Processing of Expiry Date

If the STATUS of a document is Invalid, T24 would not default any Expiry Date; then User could
optionally input any date not less than Bank Date as its Expiry Date. However, when a Document is
initially created by T24 based on User response of YES to the T24 confirmation message “Have you
received ….”, then the Expiry Date of the Document would be updated by T24, irrespective of whether
the STATUS 1 of the created Document is defined as valid or invalid.

If a document is with a Valid STATUS, T24 would default the Expiry Date (Field END.DATE) of a
document (in CUST.DOCUMENT or TRANS.DOCUMENT), whenever the fields STATUS OR
STATUS.DATE or SIG.DATE is updated by the User.

The Expiry Date defaulted by T24 would be the least of:

1. Expiry Date calculated as per the validity period (Field: VALID.PEIOD) specified for the
STATUS in DOCUMENT.STATUS and
2. Expiry Date calculated as per the validity period (Field: VALID.PEIOD) specified for the
document type in DOCUMENT.TYPE.
