Day 13: Worship that pleases God

God may not be physically around us, but he acts and moves like us – but in a more

superior way. The thirteenth day reflection has been all about God’s Pleasure. Just like any

other being, He has also something in desire. God wants all of us. We were planned for God’s

pleasure. We were made because God has planned and like it. Therefore, we must act to repay

what he has done and made for us.

By simply worshipping Him, we can already satisfy His yearn for us. Worshipping may

be in two forms: Public and Private worshipping. Either of the two would be enough, but which

is better? Which is more pleasing to God? Private or Public worshipping?

On my preference, I’d rather choose private worshipping than public worshipping. In

all honesty, I am an introvert person who usually finds it difficult to express her feelings and

motives accurately. To me, when I do something very important, worshipping for instance, I

want it to be just between me and God. I want it to be private because it would be easier to

communicate with God. I can easily share to Him what I wanted to say without excluding the

gist of my ideas without being criticized and offended by others.

After all, what matters most is our outmost will and passion for God. We don’t worship

Him because that’s what the public wants us to do, but instead, we worship Him because we

want it and because He is God.
