on employees’ Job Satisfaction but these are the two factors that play major
role in Job Satisfaction of employees in Pakistan. Employees want to be paid more than
what their position and skills offer. Banks are providing better facilities and working
environment to the employees as well as to the customers. According to my overall
results most of the Bank employees of banks in Peshawar region are satisfied from their
Jobs.

3.2. Recommendations
There are other factors that influence the overall Job Satisfaction of employees so the
impact of those factors on the overall Job Satisfaction can be studied further. There are
factors that influence the Satisfaction from Supervisors so these factors can also be
studied to better understand those factors. Age, gender, geographic location, working
environment and the work itself are the further variables that can further be studied to
know the impact of these factors on the overall Job Satisfaction.

3.3 Limitations
The research was conducted in Peshawar because of limited resources and as student and
there was limited response from the respondents. This makes the research limited to only
one twenty five questionnaires. The main reason was that bank employees tend to be
busier in their Jobs so they were reluctant to fill all the questions in the questionnaires but
only they filled one twenty five. Much of the respondents spent a favorable time solving
the questionnaire but some may be filled in a rush due to their tough Job expectations.
The time was limited and I could not observe and interview all the employees. I had to
personally go to each bank and get the relevant data but I was not able to observe and
interview all of them.
