Activity 1. Today, you will be meeting two of your colleagues, Mark and Louise. After
welcoming them you will let them know what the purpose of the meeting is. You will
then set the agenda. Finally, you will ask if they are happy with it. The topics to be
discussed in the meeting are:

1) Security in the building has reported a break-in attempt. What to do?

2) The new property has to be inspected in order to confirm its present condition.
3) There is a new intern. You need to discuss who he is going to work with.

Activity 2. You are in the middle of a meeting and the telephone rings. You cannot
interrupt the meeting at this point. Let the person on the phone you cannot talk now and
that you will call him at a later time. Attention: he might be an insisting person. Be polite
when saying that you cannot talk to him now!

Activity 3. You are chairing a meeting. All of the people are in a hurry, including you.
Let them know that you will make the meeting as short as possible. Inform them about
the purpose of the meeting and begin to discuss the first topic.
