STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The researchers aim to determine the effects of Pfizer BioNTech vaccine to Overseas Filipino Workers in
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This study seeks to determine the side effects that will came out after an individual
OFW got its second dose of vaccine, despite of its high efficacy rate against covid-19 it might have a
severe or moderate side effects in certain individuals. Based on Pfizer clinical trials the following are the
possible Side effects (fever, chills, tiredness, and headache) throughout the body were more common
after the second dose of the vaccine and Most of its side effects were mild to moderate. However, a
small number of people had severe side effects—defined as side effects affecting a person’s ability to do
daily activities. The study will address deeply the effects of vaccine and how individual should handle it
properly, this study will be address by statistical treatment and the data results that need by the
researchers in conducting this study. The effects were limited and classified as severe, moderate, and
mild. The researchers will only focus their attention to OFW’s in Saudi Arabia since these individuals are
prone to the virus and the possible Filipinos will first receive the vaccine made by Pfizer. The successful
of this study will be beneficial to the medical field and to the people across the world.
