● Returned result will be of the most precise type

Hashes

● Dictionary-like collection of unique keys and values

● Similar to Lists, but a List uses integers as its index, Hash allows user to use any
object type.
● Example:
line_item = { ‘item_name’ => ‘Acme widgets’, ‘item_qty’ => 10}
