Stephen Hawking
Stephen William Hawking was born on January 8, 1942, in

Oxford. Although he was always among the lowest rated in the

class, he earned the nickname “Einstein” among his friends because

their interaction was close, possibly spurring his interest in science.

At 21 years of age, Hawking was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral

sclerosis (ALS). Despite the fact that doctors estimated that he

might not live more than two years, Hawking decided to continue his

scientific work. At 28 Hawking was considered one of the best

astrophysicists in the world and he was recognized as a great

savant by the whole word. I could say that he became an icon pop of

his era. He consolidated the Big Bang theory, verifying that the

universe could have arisen spontaneously. Due to pneumonia, in

1985 he lost his speech permanently, so he began to use a speech

synthesizer that he operated with his fingers. So, he compensated

his time by continuing his investigations and writing books. He

should On March 14, 2018, he passed away at his home in

Cambridge, aged 76. What Hawking did was increase our

understanding of what a black hole is. He had to explain his theory

through his mathematical theorems. I think people were very

anxious for him because he had not won any Nobel Prize, but

scientist considered that his theory should be proven.
