Some specialists think that kids should learn a foreign language at a young age, others believe it is better to start

studying it later. In my opinion, it is important to teach children a new language at primary school as it will be
mentioned in this essay.

On the one hand, there are some difficulties children will face which is struggling to articulate themselves in the
foreign language when they are still learning their mother tongue. Moreover, some kids learn languages that they
probably will not need in the future and only because it is parents’ desire. In particular, my cousin is not capable of
expressing herself neither in Georgian or in Russian and the reason is learning a new language while not really
knowing the mother tongue because of the parents’ preference.

On the other hand, I believe that younger kids can understand everything much more easily like a sponge. For
instance, children can perceive the meaning and grammar without studying them. Apart from that, playing games to
teach languages make the lessons more interested so they will learn with no difficulties. For example, my 5 years old
sister loves studying English because of the entertaining learning process.

To conclude, even though it can be challenging to learn two languages together, I still believe it is better to teach
children at a young age as it was mentioned above.
