Christian Lopez—Mr. Lopez is an active educator, performer, and mu-
sic director throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He currently
serves as the Director of Music at Christian Brothers Academy in Lin-
croft, New Jersey as well as the Assistant Director for the Piscataway
High School Superchief Marching Band. A graduate of Penn State Uni-
versity, he holds a degree in Music Education with a Performer’s Recog-
nition Certificate in Percussion Performance. He regularly gigs as a per-
cussionist and music director in the NJ theater scene, as well as perform-
ing with groups such as the Garden State Jazz Orchestra, Plainfield Sym-
phony, the Raritan Valley Symphonic Band, and his band Honey Wild.

José Maunez – Mr. Maunez has been part of the Manalapan High School
faculty since 2004. During his tenure at Manalapan, he has been the director
of the Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Orchestra, Choir, Jazz Band and the
school's Pit Orchestra. During his time, the Manalapan music department has Alto Sax I Giovanna Limaldi Howell
received several awards and recognition such as The Count Basie Theater Alto Sax II Devin Gottlieb Colts Neck
Award for Outstanding Orchestra in a Musical (2008 & 2014). Mr. Maunez
also received Manalapan High School’s Teacher of the Year honor in 2013. Tenor Sax I Aldair Martinez Ocean

As a member of the All Shore Band Director’s Association, Mr. Maunez has
served the organization in several capacities (President, Vice-President,
Ensemble Manager, etc.). He conducted the All Shore Honor Jazz Bands in

2012 & 2013, and received the Band Director of the Year Award from the

As a performer, Mr. Maunez stays active in the freelance world. Trumpet III Kenechukwu Echezona Freehold Boro
His performances have included big band, orchestra, salsa band & chamber Trumpet IV Ethan Morris Ocean
music. He has been a soloist with the University of Central Florida Wind
Ensemble and Brass Ensemble, as well as the Rutgers Wind Ensemble and Trumpet V Gavin Campbell Toms River South
Jazz Band. Mr. Maunez has performed commercially for the Walt Disney
World Co., and played with such artists as Ray Charles, Arturo Sandoval,
Carl Fontana, Michael Mossman, Ralph Bowen, Jeff Rupert, Sean Jones, Trombone I Chukwudubem Echezona Freehold Boro
Tony Vega, Tito Nieves, La India among others. Mr. Maunez has played Trombone II Kyle Nichols Barnegat
internationally in Fukui Japan as well as in most all of the fifty states. He is
a founding member of Crescendo Brass and can be heard under the Mark Trombone III Agush Kasapi Colts Neck
recording label.

Mr. Maunez holds an Artist Diploma & Masters of Music degrees from Piano Miranda Lynch Point Pleasant Boro
Rutgers University. He also earned a BA from the University of Central
Florida. Mr. Maunez studied trombone with John Rojak, Michael Powell, Bass Francesco Di Lascia CBA
