Data of a 60 kVA rated synchronous generator at 0.8 power factor is: 480-V , 60 Hz , Y-connected, four-poles and
synchronous reactance of 1.0 Ω per phase. Steam turbine capable of supplying up to 48 kW is connected to the
generator. The friction and windage losses are 3kW and the core losses are 2.5 kW .
