TESTING Check battery voltage before starting the engine
should be 12-13.5 volts and record.
Check voltage with engine running. It should the
same or above the previously recorded voltage.
If it is below 11.5 v or the previously recorded
voltage check alternator drive belts and tension
as required
D+
Alternator charge signal
The voltage should be the same as the alternator
charge voltage when the engine is running.
If this falls below 11,5 volts, the Alternator may need
changing.
The voltage is above 11.5 v check the input voltage
on Pin 3 of 23 white 23 pin plug in panel module.
Check negative connection and cable If the voltage is below that of D+ then inspect wiring
continuity. Replace as necessary . for short circuit or high resistance and replace as
necessary
Check the cable continuity from the alternator to Pin
3 of 23 in the white 23 pin plug.
Replace damaged cables if required.

FAULT CODE 800108 ALTERNATOR NOT CHARGING
TESTING
• As per the circuit connections check the battery supply B+ and -Ve , check the circuit voltage, check the cables are free
from both short circuit and ground.
• Check isolator connections.
• Check battery connections
• Trace the cables + and - through from point of origin(battery) to the Alternator, Checking all terminations.
• Check connections D+ from the alternator through to plug P1 located on the side of the panel to PCB Con 2 on the inside
of the panel.
• Check W+ connections through P1 plug, P1 is located on the side of the panel to PCB Con 2 on the inside of the panel.
• Test Voltages on all circuits,
• Test continuity on all circuits.
• Check the alternator itself for damage.
Note: Just because the voltage is not being received by the controller does not mean that we need to replace the
alternator……
