A part of society believes that more waste needs to be recycled.

They think the only way to expand recycling

is by making it a law. I absolutely agree to the statement since individuals pay more attention to rules, as it
will be mentioned in this essay.

On the one hand, by not making recycling a law, government gives people the choice and the freedom of
opinion which means individuals are able to choose recycling volunteerly. Apart from that, authorities
promote recycling but do not force people to do it. For example, in Georgia government encourages citizens
to recycle waste. There are special rubbish bins for that however, it is not mandatory to reprocess the
garbage. Therefore, people can select to do this by choice.

On the other hand, from my point of view, laws are absolutely needed. People need strict rules and laws to
obey in order to recycle. A law increases awareness publically so individuals are more aware of the act of
recycling. For instance, The Netherlands have a law which says that you must have several rubbish bins at
home or elsewhere to separate paper, plastic, and food. Natives have to throw away specific garbage on a
certain day of the week otherwise, they will have to pay a fine. As a result, the country is very eco-friendly
because everyone follows the law.

To sum up, despite some benefits, I still believe that strict rules and laws are totally necessary because
people pay more attention to them, as it was mentioned in this essay.
