Krishnamurti was a renowned 20th century philosopher and teacher. In his 1975 journal, he discusses how humans have imprisoned themselves with truths of their own creation and become too focused on materialism and "becoming." He contrasts this with the concept of "nothingness," which represents a state of freedom from thought, time, and knowledge. Only through experiencing nothingness can one understand the true nature of truth and gain clarity free from psychological conflicts caused by time-bound consciousness.

-Krishnamurti, India (From Krishnamurti’s Journal 1992, Krishnamurti Foundation, India)
Krishnamurti is known as one of the greatest thinkers
and religious teacher of all time. In his journal of 23rd April 1975, he opined that man has made himself prisoner of truths that he himself has created. He describes clear pictures of natural world such as the existence of all creatures from birds, trees to water that surrounds him. According to him, the early morning setting is a perfect moment for meditation. In this moment human being can achieve nothingness than knowledge. Then he explains ‘becoming’ and ‘nothingness’ as two different concepts. Human beings have corrupted, spoiled and failed to understand the true essence life because they has embraced becoming, achieving, and gaining material prosperity in life. In becoming, our mind and thought is controlled by human made culture, tradition, religion, time etc. What we consider truth is in fact our own construction and invention. However, truth exists there which is never invented. The so called truth is just the reflection of our unstable thought which we have nurtured and cultivated from the beginning. So, human beings life has become meaningless and unhappy. On the other hand, nothingness is not reality but it is a truth. In nothingness, there is absolute stability and clarity. Nothingness is a realm of complete freedom from thought, time, knowledge, becoming and everything that we accepted as truth. In order to understand truth, we have to experience nothingness. Similarly, in his journal of 24 th April 1975, he shows how human beings consider themselves superior to other creatures of the same world. Human beings have become too insensitive and indifferent to the life of other creatures because of their desire for material success. The time bound consciousness and thought makes our life full of conflicts and struggles which can be freed through regular meditation. Thought is born of experience and knowledge, which are inseparable from time and past. Time is the psychological enemy of human beings. Therefore, we need timeless insight and total negation to get the essence of positive. While there is negation of all those things that thought has brought about psychologically, only there is love, which is compassion and intelligence.
