Intro to Marriage & Family

Family is vital towards everyone’s development, A family may indicate what you can be
and also, the values that cultivated inside one’s family may predict what your relationship
will be towards other people in the society. If one grows in a toxic and damaging family it
can create wounds inside a child that can really be a big factor on his development as a
person. With this in mind, parent should make their house a home that will cater and
enrich the life of their child, because though the family is the smallest unit in the society,
it is one of the crucial training grounds in one’s life that if one parent fails to prepare their
child for the life in the society it can affect the life in the society.

One of the influenced that my family impart to me is their sense of being economical. We
know that being economical in these days are a great advantage and an essential skill to
navigate in life in society. through this I am able to separate my needs from my wants, it
also helps me to save money for important purposes and also it empowers me to manage
my resources well in order to attain highest pleasure in everything I will purchase. The
next thing that my family impart to me is to value the things that I have. Valuing the things
that I have makes me grateful and it allows me to use those things with care in my hand,
that’s why for me it is true that if we value things that we have it will last. I think other
people should learn this attitude in order for them to become grateful and contented on
what they have. The next following thing that my family teach me is the art of being
independent. In our house they honor what decision you will take but they will intervene
if it will put you in danger. Therefore, from what I experience making decision will foster
the independency of individual it will strengthen their feet to stand the things that is in
front of them, it will make them wise and also it will teach them lessons that they can
impart to the next generation. Finally, the last thing that my family teach me is the art of
endurance and perseverance. My family go through a lot of things during my teenage
years we experienced having nothing; no bucks in our pocket and no food in the storage
but during that time it develops my perseverance and my endurance, it inspires me that I
will not let my future be like that but I will rise up from the mud and I will reach for my
dreams and for better life.

Hence, we can conclude that it is in the parent’s hand to mold and impart something to
their children, it can be negative or a positive thing and we must remember to teach our
child receive his or her experience, because training them to receive the experiences they
will encounter will be a crucial part in forming a person he or she could be. Also, it is the
hand of the parents to create an environment that is favorable for the growth of their
children that will develop their child cognitive, emotional and social aspect, doing this thing
will ensure the parents that they can impart a positive influence toward their children. Last
but not the least, in order for us to truly bring a positive impact towards our children we
should make sure that we are a good role model to them, because children learn through
observation and not on what you totally taught them so it is crucial to practice, to show
and to promote values that will be carry over by our children

We must remember that an empower child will be a glory and an honor to his father and
mother and also a weapon that will shatter the wrong things in the society so it is important
to empower and lead them while they are young.
