STEPS /PROCEDURES IN CREATING CARTOON CHARACTER

1. Start with basic lines and shapes then zoom in when you are working on the details.
2. After finalizing your rough sketch, create a new layer then lessen the capacity so that it is
easier to trace its outline.
3. For thicker lines maximize the opacity or the ability of the paint to prevent the color
underneath from showing through.
4. Use the eraser tool if you make a mistake.
5. Put colors on it. You can add several layers when coloring each portion of your drawing.
6. Each detail like face, skin, hair, clothes, and shoes can have its own layer.
7. Put these in one folder so you have an organized filing system.
8. Title save and print your work. You now have your own cartoon characters.

DIRECTIONS: Draw o character of your choice. It can be a character from your favorite movie
or your favorite superhero or your own cartoon character. Use any software you are comfortable
with to draw. Title, save, and print your work.
If a computer/laptop or software are not available, draw your favorite cartoon character in a
short bond paper using your pencil, marker, and crayons.
