Joseph pullitzer is a jurnalist that working in the mid-west and new york. He also the
owner or part owner of many newspapper. He is a strong supporter of the rights of the
working man. But in later life, he collased from overwork, and lost his sight. His most
significant contribution was the establishment of the pulitzer prizes in his will. The
prizes for excellence in journalism have been given every year since 1917 by columbia
univercity. The real value of the prize is that it confirm the journalist has received the
award the best American journalist of the year - a fact that is worth much more than
500 dollars to the journalist and to the newspapper that employs him or her.

C. What do you learn from the reading passage?

From the reading above, what we can learn is that we have to work hard and work
honestly, cause for it will benefit yourself and others. beside that, when we are down,
we must always be grateful.
